S4 is not significantly worse in S3. Some episodes in S3 can be classified as "le evil torture porn" too like the conch and the camp episode where Squidward isn't doing anything wrong.
S5 is where it really drops off.
They did flanderize Bob amd Patrick's stupidity to that level in that episode, pretty much letting Squidward starve to death juat cause of the stupid conch, becaise S3 is when they went in a more cynical ren and stimpy soft clone route.
Now with the modern episodes they went full Ren and Stimpy clone.
I'm mostly a Spongeboomer, but that episode in season 4 where they try to make a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy movie is one of my favorite episodes of the entire show.
>Classic Era is better than Modern Era
Depends on where you consider "classic era" ends and "modern era" begins. I think episodes pre-movie had a level of coziness to them but I don't exclusively want to watch the pre-movie episodes >First SpongeBob Movie is the real finale
It kinda is, if you consider Hillenberg's word as gospel on this. >Only watch Season 1-3, never watch a single episode of Season 4-Recent
I like plenty of episodes past season 4, though I haven't watched many past 2009. >The Spinoffs are disrespectful to Stephen's last wishes
Shocker, Nickelodeon is a billion-dollar corporation and cares about money more than the wishes of the people who worked at their company.
Maybe this doesn't make me a SpongeBoomer, but maybe a SpongeXer
frick off homosexual you spam this shit constantly
you have schizophrenia
Projection
bump
Literally me
Turn 18
It's true. SpongeBob should've ended after the movie
I don't like that he's highlighter yellow now and my only problem with the post movie episodes were the fetishy/torture porn episodes.
No because that's cringe
Spongeboomer sounds like a legit episode of that show.
Don't they already reference memes on the show now?
Amazing how the discourse for this show is either being a Stephen Shillenburg fan or being an asskissing Nickelodeon foot sniffing apologist.
You are raging about adults not watching 500 episodes of a children's cartooon.
no

I wouldn't say it's awful but it's definitely not as consistently good as what came before
(S4, that is)
>camp episode where Squidward isn't doing anything wrong
>Squidward don't do that, it can be dangerous
>Oh, so I must do it
Please
Spongebob does dangerous things all the time though

S1 itself feels like a pilot on its own

Hey chris, Frick You!
What's the best season?

It's a gospel, Stephen Hillenburg was the creator; you homosexual.
learn to greentext, newbie
I liked the out of water movie. Couldn't stop smirking throughout.
