In it's defense, if you have the stand-alone V6 set (which is still in print), you can just throw the complete series V6 discs into the trash and insert the stand-alone V6 discs into the set as they are exactly the same save for the loss
It's got the last four seasons which were never released on DVD and a copy of the Aqua Teen movie that wasn't pressed on factory rejected blank DVDs, meaning you can actually watch the movie as copies of the original release ATHF movie were infamous for having production errors that made the discs unplayable in any DVD player.
>a copy of the Aqua Teen movie that wasn't pressed on factory rejected blank DVDs, meaning you can actually watch the movie as copies of the original release ATHF movie were infamous for having production errors that made the discs unplayable in any DVD player.
To be honest, family this is the most Aqua Teen thing ever.
Physical Media can't be edited after the fact, it can't be removed from streaming services, and as long as you're not an absolute moron you shouldn't have to worry about disc rot in your lifetime. Pirating is a fine option too but data loss is still possible even if you're careful and if you want to support the show legally it isn't an option. Physical media reigns supreme and homosexuals ruined it for the rest of us by rejecting it for convenience.
>can't be edited after the fact
this boxset is missing episodes >it can't be removed from streaming services
do you only watch ATHF? if not then what's it to you if the show is removed from MAX >as long as you're not an absolute moron you shouldn't have to worry about disc rot
it's inevitable that those dics will go to shit barring any accidents. that's exactly why convenience is king. >Physical media reigns supreme
for printed media maybe, the experience differs when holding a hardcover or an ipad, with tv shows it's always staring at a screen so we might as well skip the disc change.
I think the over obsession with collecting in our society is unhealthy and gay, but I'd much rather rely on my own files and physical discs than let some gays at modern corporations decide what content from a 20 - 40 year show I'm allowed to see.
>this boxset is missing episodes
It is, but season 6 has that episode and it's not expensive at all. Even if a new release has an edit, you can go back to an old one. Also there are loads of streaming-only media now that have no physical release, and a dead torrent means it's gone forever if you don't act right away. Also no, if you take care of your discs you won't have an issue with disc rot and or even scratches. I have DVDs from the early 00s that still play just fine even after heavy use because I don't leave them out of their case. I take care of them. And a physical copy of ATHF season 6 will never have Shake Like Me randomly pulled after you paid for it, you won't have scenes removed from your copy of Toy Story 2 that sits on your shelf, if you have Batgirl 37, as garbage as it is, that transphobic line can't be swapped out for a new more PC one. Own your fricking shit instead of letting a corporation tell you want you can and can not have access to.
Shake Like Me seems to be banned because it implies that blackness can be transferred as a superpower, and it heavily parodies many of the political tropes associated with black political activites.

Shake like me is just a parody of black culture that makes no attempt to comment on it beyond making surface level stereotype jokes. Buddy nugget straight up has a dude in black face to the point the characters themselves are mad about it. It didn’t get the ban hammer simply because it’s a bit part at the end of the episode and we all already know the people who push these bans don’t actually watch the material they get offended by

You should rewatch it, it focuses on black memes but it throws in a variety to reinforce how fricking stupid they are
god damn it everyone should test their greens&fruits to not be screwed by stores

>False advertisement is okay because I don't like this ep
Cringe
It's not only complete but also is the only fricking way to get the Doomstar Requiem special (which was never released to home video and was lost media for years). So the Metalocalypse set is a new level of frickery in that you have to buy it to fricking get the full series, whereas the Venture Brothers set is complete and the ATHF set is missing content but has stuff (like Metalocalypse) which has never been released on DVD.
>"Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The Baffler Meal Complete Collection" was the first time that seasons 9-11 have been released on DVD. The episode "Shake Like Me" is not included on the DVD due to its use of blackface, similar to its removal from rerun rotations and HBO Max
Have they ever even used Bumble Bee Man again since that episode? It was one line and he isn't even really a relivent character. They still have Carl, Dr Hibbert, Comic Book Guy's wife and Dredrik Tatum reguallarly appear to justify getting them new VAs

Bumblebee Man shows up as a late night TV show host now from time to time, just not as often but he is still around at least unlike Apu
Lmao, what is this shit, they introduced this in the newest season, do they plan on making this a recurring character?

I remember that Youtube video about the Simpsons DVD where the guy says "The Simpsons are not dead, they're way past their prime but still a solid show"
You know what else is solid most of the time? TURDS! that doesn't make them quality entertainment
>Been a fan of ATFH since I was 10 and saw it when it first aired on TV >Get into piriting about 6 years laters >To this day, every ATHF torrent link is always 360/480p, the censorded TV version, no DVD rips of a popular show that got 2 movies and 11 seasons, even in 2000 and 23 years after our lord was born

I like that "Aww y'all" Shake does as he passes out.
I miss when edgy/offensive humor was okay and people basked in it, it was probably the closest all races united in harmony, through comedy. How come the Papa John's Papadia isn't under scrutiny for being offensive to mexicans, you'd think those wacky californians would boycott something so benign?
Zaslav needs to fire the dickheads who've been making all the DVD box sets recently.
I agree.
Disappointing... I have the episode thru... apple I want to say, but I was interested in a complete collection.
If it's not actually complete though why bother?

what's the point when the physical media is censored from the get go
what else I'm supposed to fill my shelves? books?
Does this collection have buddy nugget?
Yes. Shake Like Me is the only one missing by choice, though I've seen people claim their sets are missing episodes that SHOULD be there.
Oh and Boston is missing but that's not really a surprise.
Odd. Since buddy nugget literally has black face.
Still on Max. They only seem to care about Shake Like Me.
All these decisions seem to be made without any sort of consistency.

Any confirmation that it will have the blu-ray exclusive bonus features?
I'll wait and make sure they don't pull episodes from it for being too problematic. I hope it's a good release though. That would be awesome.

>whereas the Venture Brothers set is complete
It's not only censored but is DVD only for the seasons that actually had a BD release separately
Speaking of blu rays, how is it possible for seemingly every single season 5 blu ray on Amazon and ebay to be sold out?
Blu-Rays are expensive to print and Zaslav is a cheap bastard.
Are there olives in the box set?
Does it have special features? Found one dvd release from 2006 I think at a flea market that had a few
Easy workaround is to order a used copy of Volume 6 and replace the disc from there
You know why

Yes, Bumblebee Man's last speaking role so far was in may 2023

Torrentgalaxy. 1080p 10-bit. Shake Like Me in S6 too.
Buy Volume 6 seperately while you still can.
Unfortunately this is the only way you can get the movie now. The original copies werely cheaply printed and have disc rot.
Just pirate it, gay
