What's Naruto's goal? To become Hokage, which just means get super powerful and be old enough I guess. In the manga he essentially gets that from a deus ex machina and then a time skip, two time skips. Making a Naruto LA is just asking for a couple seasons where nothing of consequence happens, and then cancelled, no resolution, a complete waste of time.
FMA would be a better pick, the Japanese live action ones look like shit.
I'd go for Eyeshield 21 though, you could switch that to the US, shift the focus to state level and not lose that much of the story
