with david zaslav in charge I doubt anything not live action will get the chance to even touch a theater
it can go either way, Warner Bros. Animation is normally a television/direct-to-video studio but they're trying to move into theatrical (the Lord of the Rings anime project slated for December and that Daffy and Porky movie they're trying to sell are examples of this)
this is also the first time (besides Creature Commandos and whatever else they're doing on the TV front) where Gunn is working directly with WBA. we'll see what happens
They literally just created an entire theatrical hybrid-animated movie and shelved it just because they figured the government bailing them out was preferable to paying for a few ad billboards on La Cienega.

People do not like ugly things enough to see a full movie about it. At the most this should be a single episode of a tv series or a brief scene in a movie (say they visit the dino-dimension for like 10 minutes) because ugliness, when it's good, is only in short bursts.

I'm sure it's possible to design dinosaur versions of super heroes that are not ugly. There is an infinite numer of ways they could have gone about it and it's not my job to to pick the best one. That is the job of the art director and other top people.
