Guaranteed seethe
Can I shit on the seat?
Nobody is going to watch a 3 hour avatar movie, flop confirmed
The only reason people went to see the first one was for the 3D gimmick, Avatar was the first movie to really bring it back to cinemas and now no one gives a shit about it again
I saw a documentary in Imax 3D years ago and it was gorgeous. A large portion of this movie takes place on or below water. Don’t ever bet against Cameron, this movie will be beautiful and easily make over $2B.
Especially since it has little competition for christmas/early January. Shazam 2? Puss in boots 2? Whitney Houston biopic? All demolished.
Although I'm a bit intrigued by a new Jackie Chan movie apparently coming out this December. Him and John Cena team up to save Iraqi oil rig workers-Snafu.
>John Cena
dropped
Gonna flop so hard
Based, I'll be watching it twice to cover all I missed from the respective pee breaks
I guarantee that Avatar 2 will be twice as good as Avatar 1. I guarantee it.
aw sweet milk thread
GIVE US THE WRETHED NAME
that's not very encouraging
Reddit’s gonna seethe when this becomes the biggest grossing film of all time
Send it to streaming. Problem solved.
Bring back intermissions,
Absolute Chad
How the hell is he going to stretch Pocahontas 2 out to 3 hours in length?
reminds me of some meme pic but I can't put my finger on it
Scaruffi?
this means I can realistically watch it 4 times a day assuming back-to-back viewings
If I take a week off work this means I could watch it 28 times over the course of a week. It'll cost a lot to see it over and over again at the largest IMAX screen in my country, but it'll be worth it.
it will do well like the batman but no one will really care about it afterwards. most people are tired of 3 hour pseud epics that could be cut in half.
Why not use an intermission? It's still present in home media releases, it's classy and it also gives the cinema an opportunity to sell more overpriced snacks.
>wanting to break the immersion
This is what I don't get. Take 10 minutes in between for anything longer than two hours. Sell more food and drinks, people piss and stretch their legs. People go check their phone then instead of being a dick during it
Modern audiences would just leave
who cares? the theatres still get their money
There was thing they used to solve this problem back in the day....what was it called...hmm.
>Taxpayers have so far paid more than $140 million worth of subsidies to help produce the upcoming sequels to the Avatar movie.
not nearly enough, the entire nation of New Zealand should be repurposed and put on a war footing with their only economic output being support and assistance in producing more Cameronkino
correct.
what is the benefit to new zealand?
that's like asking what the benefit to the US was by funding the space program
High-tech jobs and technological development?
What if it never ends.
I hope it is 4 hours with an intermission unironically. Bring back the old days of Ben-Hur.
this
phone addicted zoomer btfo'd
Yeah, look at all the seething in this thread over long movies. Grow an attention span is what I say.
I hope they confiscate phones. Only way I would go back to a theater. Frick zoomers.
we really do need to bring back the intermission for anything over 90 minutes.
Who the frick can't hold a piss for 3 hours unless they really needed to go right as the movie started? Old people?
Lots of theaters serve alcohol now. Also, drinking anything can cause you to pee in 3 hours.
So just reintroduce intermission?
>Movie is so shit director is actively telling you to take piss breaks
Avatargay is going to rope himself
so we know they've filmed up to 3, but have 4-5 planned.
they've spent 250 million on both 2 and 3, over 500million spent so far. how will this turn a profit?
Maybe they'll experiment with VR
If you want to direct a movie longer than 2 hours and 15 minutes, it should be mandatory to be directly released to streaming services.
They assume I will see it. They are wrong.
Also, gotta say, the captcha will probably make me stop posting here, soon.
???
GET 'EM JIM
I know a lot of people will, but there's no way I'm putting on covid monkeypox glasses on, in a room full of maskless mongoloids, I'm going to wait for the upload and watch it on a quest 2 in skybox
Keep it litty and piss on the floor.
