I hate the way I'm supposed to be really impressed by the James Webb telecope images when they're basically no better than the Hubble stuff we've already seen. Reddit is eating it up.
Yeah that was crazy to me - i mean i know these things are not for visual amusement and they're trying to work out specific stuff, is why they made this, so it makes it very strange that so many people including reputable news outlets, think they have to pretend that HD vs SD pics of the same galaxies is some kind of mind-bending thing. Yes, you can see them in the old hubble pics. they just look less galaxy'y to an untrained observer. I was shocked when they got out the old pic and it was hardly worse, I thought it was going to be 4 pixels.
It gets worse.
Science and Atheism are utterly moronic and super easy to debunk like a trumpian-russian fake news: you have atheists who claim that immaterial math formulas they themselves invented run the material universe every millisecond across billions of light years, since 13 billions years ago LOL. how is this not moronic.
Oh and by the way, when they are asked to say where do those immaterial formulas live and where they come from and how they act on matter, they can't fricking answer, can they?
Ask an atheist how a photon, stemming from the annihilation of an electrons (e–) and a positron (e+) , knows that it has to follow Maxwell's rules, as soon as the photon comes into existence. Just ask him. And I can tell you what you will observe, because it's cause and effect: the atheist will be in his most vulnerable state, drymouthed, sweating profusely, hands trembling, in a state of intense anguish, because he knows he has no comeback. Zero. Jack shit. At this point in time, the atheist is consumed by a fear that is darker than the terror of death and which will never leave him until he dies.
You know how atheists say a bunch of deformed illiterate inbreds rolling in shit, beating their children and women personalized Nature when they said gods were an amalgamation of the base fears of early humans. Well since the day a few atheist bugmen created computers, they are saying the universe is a computer too lol. That's their big brain idea and that's how dumb atheists are lol.
>there's tangible evidence that this supposed virus is actually a bio weapon created by the government in hopes achieving global domination, Scully >Mulder that's preposterous. I'm gonna see to it that Skinner appoints you a much needed psyche evaluation >F*** you you blue pilled b***h! I'm gonna pair up with Doggett instead. At least he buys me hot dogs sometimes. Oh yeah, *sigh* the cigarette smoking man has somehow returned.
>Oh yeah, *sigh* the cigarette smoking man has somehow returned.
They did this so many times that I was confused when he actually did die falling down some stairs
My homie, after that he died getting blown up by a missile in the original series finale and then he died again getting shot and drowned at the end of the revival (or did he???)
is joke, but seriously Mulder being basically alone in the heart of the jungle and they ayys show up, and that way the voyager message starts up all distorted, and the worker who gets scared to death, it really makes for the comfiest episode
>when the Hispanic paints the alien face on the wall
I remember getting seriously spooked. Just like in the episode when they are that mine and ayys appear out of nowhere.
Based, what a classic episode. You can show it to people without prior knowledge of X-Files, and the series entire dynamic will be perfectly encapsulated there. Top stuff.

My god, do they really say that? Shit like this used to be always be anons trolling with their shoops, but today's utterly braindead entertainment is written by homosexualty millennials who think referencing shit like Cinemaphile will make their god awful scripts seem "hip" and "current."
I didn't watch it but it should be real. In the same series they also reference Zootopia porn.. I suppose the writers room is infested with ex Tumblrinas.
I showed my brother the opening without telling him it was a crazy episode that he had to see, dude was staring wide eyed at the tv and got pissed when he saw the x files into. Absolutely worth it.
They were sure that was going to be the final season so they stopped trying. They also rushed out some moronic "answer" to Samantha's fate and they let Mulder and Scully have sex.
It's implied in one of the later season's episode openings that they fricked. You see scully putting her clothes on and leaving while mulder is still sleeping in bed
Yep. Interestingly, that episode (written by Gillian Anderson) originally didn't have that scene but it was added later.
Also in season 9 one of the super soldiers/NSA agent lists several facts about Scully and he mentions something like "I know how one lonely night you invited Mulder to your bed", so that was probably the first time.
>Maybe I'm just not making myself clear. I don't want to frick with you, Mulder, but I got the connections. I got the organization. I got the muscle to shove a UFO so far up your stupid wop ass that you'll shit little green men for a year.

This is the line of thinking the cucks in this thread want you to follow, just because the streets aren't lined with bodies doesn't mean there hasn't been an extremely high amount if adverse reactions to the vaccine which isn't even a real vaccine, Reminder they had to change the definition of vaccine so they could label this shit as such.

It's extremely ineffective. It doesn't stop you catching or passing on covid and don't forget the endless adverse reactions and trial data that Pfizer tried to have hidden for 75 years.

But it does severely reduce the chance of catching and passing it on, this is straight fact >don't forget the endless adverse reactions and trial data that Pfizer tried to have hidden for 75 years.

