A little bit of both to be honest. Though the former applies to every character after season 1
they are pretty meh for the part.
Aren't some of the coolest characters straight or have a yet unrevealed sexuality? Crim is straight, Loona is straight, Striker most likely either straight or disinterested in sexuality as a whole, I forgot whether Millie was bi or straight. I have nothing against gayness and bi and wouldn't be able to imagine some of the characters like Blitz(o) as straight, but personally I would have preferred Moxxie to stay straight or Millie-only, because he feels like the only "simple nice guy" of the show and I like that.
