Cause nothing else you've said is worth responding to. It's obvious that no one ATLA nation has only one real world analog and they all have inspirations from multiple elements. The Earth Kingdom resembles Japan more closely than the Fire Nation on a cultural level and industrializing and annexing your neighbours isn't unique to Japan either.

I don't think we ever saw the Earth Kingdom developing a strong Navy like the Fire Nation or Water Tribe

And even if they did, their benders would be fricked in most ship-to-ship battles. So they would need to develop their technology the way the Fire Nation did

They could potentially develop Airships since the Mechanist was one of their people, but still risky since its not like they can carry huge payloads of rocks to drop on people and travel very far without wasting a ton of fuel

So without boats or planes they are kinda stuck on their own continent
Their best bet would be to have Toph go evil, train a bunch of other Earthbenders with the Badger Moles and get an army of Earthbenders to pull a Team Magma and raise the ocean floor to create a new continent

By that logic, the Earth Kingdom would be facing napalm bombing run without the forests to hide in.
The Fire Nation being an island is already an insta cuck to the earth kingdom because they can hit them without being hit back, which is exactly how Japan cucked China for millenias and from the show, your average Earth Kingdom soldier is weaker than your average Fire Nation soldiers AND the Fire Nation has more soldiers.

I just can't see it happening. There's no way they could take out the Fire Nation or Water Tribe, because the Earth Kingdom has no naval force. Sure, they might ne able to take out the Western Air Temple, since it is in the ground. But the Southern Temple? Frick no. Only reason Sozin could take them out was mostly likely due to dragons. The Air Nomads could easily defend themselves or evacuate on sky bisons.

I think they would take the whole "element of freedom" and zen nature-loving thing a bit too far.
Stuff like not respecting ownership. So they'd just live and exist wherever, even if that means breaking into houses and shops that aren't theirs. Also stealing food, releasing pets and livestock, and generally just being soft anarchists.

That kind of antagonist would be pretty interesting because without a central hierarchy, you'd need to reform them on an individual level to make the problem go away. Or introduce a central hierarchy to follow.
I imagine the next avatar (in my happy-place headcanon where Korra didn't frick everything up by getting all previous avatars erased) calls upon the spirit of Avatar Aang the same way Aang did for Kyoshi at his trial. Aang could explain the important things these Air-Ruffians are missing about being a proper Air Nomad, and how they were before the genocide.

An interesting point of view where that stupid evil avatar came into play. Have reborn person be the next protagonist and it’s “Korra” guiding them but it’s really Unalaq pretending to be Korra using Spirit bending So the new protag isn’t the real avatar but has no idea of this and is manipulated into learning all four elements creating a second Avatar. Why trickery well if Unalaq said you’re destined to be evil would you listen to anything else he would say but now, it’s possible for a new avatar a better one. End the first season there with the realization new Avatar is the dark Avatar. Second season is about the actual Avatar and there point of view. Make them completely insecure and hoping they don’t have to be the avatar since there already is one. They see Korra they ignore Korra and try to block her out thinking they’re crazy. Eventually listens to Korra realizes there’s a fake Avatar an Antitar. So they reluctantly train to deal with them. Season ends with them feeling ready to deal with the new Evil after mastering the elements. Third season go back and forth between the two protags with each episode, new actual avatar can't find any faults with the Anti they seem to he doing actual good, Korea rejects the notion and keeps telling them not to fall for the tricks. Anti episodes are about them trying to surpress Unalaq‘s presence, tryinfn to ignore him as he no longer being coy or nice. Season ends with Anti on a rampage in the woods but they're fighting virtual nothing people think the Avatar snapped the real Avatar sees what’s happening and tries to help the two stare at each other confused and Korra Spirit and Unalaq Spirt glare at each other. 4th season it's the two Avatars butting heads buds into a romance the two end uonhbinf a passage of time and have a baby the Baby opens it's eyes and there's both A glimmer of Vaatu and Ravaa in each eye implying the spirits are one again and true balance he been restored.

