This show did irreparable damage to the core 4. Only Garfield was better

Cyborg had more character in his handful of filler eps in this show, than in anything else he'd get for the next 20 years

Politely disagree, Geoff Johns had it bad for him for some reason, replaced Martian Manhunter with him in the Justice League.

Geoff didn’t want John Stewart as the GL rep so he made Cyborg take his place and have Hal Jordan as the GL rep.

Why would it have been John anyway? Just the JL cartoon? Guy and Kyle exist.

Because he's black anon, that's also the reason they chose Cyborg, they wanted to diversify the JL founders for the New 52.

He really really likes Hal and shills him anytime he gets

Sometimes I wonder... Would a reboot of this version of the Teen Titans really be such a bad idea?

I mean, it would be the same characters only now we'd see them using their real names instead of being in their superhero costume all the time.

      I'd hope not.

I'd be fine with another Titans cartoon with the NTT core cast, even acknowledging Stream Titans just wrapped. But I do not want any creative decisions to be made as if it was a continuation, reset, or reimagining of the 03 cartoon.

        >But I do not want any creative decisions to be made as if it was a continuation, reset, or reimagining of the 03 cartoon.

Let me guess... For fear that they will make a woke and lousy version of the 2003 version?

holy frick stop using the word woke.
It's more like some of us just don't want to be beholden to the depictions in the 03 show as definitive.

I'd like an AS update. Maybe they're all 19 or something. It just acts like time kept passing. There's a throwaway line about Terra in episode one, Dick is "transitioning " to Nightwing, Vic is joining the JL, etc.

Less "sacred cow", more "bullshit". Have you lived through the last decade of cartoon revivals? They aren't by and large transcendently good. That's even ignoring what's in that catalog that has roots in TT03. Any other creative interpretation, style, or even specific arc adaptations has more room to create than trying to get the specific recreations to be good.

I am one of those who would dare to give a chance to that hypothetical reboot of the 2003 version

The thing would be that it falls into good hands

But it's like flipping a coin... You do not know what the result will be, so it would only remain to pray

              Anonymous

The thing is, the original crew that worked on it isn’t around anymore, so you can’t recreate it any more. Glen Murakami is semi-retired. DJW passed away. And so on. Also, the ending we got is meant to be the actual ending. Trying to do more with it would feel disrespectful of that.

The thing about wanting a reboot is...it's been 20 years.
Think about that. It's as old as the 80's cartoon pitch was when it was made. Imagine if they dusted this thing off to make episodes in 2003. It'd be ridiculous.
at a certain point it's like- do something new.

Okay, but TTG still exists. You could literally advertise it as "Teen Titans Go Serious" and people would watch.

A lot of the "ugly Raven" panels that pet posted were intentional, there's a plot point about how her look changes over time that's addressed as her demonic influence was increased. That's where you get those images of Raven with a big forehead and gaunt cheeks.
Otherwise she was drawn like most comic women- it depended on the artist.

Based but it did a good job at adapting Cyborg. Regular comic Cyborg was to moody for my taste. I prefer it when he's somewhat jokey once he's finally gets pass the "I'm a monster phase".

Cyborg was chosen to be a founding member of the JL because he is (ironically) one of Johns's favourite characters. Both are from Detroit.

It wasn't forced by Warner or whoever. It was Johns' decision according to Gail Simone.

come on it's completely transparent that he just chose him because he was a black guy and had the 80's boomer superfriends excuse since that cartoon had him for a season.

Johns used Cyborg all the time. His Flash, his Teen Titans, he was the biggest superhero in the world in Flashpoint, his JL, etc.

He just never did anything particularly interesting with him.
