>I don't like you that way b-baka!
>Oh ok. I'm not attracted to you either.
>Seethe
Paulo's such a drag, no wonder David ditched him.
He's just pulling a Lucy. The way Taeshi writes her characters, I would not be surprised if they all converge upon the same tsundere archetype by the comic's end. An entire cast of insufferable Lucy clones who experience unequal comeuppance.
I wonder what the memelord is even doing during all this anyway?
Deleting his problematic twitter posts since that's basically how Taeshi treated him.
Sexually harassing flower girl and slyly reinforcing Madison's anxiety that she's just Jessica's chocolate-flavored Lucy.
>Sexually harassing flower girl
She's part of the main cast now!
>and slyly reinforcing Madison's anxiety
The only good Madison appearances
>She's part of the main cast now!
Good for her
Haven't you heard, anon? New Year's Eve is over IT'S GARBAGE DAY
>You're my best friend man
>REEEEE FRICK YOU MIKE
>EVERYBODY LOVES YOU
>PIECE OF SHIT
>next week preview: Paulo walking away
See Mike, you don't have any friends.
It looks like they're both kneeling in the snow with Paulo facing away after his embarrassing outburst.
Current page has Paulo's kneeling to Mike's left. Preview he's on his right. So someone's gotten up and moved. Taeshi has been getting sloppy though, last week Mike had turned completely around so that Paulo couldn't see his mask of happiness crack but she didn't show that motion, just Mike's face since it's easier to draw.
I think she just doesn't keep track of positioning because that requires basic effort and forethought.
Mike x Lucy is indeed inevitable, but I would not take this page as good evidence. Paulo is working off of an incomplete picture here. He apparently hadn't noticed that James jumped tracks to fawn all over David, leaving orange and gray cats to walk off on their own. He also doesn't know about EF, the arcade, etc. There was Lucy rejecting his offer to throw Mike under the bus, but that's easily explained by her stupid distrust of the table at large.
But then who knows what Taeshi thinks should be taken from this. She's one of the worst message makers I've ever seen.
>He apparently hadn't noticed that James jumped tracks to fawn all over David
I wonder if Taeshi is course-correcting since she lost the Jamesgays with that shit.
That would be nice, though I'm still expecting that James will no longer make any appearance outside of the occasional mention. He will theoretically still be in Mike's corner but have no influence on the story.
pretty much. He'll be around but not enough for Mike to have a shoulder to lean on when he catches bullshit.
I don't get it. Is he blushing because he's ashamed of leading Lucy on in Eternal Flame?
>Is he blushing because he's ashamed of leading Lucy on in Eternal Flame?
Yes. Nobody but Augustus has been told about their passionate kiss yet.
Paulo not knowing is why I assumed he would be blushing, because he is ashamed and worried about being found out.
>Mike fesses up
>Paulo nearly hits him
>decides Lucy isn't worth it since she pump and dumped him
>tells Mike to stop being so hung up on shit girls
Shame it won't happen
Nah Paulo would beat the shit out of Mike in rage. Orange cat is an overly emotional moron who lashes out instead of sitting back and thinking. He only got over Lucy for a while because she stung him hard and got him pissy.
Probably a combination of things.
>feels ashamed for hurting her
>shocked that she could still want him after everything
>conflicted about maybe still wanting her too
>cringe for taking Sandy back
>embarrassment that Paulo is talking about things that are surely no longer possible
Oh, and frightened at the possibility of being found out since Paulo won't take kindly to what he's responsible for. Also Mike is probably well aware that he's the reason, one way or another, that Paulo keeps losing his chances with white cat.
I really like the panels with blushing Mike, we need more expressions like this and less ugly crying expressions.
That bed looks uncomfortable, are they sleeping in a stone slab?
The firmness of their surroundings exaggerates the soft squishyness of their tummies.
Imagine if Daisy was happy (and thin)
Author can't post to Cinemaphile right now, adds: "tell thread sorry for waiting so long with mike-haley, paulo-rose and etc"
>more appealing to the slampig
I doubt it, the slampig already lusts after him.
>drawanon has a secretary to post for them
Imagine if Daisy was male (and wound up on Wizardchan after becoming a failed normie)
I keep imagining a story where Paulo is Paula. And her, Lucy, and Daisy all compete for Mike's korat wiener. They also have a pact in place, if one of them wins Mike's heart that's it, no more fighting over him. Lucy walks Mike to school, Daisy studies with him, while Paula has quite the knack of sneaking into his house.
But all the attention is not on Mike. The girl's find their vision pried away as boys Abbey and Augustus enter the scene. While Paula finds herself caught between Tak (make Tess) and Raphael's (male Rachel) rivalry.
>While Paula finds herself caught between Tak (make Tess) and Raphael's (male Rachel) rivalry.
So does Paula get fed alcohol by Jess then, dubiously consented in the bathroom and after both Jess and rapaheal brag about it.
Can we please skip that actually, I cant think of anway to write that without pissing people off by having one of the heroines kinda raped and then allowing the characters responsible to be around after and played sympathetically.