    >Earth Kingdom uses its strength established in Ba Sing Se and how important it was in remaining impenetrable for so long
    >Disenfranchised, weary, scared, and beaten victims of the Fire Nation treat it as an influential place with almost religious zealotry

    >The Earth Kingdom is now the antagonist instead of the Fire Nation
assuming that you don't want to simply rehash the same plot points?

well ba sing se is already kind of evil with how dai li run things, but this time the earth king would be in on it:
    >the earth king is a hedonistic degenerate that cares only about his harem of girls kidnapped from all over the world and his gladiatorial arena where men and beats kill each other
    >he also uses human sacrifices to keep himself young
    >earth kingdom armies are massive, relaying on quantity rather than quality of troops from mass mobilizations that inevitably lead to starvation in whole regions when all the fighting age men are drafted and provisions confiscated
    >while lands around ba sing se are fairly peaceful under the iron fist of the secret police and the royal guard, the earth king doesn't care about the state of his realm as long as his greed and gluttony are satisfied - so the outer reaches of the earth kingdoms fell pray to strife between local nobles
    >of course if any one rises too high, and either doesn't bend the knee or starts to defy the royal administration, he and his whole house and killed off
    >the Fire Nation in this version is a land ravaged by constant war between great clans that rise and fall, as various warlords strive for glory and power
    >the Fire Lord is more of a religious figure, than an administrative title, still hereditary a with a power base of its own - but playing the role of a pope rather than emperor
    >needles to say that it is perceived as the homeland of savages and barbarians offering nothing much of mercantile value, except for its people who readily hire themselves out as mercenaries or strike out on their own as adventurers or pirates
    >which is how Zuko finds himself on a ship sailing around, although this time he is hunting for the biggest monsters he can find instead of the avatar, the rest of his backstory can be left practically the same

      >except this time Ozai isn't 143% evil so despite the fact that he burned Zuko's face for making him look bad in front of his drinking mates, he had done so because the alternative to defacement and banishment would have to be death, that some of the warlords actually called for
      >also since their parents did not hate each other so much, neither do the fire siblings, so Azula joins him on his journey
      >plus this time we are going to be running with fem!Aang (pic related) so we still need the handsome and brooding violent young man, that the female audience can dream of fixing
      >why fem!Aang? because as we have established the earth king likes exotic girls and there is nothing more exotic than the last air bender
      >since this time around, Zuko is accompanied by Azula instead of neeting with his hippie uncle living in the trailer park, already by the time when the show starts it becomes apparent that he is definitely the stronger between the >two of them, setting Azula up to learn that the brain is her strongest muscle
      >in this version the northern water tribe is the one pounded into the dark age, since it is closer to Ba Sing Se
      >the souther tribals meanwhile scramble around trying to catch exotic beasts and slaves to be shipped to Ba Sing Se as tribute, since the villages that fail to deliver become prey themselves
      >they are competing in this against the princess of Kyoshi and her fleet
      >and of course after Zuko and Azula stumble onto fem!Aang and her massive flying bison news about them spreads like wildfire the moment they enter a port to resupply starting the hunt
      >when the news reaches the earth king, he sends Long Feng, alongside Toph, his favourite gladiator (who is pretanding to be a boy), to bring him fem!Aang and the bison - later they are joined by Suki, after her own plan fails

        Already ruined from the start.
The dynamic between them works best when Azula is objectively OP but unstable.

have you even watched the show, or are you a r*ddit tourist that came here after celebrating that time when Katar kicked Paku's ass, which totally happened

Zuko never gets as good at bending as Azula. That was obviously clear even at the end.
He heads in at his absolute best form against her when she is at her worst ever, and barely keeps up.
The entire point is that Azula is stronger, perhaps the strongest Fire Bender outside Roku we ever see, but her insanity made her weak in the end because it saps her spirit and stamina.

If you think that Zuko is ever meant to be as strong as Azula 1v1, you're just wanking him off and missing the point.
He is the weak brother that has the support of others to prop him up, while she is the strong sister left alone who collapses from lack of support.

