i wish Zuko at least tried to somehow comfort her after that, maybe not immediately, but at some point
Man, we really needed a forth season
i wish Zuko at least tried to somehow comfort her after that, maybe not immediately, but at some point
Man, we really needed a forth season
Giving her unprotected sex wasn’t comfort?
>The most well-drawn emotion in show is Azula crying.
They hated her didn't they, just like everyone in the show.
What a moronic conclusion
The only correct one.
Please shut the frick up about this redemption bullshit
>Zuko and Iroh are bad too they got redemption
They had a long way and hard work to get to that point and the chance wasn’t given to them they asked for it.
Azula never wanted the chance and never cared, hiding behind ozai isn’t going to change that so don’t expect the heroes to save her like she’s a moronic child who doesn’t know better and just let her get a fast pass
> shut the frick up about this redemption bullshit
I never said redemption. Only TAV.
>Please shut the frick up about this redemption bullshit
It's going to happen whether we like it or not, it just won't look like Sad Let-down's redemption or Sad Warlord's either.

The handling of Azula was really a prelude to the writing quality of Korra.
Souds like bait, but i'll bite
How so?
Korra was better written than the original Avatar, which is very childish and not properly planned.
>not even the writers understood Zuko and Azula relationship
Majestic writing.
>Korra was better written than the original Avatar, which is very childish and not properly planned.
Fartbending was very mature, I agree.
>Korra was better written than the original Avatar
>not even the writers understood Zuko and Azula relationship
That's some juicy bait you got there
>I don't think any of the writers at any point decided that he stopped loving her
Well, I don't care what writers think, there is no signs of him loving her in the show or comics.
here
>there is no signs of him loving her in the show or comics.
Weak bait.
Him just telling it, without any actions doesn't count, I thought that was obvious.
>without any actions
Again, weak.
I'am not disagreeing with you, but some examples would have been nice
>Again, weak.
Stop, I am not even the guy who baited you with Kora being better.
I just can't recollect a single moment that would display that his feelings for her are any different from how Zuko would treat any other person who isn't his family.
I'm sorry, but you'd have to have been consciously filtering out the examples not to notice them, particularly in the comics where there's literally an entire book that only exists because part of Zuko still loves Azula.
>you'd have to have been consciously filtering out the examples
Then it would be easy to prove me wrong. No seriously just remove Azula from imperial family and make her, I don't know, elite mercenary hired by Ozai. How exactly their story in the show changes? Except for the part where AZULA helps Zuko.
>particularly in the comics where there's literally an entire book that only exists because part of Zuko still loves Azula.
The search? Just words, and he covered her with the blanket. Besides that just humiliation.
>Then it would be easy to prove me wrong.
It would be very easy to provide examples, yes, but why would anyone spend time and effort on such a thankless task when takes like this
>Besides that just humiliation
reveal again and again that children's media is a grade above your reading level?
>It would be very easy to provide examples
>Doesn't provide an example
>reveal again and again that children's media is a grade above your reading level
Wow insult and a baseless claim, it is 4 in a row now, just don't answer if you have nothing to say.
What besides blanket covering, which I claim he would have done to anyone as miserable as Azula is in this scene, he have done to her, that would be considered an act of kindness or love?
>baseless
Substantiated every time (You) reply, kid.
>very childish
Dark avatar
>and not properly planned.
Throwing rocks in glass house here
>i wish Zuko at least tried to somehow comfort her after that
But he did.
Are you insane? It is nothing but constant mocking in the search.
Unfortunately there's no frictionless path to Azula becoming someone who's willing to accept comfort from her enemies. That includes her experiencing the kind of mistrust from Team Avatar they initially (and justifiably) felt toward Zuko. And because he's a fallible human being, Zuko will (naturally) still have misgivings toward her, even though he (again naturally) wants to follow Sokka's example of doing right by his sister (something the comic does show him trying to do).
*touching his forehead to hers while hugging*
"I love you little sis..."
Azula's raging heart was stunned, stunned at the very fact he had the audacity to say that after everything he'd been through, and yet, the one constant in her life, despite their weakling mother and their raging father, was each other. Azula started to cry.
"Zuzu, why did they have to die?"
She is shattered.
"Father is still alive Azula and mother wouldn't let you down..."
"No, I mean. Why did it have to happen?"
She looked very vulnerable.
"You mean our parents?"
"No. I mean me. All of this happened and I... What about the people I killed?"
Azula cries.
"Zuko, why did I have to happen?"
Zuko just holds her silent, a solid wall of fire next to her sad little blue flame. Azula was broken, true, but she was also in rest for once in her aching life. No longer looking over her shoulder or running violently towards the seat of high command.
"Azula..."
*scene fade to white title screen*
Episode Title:
"Recollection."
I wish she died.
Just a horrible person.
Daily reminder that Zuko and Iroh also have blood on their hands.
>Daily reminder that Zuko and Iroh also have blood on their hands.
They. were. born. good.
It is that simple.
>Daily reminder that Zuko and Iroh also have blood on their hands.
Whose blood? Be specific.
Reminder it took 3 seasons to slighty develop her as a character. Truly majestic writing.
Reminder there were supposed to be four seasons but the writers were forced to compress the story at short notice.
There should have been another season with her relationship with zuko as one of prime focus points
I cringe from his "would have found: Zuko" so hard, I am unable to read further.
Is it what I expect it is?
>Is it what I expect it is
What do you expect?
Cringe about Zuko still loving her.
I don't think any of the writers at any point decided that he stopped loving her
How do you "comfort" a sociopath who uses everyone around them and is having a mental breakdown because their grand plan failed and they've been exposed as a failure? Prison time and frequent visits from her brother is both fair and kind.
>frequent visits from her brother
Not a thing in the show tho
>Prison time and frequent visits from her brother is both fair and kind.
The ones were he humiliates her and then beats up?
>a sociopath
Diagnoses for fictional people are about as reliable as diagnoses for the dead. A more plausible explanation for why she turned out the way she did (because it's actually part of the story) is she was Ozai's "favorite" and he shaped her into a weapon.
Azula deserved it
Incest.
b***h move on Zuko's part tbh. Sibling Love 101 is taking your unstable little sister for a calming ride thru the clouds and damn well letting her Force lightning your buddies when you see that mischievous twinkle in her eye. The flying bison has gotten mad at her before anyway. You know what they say, what's a 38,000 foot drop between you, me and sudden death?
Are you being sarcastic? Because if you are, this is not about the fact he shoves his fist in her face for raising a voice, it is about the fact, that everything in this chapter is set up against her. and the fact that she is scared of his fists after constant beating in asylum.
>It's foreshadowed a little--the "one hair out of place" scene from her introduction
And even that is stretching it, the scene is about her striving for perfection to the point of caring how her hair strands look after a messy fighting sequence.
>Are you being sarcastic?
I was being facetious, Sir Knight.
>I was being facetious
Then stop and go wash your hands.
Never.
He gave her comfort with his royal fiery sword.
Azula's mental breakdown does, to this day, feel like it kind of comes out of nowhere. It's foreshadowed a little--the "one hair out of place" scene from her introduction--but I still feel it wasn't really foreshadowed ENOUGH.
A lot of things in Sozin's Comet weren't really foreshadowed enough, now that I think about it. I don't really like it; I think it's the weakest of the series' three season finales, which is kind of awful because it's the SERIES finale, too.
I saw this comic and it showed Azula being repeatedly comforted by a bunch of guards on a daily basis. So don't worry she was taken care of.
Waiting for the Total Conversion mod of this game to feature Azula and Zuko.
