South Park also treats itself as a dumb show whenever they feel like it, clearly taking the piss out of itself and those who take it too seriously and Family guy can sometimes try to embarrassingly cover more serious topics as well. It's a fault of both shows, but you see it in other adult comedy series like Rick and Morty. It switches from Skrimblfricknuggets the wienerswabbler getting his dick blown off with a laser to at attempt at some serious commentary on something meta or some philosophical or psychological thing. Sometimes it feels like adult comedies try to have their cake and eat it too.
Futurama was probably one of the few adult comedy series I have seen where the genuine moments felt deserved, but its also comparatively the most tame in terms of content.

Family Guy seethes over never winning an emmy all the time. The show constantly tries to be more than a dumb comedy. There are multiple Family Guy episodes that try to be serious falls flat on its face because all the characters are irredeemable monsters.
One Piece takes 1000 chapters to get to the backstory of characters who were only relevant a decade ago, then try and force a sad sob story that's inserted in the middle of an exciting battle, only for those characters to surely leave and barely be seen ever again as we focus on the other characters with tragic backstories.

It's always weird to me how nice the boys sans Cartman are in the newer seasons compared to how bratty they were in the first few seasons. Like Kyle telling his mom he didn't give a shit about Kenny or being generally being bullies
unfortunately I can't relate, having grown up with it as the core demographic when it started (I was like 9, and watching the first episode was exciting and 'not allowed') and following it at a distance since then. I can only imagine what someone who became aware of it after it was already successful would think of it.
Does One Piece really exposite much? It tends to be better about letting visuals tell the story.
And aside from stuff like "Don't laugh at people's dreams" They don't usually explain the moral messages. The messages are glaringly obvious and sometimes are 1:1 parody of real life people/events... But they rarely explain them.