              >Zuko never gets as good at bending as Azula.
He does tho, he match her once or twice in a straight fight and proceed to beat her in the Final Agni Kai.
              >when she is at her worst ever,
Azula was literally at her strongest ever.
              > barely keeps up.
Zuko didn't even breath slightly hard during that whole fight.
              >The entire point is that Azula is stronger, perhaps the strongest Fire Bender outside Roku we ever see
The fact you think Azula is stronger than fricking Ozai alone show you're delusional and not worth talking to.
              >If you think that Zuko is ever meant to be as strong as Azula 1v1
You mean the thing that was objectively shown in the show?
              >He is so moronic he think the moral of ATLA was 'Ozai is right, Zuko is weak'

He does better than immediately losing to her once or twice, but never matches her.
The lead up to the final Agni Kai has her literally hallucinating and falling apart at the seams.
She is never positioned as being anywhere near top form. Just the opposite. That is what gives Katara and Zuko a chance in the first place. Azula was at her most 'dangerous' because she was unstable and unpredictable and had the Comet's boost, not because she was at her most powerful, relatively speaking.

Azula is shown to have great amounts of stamina when calm throughout the series. Even without her bending, she is shown to be able to hold off Aang and Toph for like 15 minutes. Her exhaustion during the Agni Kai was mental exhaustion. Her weakness was mental weakness.
The series is very clear about the connection between mental state and bending strength. And being deranged and hallucinatory is not conducive to bending strength. That is the point.

The moral isn't, "Ozai is right, Zuko is weak".
The moral is that, "you can uplift and complete yourself with the help of others". Ozai never respected the abilities or support of other people. And in Azula that lack of support led to madness. Zuko got support and it helped him.

you mean Zuko who is basically alone in his pursuit up to the end of the last season is meant to be the one "with friends"

while Azula, accompanied by Mai and Ty Lee and with access to full FN military arsenal and Ozai's backing is mean to be the one "alone" ?

                homie u serious?

                Yeah.
Zuko finds actual friends. He literally goes on an 'adventure' with most of them, each.
He makes true bonds with others, and it works him through his darkest hours. Iroh, Aang, Katara, Sokka, etc.

                Azula had two pseudo-hostages.
Azula never truly saw Mai nor Ty Lee as real friends. They were tools for her to wield as the (future) Fire Lord. Whatever care she had for them in her heart it was outweighed by her selfish treatment of them.
And she learned the hard way the cost of that when they abandon her for her mistreatment of them. Two she never really opened her heart for and never cared for the hearts of, herself.
Afterwards, and after Ozai leaves her behind to house-sit as he chases personal glory, she collapses when she finds herself totally isolated. Never having made any real bonds or connections to anyone else.

This is a kids show, dude.
It is very obvious. Azula literally banishes most of the people around her in the palace. At the same time as that Zuko is shown at his closest to Aang and the rest. Mai and Ty Lee even disable her in their fleeing of her side.
How much more clear can the writers have been about, "Azula is isolated and that is a bad thing that is making her a weaker person".

the one time Zuko decides to take a friend along she almost gets him killed
also in your example the obvious interpretation is: by this point Zuko was already stronger, but Azula could have won with support, that she was too proud to ask for

                >The lead up to the final Agni Kai has her literally hallucinating and falling apart at the seams.
Doesn't matter to her bending, her going apeshit made her fire stronger if anything else.
                >She is never positioned as being anywhere near top form.
Yeah, instead she's clearly shown and said to be stronger than she ever could be otherwise. Both thanks to more rage than ever AND the comet.
                >She was at her most dangerous AND powerful but that doesn't count because I said so
                Cope.
                >And being deranged and hallucinatory is not conducive to bending strength

                >The moral is that, "you can uplift and complete yourself with the help of others".

What about the Air Temple Battle?
The one where they throw 3 fireballs at each other, then blow up the balloon so the fight ends immediately?
Where she saves herself with a hair pin? Are you really going to try and pull that in a "Zuko is actually stronger", competition?
                What about the Boiling Rock?
When she was fighting Sokka and Zuko in a 2v1 and winning?
Which Katara moment are you referring to?
I'm going to need something more specific than that, I'm afraid.

