In my experience, in his pre-Batman days he went around being trained in everything he could. For example, in BTAS, he was trained by the world's greatest magician (Zatanna's father) in escape arts before leaving to Japan to be trained in martial arts. Also, the world's leading expert in AI from Cybertron Industries "taught me everything I know about electronics." He's been around.
He spent a nearly a decade learning all his skills one year and one teacher at a time. Did a year with Zatanna to learn how to become an escape artist, did a year with Ras/Random Ninjas (depending on the continunity) to learn how to sneak in the shadows and be an assassin, did a year with the best martial artist in the world learning to become a total badass with his fists, did a year under some tech genius to learn a bunch of tech shit, etc etc.
>Batman and Joker had the same teacher... and he's black
Innovative. Bold. Daring. Stunning. Surely this entirely novel choice will be the one that finally saves DC comics. Here's hoping Green Lantern also comes out as trans and we finally have a panel of her chest feeding her infant, non binary child. Then the Green Latern Core can remind everyone that male breast milk is just as good as female. That would be epic. Oh, and then maybe Superman's son can get double fisted by his Asian-American purple haired boyfriend (wearing gloves made from pink kryptonite of course) while the Legion of Superheroes claps. I love comics.
>focusing on the fact that he's black >not the fact that Batman and the fricking JOKER have the same teacher >not the fact that it's batshit moronic and against the entire characters 80 year history for Joker to have a teacher
The dude being black is the least of the problems with this, especially since pic related has existed for decades and is one of the three smarest, if not THE smartest, earthlings in DC.
Now this makes sense
Best jokar
Now I need to see how Cinemaphile is seething.
>Black person
>smartest man in the world
kek
The trope is far too common. If there's a genius it has to be a black or a woman.
wasnt Batman trained by several asian guys?
I thought Batman trained himself

Yeah! Wasn't he trained by those raas al gula guys
League of Shadows, yes. I don't know comic books well, but that was in Batman Begins

>Did a year with Zatanna to learn how to become an escape artis
Zatara, Zatanna's father.
fricking stupid
Yes, but what about the Joker Baby? How does he fit into the story?
He is luccius Fox?
Henry Duccard i assume. But he was a white guy last i checked.
Anyone who spends money on modern comics has to have brain damage.
>Joker
>trained
>he didn't go to clown college
He went to clowns.

That's just how unlikely it is for the smartest man alive to be black. I'm sorry, you're going to have to live with this fact.
Who cares. American comics are dead. Read manga.
>Read manga.
i rather read shampoo directions
>"I trained him wrong as a joke. I even called him Joker to make it obvious, but he took it as his name. What a dumbass!"
I did not mind this. It's better executed than you'd think.
