The funniest thing is that they announced it last minute on Twitter as a surprise, so all the fans thought it'd be a release of the new season and they got incredibly upset at it.
This one episode was so on-point that I think about it more than the actual show. I wasn't an auto-hater; I enjoyed the first two seasons all the way through, but it's so tired and empty from the get go. I FILLED ET WIT DIESEL is funnier than anything in the actual show.
It really did grind down to the core of Rick and Morty is fundamentally a work made by a sadistic degenerate, but made such a self-aware parody of it that it completely ascended the original series.
Astounding that Bushworld Adventures was just a shitpost, and not only was it genuinely funnier than the actual show it made all the fans legitimately angry
The studios buck breaking Cusack by getting him to move away from this shitpost-y stuff and make a very normie adult cartoon like Koala Man was the cruellest possible fate.
He's still doing Smiling Friends which is filled with absurd shit. Koala Man's not great but I think you still get a sense of his weird humor from time to time
Koala Man isn't as bad as the generic Family Guy / Big Mouth clones that streaming platforms put out. The main characters are all quite normie but the situations they get into are no more or less weird than Ute Uncle Barry, and the episode antagonists are basically Australian shitposts. The episode with the traides is great.

Smiling Friends absolutely carries the same sense of humor as Bushland Adventure if not being even more unhinged.