Consistently, Azula is shown to be stronger than Zuko, that is the point.

Her going apeshit made her weaker than ever before.
The entire point of Azula was her cold hearted malice and strength from it. It is how she mastered Lightning as a child. Because she was able to shut down her emotions and anger when it came time to fight.
Her being an unhinged screaming lunatic is the exact opposite of what made Azula so strong.
This is a basic aspect of her character. That a raging and insane Azula, is a weak Azula compared to her being calm and collected.

Fire Bending being just applied anger is explicitly shown to be not the case. Zuko learns first hand that anger isn't the real source of Fire Bending. And the existence of Lightning as an ability that comes from Fire Bending with a perfectly clear mind and spirit demonstrates that even further.
The show goes as out of its way as it can to tell you that purely rage filled Fire Bending is weak Fire Bending. Hell, if you look at her Lightning in the Final Agni Kai it is deliberately drawn to be more unstable than normal. Even that was falling apart on her.

Uplifted from total collapse, more like. Zuko was raised up to his best, while Azula fell to her worst instead.

She most likely is. Zuko too.
We never see Ozai really do anything prior to the Comet, and at that point basically all fire benders look powerful.
Iroh is probably stronger than Ozai as well and says as much. But he isn't anywhere far above Azula or Zuko.
Prior to the finale, the most impressive thing Ozai did was torch a 13 year old boy's face and fail at zapping Zuko. I wouldn't call him a chump, but he is only relatively strong.

I don't need to insist on anything. I just need to state the basic points and statements of the show.

Ozai is never called the strongest ever. He isn't even treated as being stronger than previous Fire Lords. Azulon was probably better than him by all we're told.
Hell, we have Iroh say that he could take Ozai down but won't because it would leave the wrong message.

On the day of the Comet, yeah you'd need true mastery to take him down. But that goes for any strong fire bender.
You think Aang could have beaten either Azula or Zuko that day without full mastery? They themselves were beyond any power level seen before. Or Jeong Jeong and Iroh? Just the same.

and only after that does he get his fire bending training montage on Ember Island

it's clear that Azula was always meant to be weaker than Zuko at the end, same with Luke and Vader in SW, to show that being a nazi wizard might be a path to a quick power up, but that's all - in both cases the point is to beat the might makes right villain an the reject his/hers ideology from the position of strength

You realize that ATLA would NEVER validate Ozai's world view to that extent by making Zuko a weakling who just use his friends as crutch, right? The whole point was that Zuko having friends and morals made a better and stronger person by himself, not that it allowed him to gang up on people and thus declare 'victory'.

Avatar, like the shonen anime it borrowed heavily from, has no issue letting the 'bad guys' be stronger than the good guys. Sokka is objectively very weak in the world of Avatar, but that wasn't a problem because he was able to work with others and contribute more than the sum of his strengths.
The lesson isn't, "the bad guys will always be weaker than you", the lesson is, "with the help of others you can become stronger together". And on the other hand, "those that separate themselves from others and reject them, will become weaker".

Zuko gains support and it sharpens him up more than he ever had been.
But at the same time, Azula's lack of support drives her down much further.
That is the point of spending significant amounts of time showing her mentally collapsing. That she is losing her strength and abilities and being brought down for it.

Zuko doesn't have to be stronger than peak Azula to beat her, when she's already lost before the fight ever began because of how deranged and mentally unstable she became.
He found friends and allies that supported him through his worst moments. She drove hers away. That made her frail and beatable, regardless of how strong she was once.
That is the entire lesson of the end.

Yeah, until the final confrontation where the bad guy get his shit rocked, like Goku vs Cell, Ozai vs Aang and Zuko vs Azula.
                >Stronger together
                >In a 1 on 1 duel
Unless Katara was literally giving Zuko energy Genkidama style, you're being moronic and reaching really hard.
                >That she is losing her strength and abilities and being brought down for it.
That wasn't the point in the slightest, strength had nothing to do with that. The point was to show that even the Fire Nation is suffering from the war.
                >Zuko doesn't have to be stronger than peak Azula to beat her,
But he was, which is what matter because the discussion is about what actually happened.

