They destroyed Neon Genesis Evangelion and all they did was change voice actors. I only pay for Netflix because my parents use it.

No, I don't watch modern TV catered to gays. Also it sounds terrible (probably because it was made by the lgbtq+ community)

    >So that's something, again, that's part of the process of going from Nickelodeon cartoon to a Netflix serialized drama
You can hear the contempt for the animation medium

I actually read the twitter post and all it says is that they gave Aang more agency, he wants to get to the north pole quick instead of taking detours everywhere because the original was a cartoon with a mandate for episodes with self-contained stories.

      >they gave Aang more agency
He already had agency in the original. His detours were meant as a hard cope since he initially ran away from Southern Air Temple because he didn't want to bear the responsibility of becoming the next Avatar.

but that could be a short montage instead of an episode about two moronic tribes.

      >All we're doing is changing Aang's personality, and Sokka's and Katara's
Yeah, they can go frick themselves. It's funny people started going this could be good until the writers started bombing like this.

Doesn't that give him less agency? Aang is purely in "I must defeat the Fire Lord" mode rather than his journey of balancing trying to maintain his care free nature before he discovered being the Abatap with being entirely consumed by his duty and consequences of that.

all it means is a shorter episode count with more emphasis on the plot heavy stuff
