>billed as the “Dark Knight”
>marketed as a “Gothic” character
>95% of his stories are him jumping from rooftops and chasing thieves and killers in the STREETS
I can’t be the only one who likes the idea of Batman but absolutely loathes the execution. From being confined to Gotham while being a supergenius billionaire schizo, to doing nothing but chasing the same five homosexuals, he is a character that I absolutely loathe as is. Batman should’ve been an Occult Detective of sorts, having mostly supernatural adventures all over the world. His usual look is pure Urban Gothic, but his actual execution is just more street trash. Imagine if the Joker was a truly chaotic entity unable to be killed; it’d render the whole reason why Batman doesn’t kill him utterly redundant. You could have him be capable and “OP” but still face challenges since the stakes would be raised. And he’d offer something to the JL being a resident Occult guy.
But no. Instead Batman is a supergenius billionaire wasting his time and resources in Not!Jersey, being actively wary of the supernatural, and playing car and mouse with ten furry homosexuals in THE STREETS. That’s Batman. 20 titles per month all with that same exact premise. It’s asinine how he has any fans, let alone the legions of them. I just don’t get it. The moment toddler me read actual Batman comics he got disappointed, because instead of getting a guy being the monsters’ bogeyman, got a crazy furry punching robbers. All I like about Batman is just the costume, nothing more.

>l don't read comics and don't know there are a bajillion characters with the same ideas that l presented
You don't read comics and just want to b***h. Plenty of Batman comics have the ideas and aesthetic you're looking for
Nobody cares about comics.
>Nobody cares about your niche hobby
Fricking great I hope more people stop caring and you clearly care otherwise you wouldn't be here
I like Batman.
Then go read Batman comics. Assuming you're op try
>The Doom that Came to Gotham
>Batman and Dracula
>Birth of the Demon
I'm sure other anons can give you some suggestions. Tbqh there's some half truths in op and I'd like to read more supernatural Batman myself
Why did you make this thread then you fricking moron?
>WHY AREN'T THERE COMICS THAT I CAN ENJOY!? >:-(
>There are.
>NOBODY CARES ABOUT COMICS! D-:<
That's you. You immediately deflect when proven wrong like a coward. Frick you!
Different anon, dude.
Go to Cinemaphile then

Batman used to fight vampires.
>fight vampires.
No Bruce, you are the vampires
And then Bruce was a vampire.
Golden Age Batman fought vampires.
Modern-ish 91-98 else world batman is a vampire.
This is the mentality that keeps ruining nerd fandoms and I'm tired of it. A bunch of Johnny-come-latelies rolling in saying, "I love (x character or property) but hate (proceeds to list everything about said subject) and then everything about a beloved thing gets changed.
they should just go back to him being a knock off of the shadow. including the purple gloves
BurtonBats was already that complete with the lack of the no-kill rule. Easily one of the best versions of the character.
>Imagine if the Joker was a truly chaotic entity unable to be killed; it’d render the whole reason why Batman doesn’t kill him utterly redundant.
You mean the twist they tried to do at the end of Snyder's run on Batman?
It's almost like his primary (well, I guess secondary these days) book is called "Detective Comics" or something.
OP's issue is that Batman isn't Hellboy.
What about Sanctum?
The Batman comics from the 80's-90's hit the gothic atmosphere the best.
Once Jim Lee came out with Hush they went back to just making him pose like a regular superhero with writers who made him deal with convoluted crossovers and superhero continuity shit.
Frick superheroes.
Volume 3 when Marini
>wot if character wuz not character
I'm bumping this solely for more people to see how much of a homosexual OP is.
Why are those who don't like this character all morons?
>Dark Knigh
Do you know it's a real thing?

Battinson should’ve dealt with the supernatural instead of retreading Nolan. Maybe even a crossover with Keanu’s Constantine.
>Keanu’s Constantine.
always amazes me that people care about that generic ass 2000s movie.
In the next movie it's confirmed that he's going against clay face