This alone shows what a disingenuous homosexual you are. You vax Black folk can't even argue in good faith.
Oh I thought you were saying it had a previous history of 75 years of problems, not that they're trying to hide it over the next 75 years, my bad.
Also it's the FDA that has to release their licensing information about the vaccine over the next eight months instead of over the next 75 years, not Pfizer, read the article. >The Food and Drug Administration won't have 75 years to release thousands of pages of documents it relied on to license its COVID-19 vaccine. Instead, the federal agency will have just over eight months to do so, per a federal judge's ruling. >Rather than producing 500 pages a month, the FDA's proposed timeline, Pittman ordered the agency to turn over 55,000 a month. That means all the Pfizer vaccine data should be public by the end of September rather than the year 2097, the deadline that the FDA wanted.

One of the comfiest shows of all time and I'm not sure why. Something about the 90s vibe, the stars and the settings coalesce into something transcendent.
I recognized the sticky because I watched some episodes this year, but I never made the connection of the name of the board with the show until now. wtf

FRICK you scully you fricking b***h this is all YOUR fault
I'd almost be interesting in putting in the time to watch this (watched some when it was on TV), but isn't it all "it's the government bro" in the end?
There was no long term plan and the show consistently has to do out of nowhere ass pulls that frick everything up. Makes LOST look outright well written.
how the frick is it all "it's the government" if there explicitly are aliens in the x-files universe?
it is "all government" mostly but there are confirmed extraterrestrial elements that fuel it. more or less gov is aware of these things and t hen does black ops experiments.
Honestly, you're better off ignoring most of the mythology episodes and sticking to the monster-of-the-week episodes, instead. It's not that they're bad (usually). They're just disappointing and not worth the time investment to understand what the hell is going on.
The inability to find the "truth," the constant chase, is actually one of the biggest thematic throughlines of the show. Those who are disappointed it was never wrapped up with a bow kind of miss the point and vibe of the show. It'd never be satisfying regardless of the explanation. The closest they came to ending the arc was season 5. If anyone wants definitive answers they can just pretend the show ended there, but imo, the truth always has to be "out there" for the show to stay true to itself.
they went back and forth on it a bit since as mulder points out, he's correct like 90 something percent of the time which makes scully look moronic so they added a character (Kritschgau) later to try to make it more ambiguous but it was way too late
Yes, its the government that put a black oil on the earth before recorded history. Also its the government that sent anti-colonists and shapeshifters to war it out with each other. Also the government created an artifact that gave Mulder psychic powers.
Did anybody else watch the fat Haley Joel Osment episode from the last season? It was one of the better monster of the weeks and even though he's really weird looking now, that fricker can act. Actually it sort of ties in to the government thing in a Jacob's Ladder rip-off sort of way.
How is Scully still alive? She's had cancer ,been shot , had a huge parasite inserted in her back, abducted & impregnated by aliens , almost killed by Mulders author neighbor, saved at the last second by Mulder or Skinner , and many more i can remember right now
>How is Mulder still alive? He's had black oil, been shot , had a psychotic meltdown from an alien artifact, abducted & gene spliced by aliens , buried alive for months, saved at the last second by Scully or Skinner , and many more i can remember right now

X-Files is peak television, really. Even though it had a LOT of humorous and comedic moments, it kept a consistent overall tone. Compared to X-Files, most modern TV shows are basically live-action cartoons because Zillennial morons can't process anything else.
Fall will be here soon anon. What could possibly be comfier on a drizzly autumn evening than a blanket, some warm grub, and X-Files kino on your TV?
X-Files is peak television, really. Even though it had a LOT of humorous and comedic moments, it kept a consistent overall tone. Compared to X-Files, most modern TV shows are basically live-action cartoons because Zillennial morons can't process anything else.
Haven't watched the new episodes yet but yes, I started rewatching in-order like two months ago and it is extremely comfy.
Anyone else has X-Files books? I have pic rel The Official Archives which is like a real-looking casefile from MotW episodes. Definitely worth the price.
Then I have the three The Official Collection books by Titan, volume 1 and 2 of Book of the Unexplained by Jane Goldman and X Marks The Spot: on location with The X-Files by Gradnitzer & Pittson.
I read online a couple of comics but they were pretty lame. Are there some good ones?
The X-Files is a tremendously atmospheric, stylish, and well-filmed show that is constantly let down by the fact that the writers were making up the overarching plotline as they went along and so that whole overarching plotline ends up being a giant tease that kinda fizzles out into increasing cheesy ludicrousness like the bounty hunters which goes away from the stark spooky mysteriousness of the show's original promise.
Has any tv show not been like this? As far as I understand it this 'making up as they go' is the defining feature of the television medium, the unbroachable hard-line distinction that separates it from film
>Has any tv show not been like this?
Babylon 5 famously went into production with all 4 seasons planned out in advance. That depends on the showrunner and how much they're willing to bet on their show not getting cancelled prematurely.
Season 1 is kino, after that it just loses focus. Season 2 went the "deepest lore" route, and then it all gets soft rebooted after Lance Hernrickes goes back to FBI, and it becomes X-Files lite.
The first 5 seasons are pure kino. I've always much preferred the monster of the week episodes to the mytharc episodes, but at least back then the mytharc episodes were okay.
After season 5 ended and the movie came out, it all started going to shit. The show was too popular for its own good, Duchovny got a big head, and they moved production from Vancouver to LA. Moving to LA was a TERRIBLE decision, because it ruined the comfy and spooky atmosphere that those first 5 seasons had. It was all Duchovny's fault, too. LA's filming locations couldn't hold a candle to Vancouver's, and the filming crew they had in LA were maybe technically superior, but the results certainly indicate that.
Post-movie, there were still good episodes, but the mytharc stuff became unbearable, and the shuffling around of the main cast made it obvious that the show had stuck around longer than it should've.
The revival seasons are both fascinating and absolutely horrible.