I'm pretty sure in that scenario Tak would be giving Jess and Raph some matching bloody noses, if not more.
Yup. Their would be way more fighting in gender bent bcb and way less sympathy for helping damage a heroine just to get back at some guy. Seriously, what shitheads for doing that in reg bcb.
I still believe that Abbey would have choke slammed Lucas for this shit eventually. He was still friends with Mike despite the daisy shit and paulo never physically hurt daisy but look what happened there.
It could work if Tak hurt Jessica and it was Raphael getting back at him. But that would take major story revisions.
Yeah but their still raping an innocent girl to get back at someone else. Why not just jump tak when he is alone? Still drama but at least they are targeting the prep instead on someone not related.
>Why not just jump tak when he is alone?
Probably terrified of him. Tak would be huge along with having a reputation of being a hardcore bad boy. Neither Jess nor Raphael seem to be fighters either.
>Jump a dude and maybe fail vs rape an innocent girl
Even when genderbent their balless b***hes.
Daisy unironically looks better this way. Taeshi made her side curls look cancerous some time ago.
>Fem Paulo
Paulina? Otherwise, HNNNGHH
Could Abbey resist her charm?
He'd probably take it differently than male paulo. He'd try to be nicer to her, but he wouldn't put hands on her because at minimum it'd remind him of what is dad did,
True, but he'd still classify her as a bad influence. I imagine that with Lukas and Paula serving as examples, Abbey might realize that there's other forms of abuse than physical, and mellow out faster as a result. He'd probably come to Michelle's defense, though.
Abigail on the other hand would be fricking vicious. Without having internalized the role of "protector" or the idea that she has to restrain herself, she'd be even quicker to violence and less measured in it. I imagine she'd carry a knife for self-defense, since pepper spray is for chumps and she's too young to carry a gun.
Nice work, though it would be better if you shrank Daisy's head back down to normal proportions.
Can finally post by myself. And yeah, not gonna lie I'm still not sure what's the best proportions are for all those cats and dogs. Even digitally
So James but with more self restrain?
Here's a useful guide, don't do the "renounce art" part though
>The head's too small. What are you, a furry?
Is that a thing? Are furries known for their small heads?
I think he means a realistic adult head-to-body ratio
I think it's a reference to taeshi resizing the heads to avoid furry accusations
She couldn't, but I sure would like to see her try.
I'm mean, I know how to draw those drama generators, I'm more torn on what proportions look best really, and seems like even Taeshi couldn't decide in this guide of yours (or in general, with how many times proportions changed in the comic)
>Taeshi
That guide is not by taeshi, just a fan artist
Ah. My bad. But still, parodies aside, so far in my art cats and constantly dying yellow dog always jumped in proportions, mostly between 1-3 and 1-5's. Still can't decide what looks best, or if I even should stick with one and instead keep drawing them differently every time...
So long as they are not bobble-headed freaks honestly.
I-it's not fat...
That's extremely lewd.
It's just a haircut, anon! Daisy wouldn't do lewd things in public, she's too insecure for that!
>tfw you'll never get to run your hands over Daisy's freshly shaved tummy
why is mike not celebrating new years with his girlfriend
would turn an electric shaver to bully. imagine writing rude words in sue's fur!
Tall Queen.
I still believe that Sandy geassed Mike or enthralled him at a young age. Because having his mind ensnared by psychic powers is the only explanation for Mike's inexplicable obsession with model cat.
Even better, such a revelation would make Lucy wonder if Mike's former love toward her was just an off-target effect.
Lucy would definitely be psychic too just like Sandy, most likely subconsciously making everyone around love her. Why else would everyone put up with her!? As an added bonus Mike get's to fret over whether the feelings for these girls were ever real, while having his mind torn apart by two psychics feuding over him.
Realizing that would destroy Lucy as well thanks to her insecurities. No one loves her for who she is. Lucy thought they only wanted her body or maybe her approval. No, turns out it's not even that, just hypnosis.
Maybe Lucy already knows she's psychic? That year away at her Aunt's was just her being taught in her family's ways. It'd also explain why she tried to keep everyone so distant when she returned to Roseville, she knew her psychic abilities would inevitably effect them.
>as soon as Sandy's interest in Mike cooled Mike's faltering attraction to her collapsed
Now that you mention it after Eternal Flame Mike's desire for attention and love did spike. He gave Daisy a kiss after all, to which she replied by immediately grabbing his face and returning the favor.
>her family's ways
Psychic shit strikes me as recently emergent.
>Now that you mention it after Eternal Flame Mike's desire for attention and love did spike.
Not surprising. Sandy was carelessly letting her hold over Mike decay, straining his mind, then cut him off in a decisive snap. Maybe one or two hours later, she quickly reestablished the link but the damage has been done. The fit is no longer perfect.
Maybe Mike is like Feyd Ratha from Dune, the man ment to father the psychic messiah who will guide everyone in the next step of evolution.
Even if the girls don't know this, they can feel this via there abilities. Thus explaining why everyone around Mike wants him, and by extension the libido suppression.
Or Mike is a nexus that feeds and amplifies those around him with psychic powers. Even normals get some mental nourishment from him.
