3 was good, I think. It might just have been the lockdown that made it seem that way.
I wish they wouldn't do sequels but just work together again. But I get that getting the money together for a movie is easier if you have that brand.
Who would be the audience for that? I liked the first two movies when I was the right age to like that sort of thing but 'Bill & Ted' don't have anywhere near enough cultural cachet to attract a new generation of fans and the Gen-Xers who grew up with it are going to want nostalgia, which that wouldn't be.
3 would have worked if they'd been two guys who were sick of the modern world and wanted to go back. that would have captured the sentiment of the people who liked the first films.
i'm not going to use marketing terms to vaguely determine their 7 year time slot "generations" because I'm not a fricking spastic.
probably because I'm a saggitarious with jupiter passing through to gemini.
I found it unwatchable and after having avoided seeing it for a while, I ended up skipping through and managed about fifteen minutes of it in total.
one and two had been some of my favourite films, saw the in the cinema when they first came out. they were a piece of magic, but the third one shouldn't have existed. >Checking if the site connection is secure…

This. Keanu just didn't play his character at all. He never once smiled. He was basically just John Wick on Valium. It was cheap CGI and a cutesy plot. It was built up for fricking ever but like all of those long-gestating sequels: Dumb and Dumber To, Sin City 2, Zoolander 2, it just didn't bring it AT ALL. And I blame this solely on Keanu because he clearly feels so "Zen" and above it, always having to combat this idea that he's dumb. He's managed to stay a top-billed action star for 30 years and doesn't want to put on the goofy face from his roots. He failed at drama in many movies like Dangerous Liasons and Dracula, having a weak and vague accent. Then he did Speed which was a surprise hit, then lightning struck again with The Matrix, and he's been chugging along ever since, milking his seriousness for all it's worth. It's like trying to get Bill Murray to do a real comedy again after he turned the page in Rushmore. He'll do the droll Wes Anderson "comedy", but his slapstick weirdo character days are unfortunately over.
>This. Keanu just didn't play his character at all.
Yes, he did. I'm sorry you're an imbecile with zero life experience but he was categorically Ted, only one that is a father well into the latter half of his life and whose dreams never worked out. He was beaten down and all but completely defeated. He was worried about his daughter. >DURRRR HOW COME HE WASN'T JUST LOL "WHOA!" THE ENTIRE TIME, TED IS LIKE THAT, THAT WASN'T TED
You're not a fricking person. What we got in the movie was a person. Congratulations on not understanding or recognizing humanity.
yes he was well into the latter half of his later mid-life years which is well before the later middle half of his later years.
are you a woman, or mentally ill? I'd really like to see a photo of you, and a complete personality profile, just so I can say "ah yes, makes sense".
fricking fruitloop
it was dogshit, the film was an insult to the originals and none of them seemed to want to be there, fricking horse's arse of a mash-up.

I'm Glad I'm Dead was pretty good. I don't know if George was just that deep in the zeitgeist or if he was so basic an AI could re-create him, but it was a damn good approximation
>the first movie came out in 1989
Funny how 99% of modern culture is basically gayer, less inspired version of 80s-90s culture. The rate of cultural change seems to have ground to a crawl after 1999 or so. Can you think of a piece of modern media that you could take back 30 years ago and people would have their minds blown by how different and groundbreaking it is? But then compare 1990s culture and 1960s culture and it's basically two different planets. It's like we're stuck in a groundhog day and can only rehash the stuff we already have.
I saw this happening 20 years ago, the death of tv/film.
they ran out of ideas, after 100 years of pushing everything they could there was just nothing more to do. so they have to recycle, send old stuff through the chopshop, but it's like a modern art student trying to formulaically reproduce "what made the mona lisa great" using poster paints and a dustbin lid.
it'll come out stilted and unpleasing.
Every generation has some defining cultural zeitgeist. Zoomers have nothing. This "but old people said the same" low IQ response died when the internet and social media changed everything. Almost everything they are making is remakes or sequels of old shit. I work in a school, zoomer kids are fricking talking about Seinfeld episodes they watch.
ah yes, the facebook canned 'opinion' that "everything is a cycle, stop thinking".
i remember 450 years ago when they said tv was dead and look! it's still kicking!!
mindless fricking idiot
Then you didn't pay attention to people like Warhol who specifically said it was so dead it would have to give everyone fifteen minutes of fame to sustain itself.
In the 90s they said TV had gone downhill and it was nothing but visual junk food
it's almost as if things have been becoming worse over the last century as media and israelitery have approached saturation point.
if you think rebooting superman, batman and spiderman every 2 years is completely normal and refreshing, then you've no need for a lobotomy
They have been remaking the Odyssey and Hero's Journey for thousands of years even your beloved "original" films from yesteryear like Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland were remakes of remakes.
At least they would try to present a new setting and characters now they can't even be bothered to do that.
If I was president I would lock up and execute all you homosexuals who go "whatabout" as a response to every argument. You collectively lower all our IQs and need to go.
yeah and all books are trash, the only real book is a stone tablet in 10,000 BC because all the other ones had words in them so they're exactly the same.

I hope it's not. The one guy that was binary was annoying as frick whenever she was interviewed.

I liked their daufhters. They were fricking goofy and weird in the way you'd expect the kids of Bill and ted to be.
I turned it off when I realized what they meant by face the music. All of modern Hollywood is trash.
I thought snape was killed off
They were saying the same thing about B+T3 for years, so I'm not holding much hope. Besides, they're too old, let it rest as a trilogy.

high IQ post, say more analysis of things
I never watched it, I didn't want the memory of a good thing completely raped by bad ideas.
don't. I was doing the same by avoiding it but eventually was so bored i checked a stream. it was empty and pointless
It never did happen if you don't watch it. I loved 1 & 2, but knew 3 would be a trainwreck so I'll never watch it.
Make Keanu keep the beard for this one
He looks fine without it. Here's him during filming Matrix 4. I guess he just put on a bit of weight during Bill and Ted.
his daughter is going to be pissed
I'm Glad I'm Dead was pretty good. I don't know if George was just that deep in the zeitgeist or if he was so basic an AI could re-create him, but it was a damn good approximation
Get Keanu to make Speed 3
Have Jason Patrick in it too. But no Sandy Bullock, she's a Canadian prostitute.
he should make matrix 4 first
2 and 3 weren't great but it would be nice to see him again and trinity too if she can be involved somehow
>he should make matrix 4 first
He did.
Maybe they can just combine B&T 4 with Speed 3 and knock them both out at once, two birds, one stone and all.

For me, it's Freaked. Pity it ruined Alex Winter's career.
it was awful and shouldnt have been made. I can only imagine 8 year olds liking it
I liked it when I was in 6th grade and then I watched it a few years ago and it's still pretty funny, so that means you are wrong.
it just means you have the mind of an low IQ 8 year old.
that's alright apparently, because mutants are normal nowadays
