I think it's the absurdity of some of the things in there. Like it was to appeal to younger generation of girls that listened to Cindy Lauper (no spell check srry). I'm just guessing here since I was too young to be tuned into society at the time. I just remember bits and pieces that I noticed.
Examples I would think would be...
-teenagers in the mall looking annoyingly supportive of this outlaw
-this happening to a trailer park girl may have turned off anyone who isn't broke?
-why'd the kids to such a sloppy job of trying to get the money back? tell parents?
just stuff like that. Don't even get me started on that bad editing job where Binx shoves the dumpster to block the doorway