Goku vs Cell? Where he literally lost the fight and Gohan won with the actual spirit of his father giving him assistance? That '1v1'?

Stronger together is a euphemism. Spiritually, Zuko was healed by the closeness he had with Aang and Katara and Sokka and Iroh. They supported him and healed his heart.
Contrarily, Azula drove away the closest thing she had to friends. And then was abandoned by her father. She never got that same help and only became worse in isolation.

Zuko never became stronger than the peak of Azula's abilities.
That is clear throughout the ending. With her swaying on her feet and stumbling around and barely having control over her bending. While Zuko looks the sharpest he ever did.

The ability to use Lightning is explicitly shown to require being able to separate yourself from emotions like anger or rage.
You cannot both have rage powered fire bending and also have the ability to fire bend without emotion or feelings compromising your actions.
Dragon Firebending wasn't a necessity to learn to bend without rage. It was a way for Zuko and Aang to learn it themselves, but Jeong Jeong tried to teach Aang that way before the mini-arc with Zuko. The show had already been long building up to that point.
The series had long set up that it wasn't a necessity. And someone like Azula who is shown to be extremely emotionally closed down is a part of that. Her strength, the ability to have 'cold fire', was because of how controlled and calm she was at all times. It was what gave her power. Her being shown in an extremely deranged light is demonstrating that she lost that power.

Which is why Azula only has the rage bending.
                >Dragon Firebending wasn't a necessity to learn to bend without rage
It was, the whole point is that non-rage / true firebending IS dragon firebending.
                >but Jeong Jeong tried to teach Aang that way before the mini-arc with Zuko
He didn't, Jeong Jeong's whole point was that firebending was awful, inherently destructive and he hated it and was teaching Aang to essentially contain it and restrict it, which was a complet failure.
                >demonstrating that she lost that power.
By having her use the exact power you just said she 'lost' perfectly? Now I know you didn't watch ATLA.

Don't bother, dude doesn't even realize he argued himself into a corner because now either Azula was calm enough to use 'cold fire' and thus her fanfic 'evil calm bending' wasn't weakened at all or she was using anger fire bending and thus power boosted by losing her shit.

                Did you ever watch Avatar?
It requires peace of mind and a separation of one's self from their emotions and bending.
Azula's lightning in that Agni Kai is clearly demonstrated to be unstable and far more 'ragged' than any of her or Ozai's previous usage. It is animated to appear choppy and erratic and unable to hold its form the same as it once did. It is meant to appear to be collapsing on her as her mind does the same.
Zuko can't get rid of that emotion because he cannot let go of his internal war, you have the reasoning entirely backwards. Zuko specifically couldn't lightning bend because of that war. But that was secondary to the need to remove emotion from the act of fire bending.

Dragon Firebending was a revelation for Zuko and Aang, not for everyone alive.
Zuko was the failure of the royal family and had been trained poorly and couldn't undo it himself. And Aang was a novice.
Contrast that to Azula, who is called a prodigy and likely trained herself for the most part, given that her 'tutors' were nonbenders.

Jeong Jeong's hatred of his own bending doesn't mean that he was shown to also be cursed to power it with anger.
He didn't see the constructive potential of fire bending, but that doesn't change that he was also shown to be a peaceful man who'd let go of his rage and anger at the world and maintained his great power with the element. Hell, his place within the White Lotus demonstrates that, you'd think they'd allow someone in if they were a 'rage monster'?

I don't know why you are so reticent to accept that Azula was forever meant to be stronger than Zuko in terms of pure power and ability.
Zuko was never meant to be the strongest fire bender. That was never his arc. His storyline was self-actualization and learning to accept his strengths and flaws and desires. He was the failson of the family that learned to become hardy and emotionally tough and open through struggles.
Azula's was to be the prodigal golden child who was unknowingly corrupted into a fragile, isolated china doll that shattered the moment her world started slipping. She contorted herself to be daddy's perfect girl, and it left her a shambling mess of a woman that was too brittle to handle any real loss.

