>What's it about?
It's about Jack. Mean kid. Bad seed. Hurt people.
Till one day a guy dressed as a bat threw him into toxic chemicals that bleached his skin and turned his hair green. The sudden change warped Jack's cruel personality and he became more of a clown, always wanting to make people laugh. Jack vowed to go straight, become the hero that Gotham deserved, and calling his vigilante persona: The Joker.
Finally, somebody willing to admit tim burton is a hack. Even george clooney batman was better than this garbage. Whoever cast keaton was an absolute moron.
You are thick. He goes on one date with a reporter and doesn’t make a move.
That b***h reporter should have put out though.
Impossible mode. Create a thread I can misogyny in
You know what else he doesn't do? An actual action scene. For one of the biggest action heroes during one of the biggest action eras of cinema. Also, no ambushing or really fighting of any kind. Probably has to do with casting mr. fricking mom.
The feel is all wrong. Batman is either over the top and irreverent or grimdark and bleak. Burton's batman was a combination and it did both parts poorly. At least make gotham city look like a real city and not some gay circus.
Do not care for Tim Burton flicks but at least it's before the two decades long love affair with Johnny Depp cast as Burtons self insert and even casting Burtons wife Helena Bonham Carter as the love interest so Burton can film himself getting cucked.
Batman 1989 definitely becomes worse the more you rewatch it
It looks and feels soulful, but the more you rewatch it the more overal campiness and goofiness become tedious and kinda destroy the whole cohesive feeling.
Batman Returns on other hand is great and becomes even better on rewatch. This is the best Burton Batman movie and one of his overall best movies. Here he perfected own formula and in tandem with great actors' work made a masterpiece.
Batman Returns definitely has some comic book feel in it, although characters are pretty far moved from their comic counterparts, Penguin especially. And the main villain Max Shreck was an OG character.
I'm with OP. It's a fun film to "remember". I still have the batmobile poster from when I was a kid and the bat symbol is cool or whatever. But it's a bad movie. "You wanna get nuts?" being unironically membered as an iconic line is cringe. Nicholson asking for a mirror is great, I love that.

>OP is a homosexual
What else is new
Finally, somebody willing to admit tim burton is a hack. Even george clooney batman was better than this garbage. Whoever cast keaton was an absolute moron.
1988 called, they want their ice cold take back
If it's 1988 then how did I know george clooney would become batman?
what happened that made you so gay?
Batman Returns was great
How come every single superhero comic is created by a person of israeli origin?
Frank Miller had some interesting ideas about this.
qrd?
They're experts at recycling old fables and mythology and spinning it as something new, aka lying
That's not lying
>>I have shit taste
Great thread, gay
It always bothers me how much of a coomer Burton's Batman is.

vicki and bruce frick on the first date

You're not our number one guy so we really don't give a shit
it was pretty bad
it has that very awkward boomer dialogue and pacing. Batman has zero charisma. It almost made me miss MCU quips

Well OP... nobody wants a war, a heh heh, we can't do shitposts why, we'll just shake hands, and that'll be it.
Thats exactly how it was

Yeah you get it. Only half agree about Returns but we can shake hands on this.
Batman Returns definitely has some comic book feel in it, although characters are pretty far moved from their comic counterparts, Penguin especially. And the main villain Max Shreck was an OG character.
89 is becoming more like a toy ad the more you watch it. Returns isa Burton film top to bottom.
