Why not give some more time to the White Lotus so that they do more than forge passports? Hell, Toph never even made up with her parents in the show, they had to relegate that to the comics.

I almost wonder, did the studio/netflix or director/producer think to make azula more intimidating, she needed to be bigger?
Like think about it, normally you see some basic average skinny girl, and you think oh just some girl.
You see some fat girl, and you're like oh crud, if she falls on me, i might get crushed and hurt very badly.
