Why do you think Highschool of The Dead, Black Lagoon and Panty and Stocking exist?

Japanese autism is very different from western autism. They'd rather spend their time drawing 100 different pictures of Atomic Betty or Spider Ham for their next Pixiv upload than get into culture war arguments.

      >100 different pictures of
      >different
All Japanese art is the same.

What do western cartoons have to offer to Japan?

Individuality. Sexy adult women rather than sex object "adult" girls (8 years old but drawn "16" with honkers larger than her body). A different way to create something without heart or emotion. More than one art style (pre-2010). No shortcuts. Less reliance on referential/memetic/copy-pasted industry humour. A lack of a reliance on teenage male power fantasies and fake cuckoldry. Actually wanting to celebrate adulthood.

      Prior to 2013?
      Raunchy humor.
That seems to be what most of the westaboos take away from western cartoons at least, which is how we end up with stuff like Panty & Stocking.
      Now, western video games?
Those had quite a bit to offer.
      [...]
      >fluid animation
      Lol

      animation
      >Lol
Cartoons made in western countries do have fluid animation.
The early period of outsourcing also did.
Today you're right... until you look at any anime and realise you can get worse.

      Anime won't exist without westaboos.....
No Disney = No Astro Boy
No Neal Adams = No Fist Of The North Star
No Frank Frazetta = No Berserk
No Mad Magazine = No Lupin
No Powerpuff Girls = No Panty and Stocking
No Noir films = No Big O or Cowboy Bebop
No war films = No Gundam
No western capeshit = No Jap capeshit
      list goes on.
      No Westaboos = No anime

      And this is right.
You can expand it to Cinemaphile too since everyone's favourite director, Hideo, is just a plagiarist.

fluid animation that doesn't abuse anime's shortcuts, it's foreign, and many cartoons fit in with their kawaii obsession.

Western cartoons haven't been funny since the entirety of the Anglosphere was infected with a mindvirus that turned them all into directionbrained morons who think "Other side bad and dumb!" is the epitome of humour.

Japanese people ignore that stuff because it doesn't affect them, just like how most things don't bother normies except for chuds and morons.

True, but I've laughed way more times at western toons than anime, where 90% of the humour is just a poor excuse to titillate the audience.

I have too, but I've laughed about as much at post-2014 anime as I have at post-2014 cartoons.
Which is damning for the cartoons since they used to actually be funny.
Nowadays most cartoon humour is the same "WHOA, WASN'T THAT JUST SO ABSURD" and explaining the joke to me in a long-winded way like I'm a moron humour that's made anime so unfunny.

You know how the west finds stuff like ninjas, samurai, and karate exotic and foreign. They feel the same way about stuff like knights, cowboys, and pirates. Hell the biggest selling manga is about pirates.

Kojima laughing the guy who co-founded Toonami out of the room when he tried to sincerely get the green light for a Metal Gear Solid anime is a great story.

Japan is very westaboo outside of their entertainment industry. They hold the western canon in higher regard to their own stuff, and get offended if you group them up with other "foreign" countries

I know this is trying to make fun of us, but I think westaboos are based. There's a lot of debate over King of the Hill and how to watch it. Some people don't like the Japanese dub and want to catch all the cultural references.

Yep. Disney is huge in japan. Hell one of the oldest anime creators Osamu Tszuka was inspired by them to make characters like astro boy and leo the lion. And then there's stuff like Kingdom Hearts and Marvel Vs Capcom. Anime like One Punch Man and My Hero Academia were inspired by western style superhero comics. Video games like Metroid and Contra were inspired by the Alien movies. I believe Triguns setting was heavily inspired by western movies. There's more examples I can't think of rn. But yeah, they exist.

      >I believe Triguns setting was heavily inspired by western movies.
Trigun is inspired by the works of Todd Macfarlene. That's why Vash's coat will sometimes look like Spawn's cape, and the first member of a villian squad had a design loosely based on Venom (and his name was Venom backwards)
