Omega is such a shit character it’s unreal
The first season was the best and overall every single shot without omega is substantially higher quality then the ones without her
Most of the season 2 plot was boring and the green croc woman betraying them was so obvious and moronic it makes me mald
Ventress is interesting but because she’s partnered purely to omega and not the clones it’s just boring.
I wish there was more clone plot instead of fricking omega being a Jedi LIKE THE FRICKING TITLE OF THE SHOW SUGGESTS
Pretty much. Omega actively drags the show down. She is a Disney-mandated obligatory child character, morally pure and perfect magic girl, who always gets her way, who always wants to help everyone and never faces any consequences for her actions, who is the smartest one, because all the adults (who are supposed to be a bunch of highly capable spec-ops commandos) are written as stupid. She is the only one who decides the characters' agency by forcing them to do "the right thing™", because otherwise, apparently, the show would not have happened, because Hunter is a pathetic, passive wimp, and he constantly needs Omega to tell him what to do. She can't get hurt, because she is a pre-pubescent child in a Disney show. She can't be beaten and she can't kill anyone for the same reason. She hasn't developed as a character whatsoever in 3 seasons. She is the same as she's been from the start: "BUT HUNTAH WE'VE GOT TO HELP EM" She's not even a real character, but a plot device.
Crosshair is the only one with depth and development, but he has become boring in S3 since he joined the good guys, and he's been pretty much sidelined to be Omega's b***h.
Ventress should have stayed dead. She had a perfect send-off, her character arc was fully complete and came full circle, and her death was meaningful and impactful, an act of heroic, selfless sacrifice, an act of redemption. And now she's just there for fan-service. She has no organic place in the narrative, there is nothing more to her character arc, she just exists aimlessly to bait people into watching it, because the executives wanted to play with the toy, without care in the world for the good storytelling. They should have faithfully animated Dark Disciple instead — which we would have gotten regardless, if Disney hadn't cancelled The Clone Wars.
Overall, The Bad Batch has been a disappointment. Good visuals, cinematography, and music. Some good Crosshair and clone-centric episodes in the first two seasons.
Tales of the Jedi was animated shorts 10-15 minutes long. The arc was originally eight 22-minute episodes, then turned into a 300 page novel. Tales of the Jedi format can't be used to faithfully adapt it. Tales of the Jedi already tried that with Ahsoka novel, which was the last episode. It didn't work so good.
They should have done it earlier, when people were fricking begging for it for years. They didn't include it in their "revived" S7, because in retrospect, Disney allowed TCW S7 to be made only because it was a backdoor pilot for "The Bad Batch". And now it is pointless anyway, since the point of that story in the first place was concluding Ventress' character arc and giving her a proper send-off. With her being resurrected, that story was severely diminished, and might as well never have happened.
>7.09-7.12 Yuuzhan Vong
Shouldn't they show up only 30+ years after the Clone Wars, a few years after the Thrawn trilogy? I mean, it would be great to see them on screen, but only if they get the proper treatment, and not like Thrawn himself, who somehow spent 10 of the most interesting years in recent galactic history in some other galaxy on an abandoned planet where he and Ezra were teleported to in the SW Rebels finale.
It was an encounter with a Vong scout ship that assessed the Republic and what the Jedi were. It was more of a horror alien abduction, X-Files episode. I doubt anyone involved would have survived the encounter.
>who'd to say they won't do that in tales of the jedi or similar? They'll do an hour-long episode of their upcoming show (in TCW and TBB style) dedicated to Asajj and Vos, which will use some scenes from the Dark Disciple reels. It won't be the exact retelling of Dark Disciple, more like a flashback episode.
i'll take it, she is a good character who's severely underrated
i'd also like an entire episode dedicated to her ressurrection and what she does immdiately after it, waking up from the dead in a changed galaxy where the republic, separatists and jedi dont exist could be a good story
it's decent at best. season one sucked, season two sucked a little less, this season feels like they finally stamped out a lot of the biggest issues with the filler episodes and characters being annoying, which is a shame considering it's the last run of the show.
>It's a somehow [character] has returned episode
You do realize that it all started when Lucas told Filoni that he wanted Maul back because he wanted to use him in the sequel trilogy, and Filoni had to SOMEHOW resurrect Maul by writing that Spider-Maul+Savage nonsense, right?
