Batgirl had a test screening and the audience was mixed with some loving it and others not so much.
The Batgirl actress (Leslie Grace) was fine.
Brendan Frasier as Firefly is easily the best thing about the movie.
J. K. Simmons is the comissionair James Gordon (same as JUSTICE LEAGUE/ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE)
There are references to Robbie Margot's Harley Quinn (we see her baseball bat from SUICIDE SQUAD)
there are references to Jurnee Smollett's Black Canary (we see a poster with the actress' face reminiscent of BIRDS OF PREY posters)
There are references to Michelle Pfeifer's Catwoman (we see her whip from BATMAN RETURNS)
There are references to Joker being alive and running about (it is unknown if it is Jared Leto or Jack Nicholson, but it seems to be leaning into being Nicholson)
There are references to a Robin and him being tied to Court of Owls (it isn't Chris O'Donnell or Marlon Wayans).
There are references to BATMAN V SUPERMAN (Lex Luthor is still locked up at Arkham Asylum after bombing the Capitol and creating Doomsday)
Michael Keaton as Batman left the audience utterly confused. Apparently the movie tries to explain away that he isn't the usual Batman but a different Batman or something which confused everyone.
Michael Keaton's Batman have a no-kill rule and forces Batgirl to follow it. He also never killed anyone ever.
Bring back Batfleck
What’s the point of even bringing back Keaton if it isn’t even the same Batman?
It sounds like this takes place in some weird Composite Universe made from recycled assets of other ones
>Margot Harley Quinn and Birds of Prey still canon
Why?!! They were the worst.
Well, at least the movies are now comic accurate.
They have accurately recreated the complicated nature of DC continuity.
Ye I genuinely have no idea what's canon anymore. It feels like the DCEU exists only to keep Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie around but I have no idea which flicks are canon or not anymore so I can't speak to their characters at all despite them being in a boatload of movies compared to everyone else.
fsr Warner Execs think no one wants a Cougar Harley when realistically Burtonverse Harley would have been Brooke Shields
What a fricking mess.
I guess I'll now go have nightmares about a geriatric Jack Nicholson banging Margot Robbie.
You know, Flashpoint, The Nail, Red Son, Infinite Crisis, a bunch of Elseworlds show that when Superman fails to materalize in his classical form, the entire DC universe suffers. It's strange to see that happen in real life as well, but I suppose we were warned.
Hypercrisis
Wait, is that another Black replacing a redhead?
>reviews are mixed
Yeah, that’s not the only thing.
Fun fact. There were actual redheads/auburns applying for the role with a much bigger acting cred (like Zoey Deutch), but they were all turned down in favour of a sheboon who can't act for shit. I suppose it's because sheboon was the cheapest.
That would have been enough on it's own. But the lack of a Killer Moth romance arc doomed them completely.
>Micheal Keaton’s Batman
>no kill rule
>Michael Keaton's Batman have a no-kill rule and forces Batgirl to follow it. He also never killed anyone ever.
Between this and Battinson looks like they've finally learnt.
Them using Firefly a'la Year One is the one thing that has me interested.
I would be more surprised if Batgirl was a actually any good. This movie is DOA.
