Depending on how much you're aware of showbiz coverage and gossip you may remember how cyclically every year or two some photos will come out from an event where Tom Cruise looks like fricking shit and people will proclaim it's over for him. Then when the movie comes out he looks great in it, and on the red carpet at the premier he looks just as good. Touchups cause really bad inflammation and often celebs will go into hiding during the healing phase but sometimes scheduling requires them be out and about attending functions. If they're smart they nosell the response and a few weeks to a month later they're back to normal and everyone has long since forgotten about it.
