Adoptive mother. Women that have to adopt a kid are insufferable c**ts. It's like nature was trying to tell them something and they ignored it.

When was the last time a full on musical did well?
I don't know nor do I care.
I tried to give the homosexual singing cannibal barber movie a chance, I was out by the verses.
Again, I gave the Willy Wanker movie a chance, fricking hated it.
Maybe it is childhood nostalgia, but aside from Gene Wilders movie, I cannot sit through a man singing or song and dance.
LaLaLand went for an oscar lmao. It was a good movie. Sweeny Todd is also a very good musical movie, despite the lackluster singing compared to the broadway musical
Wonka, that was all original songs though, last time for a jukebox musical might have been the mama mia sequel, actually i'm not even sure that did well
do the guardians of the galaxy movies count? probably not
>$100M box
joker did $1B and made women gays and israelites uncomfortable. theyre doing a musical because its cheap easy and safe. they dont care that that theyre leaving another billion on the table
>dangers of transphobia
more like the dangers of white supremacy. everyone in ~~*hollywood*~~ were pissing their pants before the first movie came out thinking it would cause another holocaust.
>Joker >massive concern posting from leftists how it’s an incel movie and will cause shootings >has an overarching message of how society treats the mentally unwell and ostracizes them while preaching acceptance creates villains like the Joker >second film will just be cover song quirk chungus in order to taint the first film’s cultural impact
lol
Hey it worked for that newest atrocity that was the Matrix movie that made Neo a cuck b***h and made the woman the strong savior thus negating the spirit of the first movie about love fate and destiny
Joker 2 will be Harley's daydream. She's probably a failed singer turned psychologist.
The movie is called "Joker: Folie à Deux" which translates to "madness for two" and basically means shared psychosis/delusions. So they will probably both be unreliable narrators sharing the same delusions
Something cool about the first Joker was the way Arthur danced to the OST, even though it wasn't actually playing in his world he was hearing it, so leaning into the musical element and adding Harley is a cool idea. But the fact it's just covers is gay and killed my interest in it
moulin rouge and mamma mia did very well and are also beloved. beats me why they would be, but they are
also you need talent and creativity to write original material, and nobody associated with this flick has any to speak of
you'd think at least part of the bloated budget would have gone to hiring said talent, but apparently it all went to the rights to old showtunes and the leads' paycheck
I’m sure you have heard of the musical singing in the rain.Did you know that the main song “singing in the rain” wasn’t made for that film and was actually used originally for a different broadway show 30 years before the movie and was used by a ton of other shows before.
>cover songs
This is gonna be a fricking disaster. Nobody watches a musical to listen to songs they already know.
Mamma Mia, moulin rouge, singing in the rain, meet me in St. Louis, an American in Paris, jersey boys, across the universe, A ton of famous musicals don’t use original music.
It's such an out of left field decision that you'd think those responsibles would at least believe in the project, but apparently they could not even bother to write something original for it
The sequel wouldn't have been greenlit if they didn't distance it as much as possible from any potential incel audience. Remember when the first movie can out the US MILITARY was being briefed on the incel threat level.
>why did they decide to make it a musical? any interest i had in the movie died instantly when i first heard about it.
It's a filler movie. This is just going to be his delusions in the mental hospital, bonding with Harley, then breaking out. The third film is a flash forward, where Arthur confronts Batman finally but it's still from Arthur's perspective. As in, he has to figure out why there's some masked man in black stalking him, and thrwarting his crimes and schemes. The film will end with Arthur's death making a proper finale.
I would argue that most people watch musicals to listen to songs they already know and love. It's like 90% of the reason why Les Miserables is still performed.
holy shit it's real!
https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/joker-sequel-folie-a-deux-everything-we-know-1234998470/ >Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn
I may have to to watch it just to see how they deal with introducing her. They already established nujoker as an incel that disgusts women and now they have to explain why one woman is obsessed with him. They'll have to either change joker completely or do some character development backflips with Harley.
>t. never read the archives
No one who hates anime would have used Cinemaphile 20 years ago.
I really hope they don't go that far. Wouldn't mind if they made a cheeky reference to her songs but it would just be cringe and make no sense if they actually sang them.
It’s a really bizarre decision and I’m not sure what to think about it at all. I love musicals, I’ve seen countless amounts of them irl, so this should be getting me hype, but it’s just too fricking weird for me to get my head around.
I thought at first it was the casting of Lady Gaga that made me a bit apprehensive but as time goes on I’m realising it’s the whole fricking thing. It’s either going to be too fricking mental that it bombs or it’ll be the best thing in years.
>Thanks for the gun, it saved my life in a self defence situation which you warned me might happen >Wahh I got fired cause I brought a gun to a kid's hospital >I still owe you money for that dont I? >Now you die!
Terrible friend to have, why is he considered the good guy again?
>Cover songs
holy fricking dropped
Joker is a movie that shouldn't have a sequel but the decision to make it a musical made me kind of interested in seeing it. Now I'm back to having no idea what the point of this is
I have to admit I was thinking about the Joker performances and Hamills, Ledgers and Nicholson's all came to mind, and this one didnt. Tho Wakeen's was good without Batman whats the fricking point?
wtf..
>killed his mother
I won't be watching it.
Adoptive mother. Women that have to adopt a kid are insufferable c**ts. It's like nature was trying to tell them something and they ignored it.
T. adopted
Dont worry all mothers are c**ts, even the pretend ones.
When was the last time a full on musical did well?
Sweeny Todd was great but:
wonka released in 2023
I don't know nor do I care.
This was for kids but it made over 400m in 2017. La La Land made almost 500m. Can’t think of others
My sister was in highschool at the time and I had to listen to her and her friends playing that soundtrack constantly for months
LaLaLand went for an oscar lmao. It was a good movie. Sweeny Todd is also a very good musical movie, despite the lackluster singing compared to the broadway musical
Does Barbie count?
Wonka just came out late last year and became the fifth highest grossing live-action musicals.
Eh. I don't think one proper musical number is enough to count as a musical.
Wonka, that was all original songs though, last time for a jukebox musical might have been the mama mia sequel, actually i'm not even sure that did well
do the guardians of the galaxy movies count? probably not
Mean Girls

