Anyone who admires Bateman is literally moronic though. He's portrayed as one of the most pathetic protagonists in the history of cinema.
The man has a full-blown panic attack because a colleague has a nicer business card than him, is "on the verge of tears" when he thinks he won't get a nice table at a restaurant, experiences a psychotic breakdown mainly because he can't get a reservation at Dorsia, etc. If someone looks past all that because he's hot and wears a nice suit, they are room temperature IQ and have no business discussing or analyzing film.

Maggie Mae's opinion on Zack Snyder is based entirely on the fact that she believes that the eminently satirical televangelist clip that he shows in the film couldn't possibly be satire because it feels too realistic to be satire and it's not bracketed in a way to telegraph "this is satire, in this scene" and so it must be Zack Snyder's unvarnished personal beliefs

    This is nothing new.
Zack Snyder became a bad name the moment he decided to remake Romero's Dawn of the Dead.
For some reason Hollywood hated the supposed message behind the remake, a message that they themselves the movie, which was that the movie was against the "other", ie: Muslims, gays, blacks, inter-racial relationships, and so on.

From there the hate campaign for any new movie he did was on.

Because white guys are either supposed to be limp wristed pussy side characters or super nazi psychopaths. Any genuinely positive portrayal of white men will only embolden them and make them want to elect Cheeto Hitler again. White men have been BAD VERY, VERY BAD. You need to be constantly reminded to hate yourself and people who look like you or you might start asking unpleasant questions. Roman Polanski, but in reverse. You've never seen so many Hollywood actors, directors, producers, and well connected socialites come out of the woodwork in defense of a literal pedophile who fled the country to avoid getting arrested for his crimes.

      >Over 160 film directors, actors, screenwriters, and producers signed a petition, started by Bernard-Henri Lévy, which urged Polanski's release. The petition was signed by many prominent individuals in the film industry including Guillermo del Toro, Martin Scorsese, Sam Mendes, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Michael Mann, Woody Allen, Darren Aronofsky, Harrison Ford, Jeremy Irons, and Wong Kar-wai. Several signatories, including Emma Thompson and Natalie Portman, later retracted their names from the petition or expressed regret over signing it. Lévy's petition has been the subject of significant media and public criticism since its release.

It’s not rare at all. Hollywood is filled with pedophile rapists. Part of the reason why those actors are defending him is because they themselves are guilty of the same crimes.

          >Is there some sort of union rule that forces Hollywood talents to all agree on these little thing petitions?
Quite clearly. The only other society I've seen so uniform not only in its opinions but how vociferously they're expressed is North Korea, and it's no accident all the little skits and performances from the Oscars, as well as the histrionic audience reactions, are entirely interchangeable with those put on in Pyongyang. Hollywood is our very own Korean Workers' Party, undissenting in all its positions, unrelenting in its loud and constant voice, unwavering in its perpetual commitment to The Current Thing In the Current Year.

Do you think maybe the Snyderians might be a little less rambunctious if the media didn't react like they were dangerous terrorists every time?

I heard SImu Liu's performance is so inspiring that he is now considered to be an A-Lister for roles after this.

I figured the noise would have died down after they finally released the actual Snyder Cut and it was still shit

    >woman using barbie brand to try shit on men

There might be thousand reasons to hate that movie, but the fact that it shits on a fricking capeshit - is definitely not one of them

Greta can't remotely sell feminism with the Barbie brand. This franchise is inescapably linked to an idealized white suburban fantasy that has a main character who perpetuates unrealistic beauty standards. Casting Margot Robbie was just a silent admission of what Barbie has always been, and frankly, injecting divisive political statements into this movie is just setting it up to bomb.

      >this movie will bomb.
i'll bet you 20 dollars it wont

It won’t bomb because the trailers have strategically hidden the movie’s agenda and made it look like it’ll be fun instead of a miserable feminist soapbox screed. So it’ll have a massive opening weekend. After that there will be a massive drop-off, but it will already have made its money back.

I'm reading the quote tweets and there seem to be more people going "Oooooh the cult is going to be soooo mad!" than actual angry snyderbots.

It would have been funnier if he was watching Drive or Blade Runner 2049 instead of capeshit.

Literal trannies ITT celebrating this gay woke flop. There sure wasn't a targeted campaign against Snyder's traditionally masculine movies.
