You know I was wondering why I saw two rippaverse threads in the last week and this explains it. They were getting ready to shill the next thing.
Nobody talks about this shit unless there's eventually an ask for money.
It's also telling that any "discussion" absolutely flops unless it's being babysat as part of a marketing push or sneaked into other topics. Guess we'll soon be seeing more from whatever third world marketing team gets hired to push this.
I honestly wonder if any of these guys ever talk about things that they do like. Any specific runs they enjoyed and aspire to in their own work? Even if it's older stuff. I always get this feeling of deja vu from these types where they act like scrappy innovators but end up reinventing a shoddy imitation of the wheel they claim to be challenging.