Where is the correlation? There is no logic in your statement. Just because Lucas did it doesn't mean anyone else has the right to do it. Maul should have been an exception to the rule, not become the rule itself. Besides, the context is entirely different: Maul was never "resurrected", he simply survived. He never *died* in the first place. He used the Dark Side, his hatred, his anger, the teachings of Sidious to survive, clinging for his life, losing his mind in the process and becoming a rabid, delusional animal. Whereas Ventress actually died, she was dead for months, and then buried. More so, she had a complete, finished story and arc, which concluded with her sacrifice. Whereas Maul was more of a set-piece than a character. By bringing him back, Lucas was expanding on him and developing him, because there was no development there. Whatever you may think of Lucas' decision, he is the only one who has the right to do it by virtue of being the creator of Star Wars, and the context between Maul and each subsequent "resurrection" is entirely different. Only stupid people go "B-But Maul came back!" Not only it is completely irrelevant, illogical thing to say, but the contexts for each situations are entirely different, making one more appropriate than the other.
>Just because Lucas did it doesn't mean anyone else has the right to do it.
Yes, but he started it, and it led to Filoni and others doing the same. Also, it was under his watch when Echo SOMEHOW survived and became a cyborg, and many other things like that happened under his supervision, when he was still in complete control of what was going on in the SW universe. Then we got Palpatine SOMEHOW returning, now Asajj, then we will get Tech resurrected and brainwashed by the Empire we may have already seen him in episode 8 as that "operative" who was abandoned on that planet after Rex' and Wolfe's teams left.
Again, the contexts for each of those are entirely different, which you keep missing the point of. And Lucas did not even start it. Palpatine came back in the 90's. There were characters who survived getting cut in half and Sith Lords who survived much, much worse. There were outright resurrections and more. Lucas did not start it. Star Wars was guilty of it long before Lucas brought Maul back. But again, Maul was an exception, ant the context surrounding his return was entirely different. He never died in the first place, he was a powerful Sith Lord, which is why he was strong enough with the Dark Side to survive those injuries, much like Anakin survived getting cut to pieces and burned alive at the shore of a lava river, and Maul's "return" actually did cost him and changed him as a character. Mythologically speaking, he came out different. Whereas Ventress just came back somehow like nothing happened. It didn't seem to cost her anything, physically or mentally. It doesn't seem like there is even an ounce of legitimate, organic storytelling there. She is just back for fan service, and nothing else. Especially given the fact that her story was already finished and her character came full circle, and there is quite literally nothing more to add — there is only to detract for the sake of fan service.
>Palpatine came back in the 90's.
In the EU, not in Lucas' canon.
And look, it made a lot more sense that Palpatine created some Force-wielding clones of himself BEFORE his death, than that Maul SOMEHOW returned AFTER being chopped in half, by making spider legs out of parts found in a junk pile where his upper body fell (seriously?).
>show has a woman beat up 3 highly trained men
She's not just some random woman, she's a fricking Force user, and she's beaten hundreds, if not thousands, clones before, so even if the Bad Batch guys are less predictable than regular clones, they're still weaker than all the trained Jedi, Sith, and neutral Force users.
If that's woke, Tartakovsky's CW and 2008's TCW were even more woke.
calls it woke
Of course not you idiot you're watching the second or third Pozz Wars Jimmy Neutron homosexual show only actual children and people who identify as LGBTQ watch this shit there aren't Star Wars Neckbeards it's just homosexuals and literal children
>the Batch is lucky she didn't kill them.
¿Don't the Nightsisters get weaker every time they are resurrected, though? IIRC that was explained in the Maul & Savage episodes of TCW.
>the Batch is lucky she didn't kill them.
¿Don't the Nightsisters get weaker every time they are resurrected, though? IIRC that was explained in the Maul & Savage episodes of TCW.
she wasnt trying to kill them until they pissed her off where she decided to use a lightsaber and the force
if this was the old ventress she would have killed them on the spot
I don't remember hearing that, but I would be surprised. Maul and Savage were both stronger after their supposed resurrections/strengthening by the Nightsisters than before.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ventress has a weaker affinity for the force because she doesn't understand how to use a non-Dark version of it, and actively avoids using the Force to avoid detection (and her past).
Will we ever see Korkie Kryze-Kenobi in any upcoming SW series set in the Empire or New Republic era? I refuse to believe that he just disappeared shortly after his "aunt" mom was killed by Maul, and no one had ever figured out where he was by 9 ABY.
Bad Batch is such a shit show. Incredible how Feloni managed to frick up arguably one of the more interesting time periods in the SW timeline. We could've had the Battle of Kamino but we have to follow some dumb frick kid for 3 seasons
>except this one super special chosen one clone, she’s a girl
You forgot Boba. Yes, he never realized his full potential and had no training other than what he received as a bounty hunter, but he was (is) a Force-wielder just like Omega.
Hunter is now actively one of the worst characters- especially now w/ Crosshairs back in the squad the absolute juxtaposition between them, he's like a quarter of a character.
correct
I don't doubt it but I really don't care about these clones, the female clone of Jango, or more sequels damage control.
Omega is such a shit character it’s unreal
The first season was the best and overall every single shot without omega is substantially higher quality then the ones without her

