They considered the leak of Legend of the 3 Caballeros, a wholly original show starring Donald Duck, "good enough" promotion and never did any official promotion for it. This when when the streaming service actually debuted, would in turn be hidden from the related section of other shows. Meanwhile to this day Ducktales 17 still gets promoted with the latest cameo being the valentine day couple with Della and Penumbra.
I don't get why Disney doesn't just open the floodgates to amateurs and indies. Pay them 10K each for five minutes and you'd have an entire day's worth of content in a month.
Because if the owl house has shown us anything, is if you arent "on brand" enough for disney(ie: sanitized inoffensive infantile and gynocentric) they will can your show. They want direct control over everything and to make sure everything fits into their shit brand image

The whole Florida drama happened long after that.
Owl House was as inoffensive as it could be, while also being as gynocentric as it could be as well, the entire cast is bi explicitly for girl points.
Likewise Disney wanted more Gravity Falls but Alex dipped. A show that actually wasn't on brand according to those standards.