Zuko's parity, and lack thereof, of power with her was secondary. It didn't matter if he couldn't burn as hot or bend lighting or do all the tricks we see Azula pull, like making explosive fireballs or cutting torches.
He didn't need her talent and power, he gained strength from others, mental and spiritual strength. She lost all of her mental fortitude and spiritual strength as consequence of her personality and upbringing.
That was the divergence between them. That was the lesson of their arcs progressing alongside each other.

The only people, 'laughing', are people that didn't understand the basic presentation of the show and all got shot down for it.
Azula isn't even my favorite character from the show, I prefer Toph and Bumi. But the basic lack of comprehension on the fairly obvious character writing of the show is ridiculous.

I can only assume it either comes from having not watched the show for too long, or having deliberately overlooked most of its actual writing in service of loving a character.
In this case Zuko, and dreaming of him becoming the strongest because he 'earned it'. Or something along those lines.
The reference to him fricking Azula seems to indicate that latter probably is true.

Dude, your whole point is basically 'if her special move didn't cost half her HP, she'd have won the fight so it doesn't count as Azula at her strongest despite Azula NEVER performing that without it consuming HP', it make no damn sense and you're arguing for a version of Azula who somehow just has all the advantages of her martial art and worldview without any of the drawback, which only exist in your head and not the show.

How do Azula and Zuko turn out?

        Anonymous

with Ozai being stern rather than outright evil, he would have paid more attention to his children, meaning Zuko couldn't just neet his way through life in the palace
different parenting style would have also left Azula less insecure about her own position and more focused on making sure that her brother lives up to the expectations
plus as opposed to Iroh, Azula would not let Zuko waste his time during his exile, so his power level would have improved noticeably as the time went on

all of that would have ultimately led to increased tension between the siblings as Azula would have to find a way to cope with the fact that Zuko becomes better than her at fire bending

except this time Zuko and Azula have much more healthy relationship, so instead of trying to kill each other they would work through it with a bit of shouting a lot of talking and realizing that they need each other
Zuko has the power and the will, but he needs Azula's autistic insight to help him plot the course that would allow him to avoid needles trouble
on the other hand Azula's gift is both her power and a curse, making her struggle with normal human interactions

so from time to time Zuko would do something stupid out of a feeling of moral obligation and Azula would have to figure out how to deal with the fallout
or Azula's clever plan would crumble around her due to some variables changing or her pride blinding her to some potential outside interference and Zuko would have to swoop in and save her

either way they would best work together and their main goal throughout the story would be...

...escorting the avatar to the four avatar temples that themselves move around:
        >one is a flying city that hovers somewhere above a mountain range
        >the other is located on the back of a massive sea turtle
        >third is buried somewhere under the sands of a desert
        >and the last one is located in inside the spirit world but shows up from time to time inside the mouth of active volcano

            >in fact this is the reason Zuko and Azula with their metal warship are in the area, Sokka convinced his father to hire out some Fire Nation hunters to get rid of the great sea wyrm guarding the island which would allow them to strike at it directly
            >after successfully completing the contract, it's found out that fem!Aang and her bison squat on the fire sibling's ship, the water tribals try to capture her, but fail, then follow them to Kyoshi island

                >water tribes use shamanistic rituals to bind spirits to their ships to make them go faster
                >and the land of human rights violations simply grows very big trees to build very big ships, with very big masts and very big oars that are operated by slaves and captured beats

                >first target of our merry band is the massive sea turtle, since Zuko and Azula have learned quite a bit about it while searching for monsters for Zuko to hunt, it's mostly legends and hearsay but it's a start
                >also they hope that they will be able to find some allies there, as according to fem!Aang that temple was supposed to be quite big