With* her frick WHY CAN DISNEY NOT WRITE CHILD CHARACTERS WELL EVEN FRICKING REBELS WAS SUBSTANTIALLY MORE INTERESTING
Oh-mee-gah is great, one of the better child characters they've written
Oh Mee-Ga
Pretty much. Omega actively drags the show down. She's the Lisa Simpson of Star Wars.
Not a high bar.

It truly is. Hopefully we'll get more seasons.
>its better
Notice how OP didnt say it was good.
Ventress will die and Omeega will wield her yellow lightsaber by the end of the series.
non-jedi can wield lighsabers just as good as jedi you chud!
Isn't that greivous' whole character?
Indeed, girl power is equivalent to an elite warrior cyborg built with the best technology available.
Grevious sucked at fighting.
>Ventress will die
She has ~7 more lives, you know?
filonislop ruined star wars years before disney
It was a lot easier to ignore
The kid female clone is the only one not moronic and also a Mary Sue right?
Looks like absolute shit
I'll be deep. In the cold cold ground before I watch a Star Wars cartoon anymore.
its a kids show
>watch The Bad Batch

Yeah and then the moronic neckbeard sold the franchise to Yidsney before making the sequel trilogy. Frick George Floydcas.
I remember an art book from way before TCW started that had spider Maul in it. George seemed to instantly regret killing him so soon
>show has a woman beat up 3 highly trained men

Clone Wars season 7 was so mid I stopped watching any new Star Wars after it
what the frick even is this thing supposed to be?
thats omega, a female clone
That's Omeeeeeega
>doesn't recognize a clone trooper's face on a little girl's body
Still shit, who the frick watches star wars?
>Still shit, who the frick watches star wars?
I do. Millions of people do, in fact. It's probably the most popular franchise in the world.
>Completely talking out of your ass
Disengenous shill is a fricking moron
The clone sniper episodes carried the whole show, he's the only good character
Will we ever see Korkie Kryze-Kenobi in any upcoming SW series set in the Empire or New Republic era? I refuse to believe that he just disappeared shortly after his "aunt" mom was killed by Maul, and no one had ever figured out where he was by 9 ABY.

Yeah but the last couple episode stunk. Get on with the story already

forgetting someone?
Is she the only one who actually says "Omeega"?
aside from omeega herself, yes
what is George's biggest regret?
Not becoming a real director, and devoting his life to this shitty children's fantasy instead.
Hopefully marrying a Black person.