grease, blues brothers and less mis are kino as frick

May?? She better write at least 5 good songs for this. The song she wrote for that movie with American sniper sucked.

It‘a all gonna be in his head right?
Joker 2 will be Harley's daydream. She's probably a failed singer turned psychologist.

>It's all in his/her head
Testing the waters already, huh shills?
Sorry, musicals don't interest me because I'm not a menopausal woman or a homosexual male
I think they are just needle drops like suicide squad.
>15 Cover Songs
>Original tracks MAY be added
What's the point of a musical if you're just going to cover existing songs?
Covering existing songs that people already like is less of a risk than writing new material.
moulin rouge and mamma mia did very well and are also beloved. beats me why they would be, but they are
also you need talent and creativity to write original material, and nobody associated with this flick has any to speak of

Oh frick you dude
>why did they decide to make it a musical? any interest i had in the movie died instantly when i first heard about it.

Knew it was over the second I read lady troony is in it
When are you incels going to stop trying to push this narrative that Lady Gaga isn't the hottest Italian woman in human history?
she isn't even hotter than italian men she's a bridge troll
meanwhile pic rel is you lmao

He had the more attractive personality change to mass murderer remember.
>be party clown
>everyone hates you
>be mass murderer

What exactly are the writers trying to say?
"writing realistic yet commercially viable plots is too hard because we're hacks"
>Can't read my, can't read my, No, he can't read my Joker face
>he was a joke
>she was a her
>what else can I say
this would be kino if they had the balls to do it
kino
J-j-j- joker face, f-f-frick her face
>>Can't read my, can't read my, No, he can't read my Joker face
I can't remember, is Joker ever referred to as "the joker" at all in the original film?
No he says
>I want you to introduce me as Joker
not The Joker, so you are right.
Will they have the balls to have Joker and Harley singing and dancing Bad Romance to each other?
I really hope they don't go that far. Wouldn't mind if they made a cheeky reference to her songs but it would just be cringe and make no sense if they actually sang them.
The musical numbers are all showtune/judy garland/fred astaire bullshit. I don’t really have a problem with that especially when Hildur is scoring it.
Musical chads, we are so back!
It’s a really bizarre decision and I’m not sure what to think about it at all. I love musicals, I’ve seen countless amounts of them irl, so this should be getting me hype, but it’s just too fricking weird for me to get my head around.
