It is a bit boring of line, really. This universe has an Indian New York... Doesn't that imply India... Colonized America? It really makes no sense. Just a poorly written joke that really belongs in a 2013 movie - we fricking get it, the British took things when they came to foreign lands. Those things are in the UK now, and occupy weird shared history where they were made somewhere else, then seized by a conquering force and brought home.
There is an obsession with history in humanity, and it is highly boring. For example, I don't give a frick about American slavery as a guilt-trip, I merely acknowledge the path we took to get where we are now, and continue to live my life as I see fit. The demand that anyone remember the sins of men 6+ generations prior is fricking nuts, and even further (such as colonization) is even more insane.
If their leaders really wanted those artifacts, they'd trade for them back or exert the effort to reclaim them, whether that's through politics, invasion, or theft. Nobody gives a frick, stop pretending India is dying without gemstone hat #153 and fix your fricking plumbing.

          >Gradually became like India
          ??????????????
Cultures in separate countries do not blend without significant forced interaction, through violence or otherwise. Architecture might partially bleed with engineers crossing borders, but an entire city of a single race and building style? They colonized it, or at least were the biggest contributor to immigration the entire time. America has whites beside of Britain, blacks because of slavery, Latinos because of proximity, and Asians because of recent (<100 years) trends. You do NOT wind up with that many people and buildings by accident or by "copying".

Because peoples stole from other groups all the time. India wasn't some unified country for all of history. Which means the sin being brought up isn't the theft or conflict, but that they were european. Why is it worse for a Brit conquer to an Indian than it is for another Indian to do so to them? As such it becomes an accusation of being European. An accusation of being competent really.

I don't think it's correct to say Indian people are unconfident. To go up to any woman in the world and ask to see her breasts? That takes balls. To scratch the shit out of your ass and proved to eat half cooked lamb on a stick? That takes balls. No other race can claim that.

Whoa. I'm not upset about the half cooked lamb. Medium rare is the patrician's choice. But you gotta be careful. Rooting around in feces before handling meat is not careful.

        Anonymous

its not "half cooked" try eating both to see the difference, you will see the indian "fully cooked" one if very dry and hard to eat and chew

but the rare ones will melt in your mouth and very easy to eat

obviously blue is raw, but medium rare is good

Because it's limiting and would result in banal and uninteresting stories, and because, as established throughout the thread, racial preference is common enough that what would be most pleasing to audiences isn't a hodgepodge of ethnicicites in each film, but movies geared towards certain ethnic groups with a cast of that ethnic group (black films would want things like black doctors and rocket scientists if the plot calls for the need of such specialists, even though this is at odds with observed reality).

It can feel overcompensating though, almost to the point of parody. Watch a rajinikanth film and you will see what I mean.

I have yet to see a movie with a Hungarian character in it, in fact all Hungarian actors are made to play Romanians in Hollywood movies, if there are even any after Béla Lugosi. Frick off with your "we need representation" dogshit. I get none and I'm perfectly fine without it.

    >As an Indian American guy, it was actually cool to see an Indian male character
    >Now I know why Black people are always crying for representation.
Low IQ pajeet can't enjoy a story unless he imagines himself in it