                >plus this time we are going to be running with fem!Aang (pic related) so we still need the handsome and brooding violent young man, that the female audience can dream of fixing
                >why fem!Aang? because as we have established the earth king likes exotic girls and there is nothing more exotic than the last air bender
                >since this time around, Zuko is accompanied by Azula instead of neeting with his hippie uncle living in the trailer park, already by the time when the show starts it becomes apparent that he is definitely the stronger between the >two of them, setting Azula up to learn that the brain is her strongest muscle
                >in this version the northern water tribe is the one pounded into the dark age, since it is closer to Ba Sing Se
                >the souther tribals meanwhile scramble around trying to catch exotic beasts and slaves to be shipped to Ba Sing Se as tribute, since the villages that fail to deliver become prey themselves
                >they are competing in this against the princess of Kyoshi and her fleet
                >and of course after Zuko and Azula stumble onto fem!Aang and her massive flying bison news about them spreads like wildfire the moment they enter a port to resupply starting the hunt
                >when the news reaches the earth king, he sends Long Feng, alongside Toph, his favourite gladiator (who is pretanding to be a boy), to bring him fem!Aang and the bison - later they are joined by Suki, after her own plan fails

                Is Zuko x fem!aang endgame?

                >Is Zuko x fem!aang endgame?
actually I was planning for fem!Aang x Sokka, at one point he catches her in a trap, they travel together for a while and talk - then comes a point when he is supposed to exchange her for his sister, but he just can't

                >but fem!Aang feels like she is not able to meander around her responsibilities any more, so she announces herself as the avatar, to Zuko and Azula for now, and demands that they find her a water bender trainer
                >the siblings don't believe her at all, Zuko just walks out of the room and goes back to his duties, while Azula laughs out loud, but the little air bender persists and so they decide to hire a water bender on their next stop, preferably a useful one, like a healer, to make fem!Aang shut up

                >Zuko, Azula and the rest of the crew rush back to their stations
                >when the fire siblings get to the bridge is quickly becomes obvious that they will not be able to slow down in time to avoid crashing, into the island sized turtle
                >suddenly the beast lifts its head up again, and they can all see a massive eye gazing upon them, then with a flick of its gigantic flipper the turtle pushes up a wave that lifts the ship and carries it onto its tree covered back

                >the gaang had arrived at the first temple, mostly unharmed

                >but so did Sokka

hopefully the anons, not you scrapper, have enjoyed this little story

It was cool but I can't take Sokka seriously as a threat or pursuer.

yeah, I kind of went with him being a schemer more than a physical threat

also that's why fem!Aang is supposed to have hots for him, since there is no why he could catch her otherwise

                Fair enough.
Honestly, I'd have went for fem!Sokka instead of fem!Aang personally.

                >fem!Sokka would be too strong
If you had both fem!Sokka and fem!Aang, you could easily turn it into a porn fic where Zuko has a perfect cast of Waifus to conquer.
                >also here is the whole thing in one file
                That's convenient, thanks anon!

It's especially a shame that he disappeared because almost all Maiko fics are boring and vanilla to a crazy extent.

yeah I've been poking around an idea for a story that would be an exercise in showing how much Katar's character was lacking and also to showcase how imo Korra should have been written - achived by replacing Sokka and giving Katara a tomboy sister

Something I don't like about the 'nation swap AU' things, like the Water Tribe or Earth Kingdom being evil instead of the Fire Nation
is that they never do anything to explain HOW those nations are suddenly threats just because they are evil now.
Because with how stuff is set up in the show, the water tribe or earth kingdom going evil kinda just end with them getting their asses kicked before Aang even shows up

Why was the Fire Nation 'evil' in the first place?

Sozin's propaganda machine was just that effective at convincing the FN inhabitants that it was their birthright to "share their superiority" via conquest.

It doesn't take a lot to spin up the same kind of supremacy culture in any given nation.
But the only ones that can really do it well are the Fire Nation, because of its industrialization, and the Earth Nation, because of its population size.
The Water Tribes couldn't really do it because they seem both fairly small and not particularly technologically advanced. Same with the Air Nomads.

        >It doesn't take a lot to spin up the same kind of supremacy culture in any given nation.
Sure but it's not really my problem here.
        > the Earth Nation, because of its population size.
Nothing say it has a huge population tho, it's more of a Fire Nation thing.
The Earth Kingdom has the biggest landmass but it doesn't seem all that unified or densely population.

Never seen avatard so idk. If it was actually made into a show then it would be the exact same thing as the original except some characters have slightly different powers.