Why does the series turn bad in season 7?
They were sure that was going to be the final season so they stopped trying. They also rushed out some moronic "answer" to Samantha's fate and they let Mulder and Scully have sex.
Didn't Mulder jerk off into a tube to get Scully pregnant?

Watergate scandal reference, which itself was a porn reference
just a reference to watergate to extend the story. mulder was controlled opposition but higher ups empathized with him.

It's more tragic that boomers fell for Watergate.
Its a reference to the Metal Gear Solid Ninja

Just when the girl mentioned Zootopia porn and Wesker's clone mentioned PornHub, the New Resident Evil show sucked immediately.
Even capeshit movies try to write something so they don't make you look away or get bored.
I swear, porn movies (which I don't Like at all and they ruin fun with having sex) Will have Way Better written plot then any other movie.
Wrong thread dummy
Yes, its the government that put a black oil on the earth before recorded history. Also its the government that sent anti-colonists and shapeshifters to war it out with each other. Also the government created an artifact that gave Mulder psychic powers.
How did this even become a thing?
As of right now I'm officially re starting the Nords, because black and browns gotten too strong, and yellow is behind them
Did anybody else watch the fat Haley Joel Osment episode from the last season? It was one of the better monster of the weeks and even though he's really weird looking now, that fricker can act. Actually it sort of ties in to the government thing in a Jacob's Ladder rip-off sort of way.
>another xfiles thread ruined by lunatic schizos
As expected.
kino
Mr.X was so frickin cool, kind of annoyed how they got rid of him
I liked when Scully tried to pull a gun on him, but he easily disarms her.
How is Scully still alive? She's had cancer ,been shot , had a huge parasite inserted in her back, abducted & impregnated by aliens , almost killed by Mulders author neighbor, saved at the last second by Mulder or Skinner , and many more i can remember right now
Believe women.
She's canonically immortal.
She lost her immortality in Tithonus.
>You know, there are worse ways to go, but I can't think of a more undignified way than autoerotic asphyxiation.
>Why are you telling me that?
>How is Mulder still alive? He's had black oil, been shot , had a psychotic meltdown from an alien artifact, abducted & gene spliced by aliens , buried alive for months, saved at the last second by Scully or Skinner , and many more i can remember right now
As of this thread, I am re-opening the Sex Files.
But seriously Gillybean was my first celebrity fap.
Anybody remember areyou.com? The best place to find celebrity fakes back 1999?
Absolutely ruined by her not doing the Scully voice.
She’s not really British. The Scully voice was her real voice. Her life is an X-File
I'm thinking of rewatching it for the first time in like 20 years. Does it still hold up? Are the new episodes worth watching?
Haven't watched the new episodes yet but yes, I started rewatching in-order like two months ago and it is extremely comfy.
>Are the new episodes worth watching?
Not really.
Thank you, X-bros.
>Are the new episodes worth watching?
The two darin morgan episodes are. That's about it.
Just started a rewatch last week after torrenting the entire series, yes it holds up.
>Mulder. I'm officially re-opening Scully.
Supernatural as well started off like this. 5 seasons I think
colenel codwell, im SGC
I can't believe he had sex with Carter.
wtf
Is Millenium worth watching? I started it a couple months ago, but gave up after like 4 episodes.
Season 1 is kino, after that it just loses focus. Season 2 went the "deepest lore" route, and then it all gets soft rebooted after Lance Hernrickes goes back to FBI, and it becomes X-Files lite.
Bad Blood is a pretty good episode tbh
The first time I watched that scene I clapped and cheared.
Skinner is awesome.
How good was the chemistry between the two in the first few seasons?
That early 90s vibe is truly irreplicable. Season 1 is something special.
For me? He will always be….SHOCKER
why did they drop aliens and go with 'supersoldiers' that was fricking wack as frick
stargate is better than xfile
is smoking man even human?
That thing would give great head
