I absolutely enjoyed episode 7 the most of any of the episodes aired so far, but it was a "side story" that put the main plot on hold for the most part. Episode 8 went back to the main plot and was a bit sluggish and uneventful.

Pros
-Still most visually interesting and well animated show being produced today.
-Writing is mostly atmospheric and allows the drawings to sit. The character's emotions are drawn and not said. Great draftsmanship.
-Great coloring and effect animations.
-All characters are lovable in their own right. So expressive and weird. Main and background characters.
-I want to see where the series is going and I'll watch it move than once.

-Honestly really bland music. A lot of music seems phoned in and some scenes have too much music
-The animation errors are VERY noticeable. Makes you wonder if they're intentional.
-Took a bit too long to get started, the 1st few episodes could've been a movie, so that the series could officially get started.
-Not all characters have been given something to do or seem like they're filler.

Avengers isn't too reddit-y. Given that Genndy is fan of Silver/Bronze Age comics, the use of superhero like tropes might be intentional.
I liked the first two episodes a lot but thought it dragged a bit in the middle.
This episode had some pacing issues and I don't like it as much as the last one, but it's doing a good job of building up to a finale. I really, really hope that finale is satisfying, even if it's not the series finale.
It's great to see what a tsun Melinda grew up to be.

We do after this episode. We see now Edred joined Unicorn out of altruism first and Melinda second, so it wasn't a sacrifice out of pure love. We see their relationship started hostile and they only talked due to convenience. Compared to Winston who Emma loved all her life and it was a pure love.

I'm interested in how it's gonna go. The show isn't perfect, but I wish to see it to the end. And if it gets another season, I'll watch it too for the same reasons.
Nta but honestly this reminds me of early 2000s era cartoons. It's refreshing as a lot of recent stuff isn't all that great. It's been a comfy ride and this episode really hit hypeness for me. I feel like a little kid again watching cartoon network. Feels good bros.

If this was an 80's show, it'd have gotten 65 episodes to expand this story to it's full grasp. This last episode basically squished so much into 22 min.

The best time for long narrative action shows was 90-96. The stories could just go to completion. But yeah, early 00's was the sweet spot before there was no longer an market for action shows for kids.
What happened to Symbiotic Titan was probably the biggest L in Genndy's career.
I did say most of the 2000s. But yeah the early 2010s massacred action cartoons and it couldn't explained solely by stuff like CN Real.