>The only reason Lucy can enthrall her friends, family, and everyone in Roseville. Is because Mike is amplifying her powers.
That's a hilariously terrible situation for everyone involved.
>It didn't work at the psych ward, people just treated her as a garden variety BPD
>and at her Aunt's house her hold on Yashy and the pets broke
>she couldn't help but come back, her borrowed psychic powers were the only thing that made her special
>part of Lucy's disdain toward Mike is out of anger that she's still so reliant on him one way or another
>Mike is blessed with great power, but one he can never use himself
>This radiation of power also means people will always give him attention
>Whether he wants it or not
>This all also means he's doomed to be used by those around him as their own abilities are enhanced by his mere presence
Man poor Micheal. Though it would be pretty funny if Paulo's charm and Daisy's smarts were amplified because of him too. So when Mike inevitably moves away they find their lives falling apart.
The only people who aren't using him for his powers are Sandy, who has her own and is just a bawd, and James who hasn't gotten close enough to notice the effect yet.
Sandy probably figured out how to make Mike's enhancement ability long range at least for herself, she certainly didn't get so far into modeling on her own merits. While the track including James are definitely under Mike's sway, probably just got caught up in his psychic field is all.
So Mike and Lucy are in a sort of psychic symbiotic bond, meaning to reach their true potential they need to bond and be together. Damnit even with this Psychic BCB theorizing we can't escape the Mike x Lucy endgame.
>Sandy probably figured out how to make Mike's enhancement ability long range at least for herself
Perhaps all that is required is Mike's focus on the individual. Was she even doing modeling before he hooked up with her as a long-distance GF? It also explains why Lucy's Mary Sue aura got so strong once she came back: Mike was obsessing over her.
>meaning to reach their true potential they need to bond and be together
>Mike and Lucy
>sounds a lot like Michael and Lucifer i.e. two very powerful angels
The idea of these two cats ascending to demi-god status should terrify.
>The idea of these two cats ascending to demi-god status should terrify.
Through the power of love and connection, Lucy and Mike are able to ascend and change the world as they desire. Sounds pretty good for a romance story.
Only if Mike prevents Lucy's BPD from turning the world into a living hell and she pushes him to act instead of wallowing in guilt over every bad thing that happens under their watch.
What about an active Mike and psychic Lucy destroy the world as they know if, so their children can assuredly live in peace?
Both cats are so stupid they would probably destroy it by accident alone.
>Lucy starts her psychic rebellion, goes all magneto on the normals
>Sandy sides with the normals, since being a war hero means even more clout
>Mike is dragged along for the ride
>Sandy is killed in the cross-fire
>Mike turns himself in to the feds
>Lucy's powerlevel spikes exponentially
>???
>Global Psychonuclear War
And afterwards Mike a veteran of the psychic wars wanders the wasteland that was once Roseville wondering where it all went wrong.
I did have a fic idea where Michael is human incarnation of the archangel Michael
>where Michael is human incarnation of the archangel Michael
Don't you mean feline incarnation?
yes my bad
>James who hasn't gotten close enough to notice the effect yet.
What's funny is that David must have been close the effects cause he somehow got more athletic and agile being able to outrun Mike and also balance on top of an icy lamp post, thereby taking away Jame's proximity to Mike.
Mike is capable of using other powers given his absurd reflexes, prophetic dreams, and physics-defying feats, but usually those took place when Lucy was still around. Once she left Roseville, they decayed away and have rarely resurfaced since. Perhaps there is a symbiotic relationship of sorts at work.
>Sandy and Lucy put the whammy on Mike to be in love with them
>One problem, Mike's gay
>This works out as intense emotional dependency and a need to be in a relationship with one of them, but little to no sex drive
>as soon as Sandy's interest in Mike cooled Mike's faltering attraction to her collapsed
But Mike still wanted Sandy badly. If anything, both girls' influence explains Mike's intense asexuality quite well. Sandy wants her safe long-distance relationship while Lucy loved the idea that Mike was into her without wanting to bang her. Hence the suppression.
He didn't even touch her all through their date until she pinned him to the floor and dialled up his libido.
We're talking about emotional attraction. Mike was frustrated with her but did not stop wanting Sandy until she unceremoniously dumped him.
We all know Sue is the militant nudist of the group
maybe a fatter Augustus may be more appealing to the slampig?
>You are right, Paulo! Maybe even your mom loves me more than you!
Here! I finished the comic! Taeshi can send me a check on the mail for this
He's going to bring up Daisy and have Mike confirm she no longer wants him, followed by railroading paulo x daisy harder. God I miss Rachel.
>Mike pushes Daisy x Paulo as a possibility
>Paulo thinks this is just Mike trying to defuse the situation and angrily rejects it
>we go another lap around the mobius strip of a plot
Yeah, Taeshi is going the most boring route and just reinforcing her OTPs. The Lucy segway as always is SO fricking unnatural and forced. Same goes with Mike inevitably floating "Well just go frick Daisy Paulo" and him acting like it's not gonna happen or unsure.
Why is all the forced romantic ships in this comic so goddamn awful? The doubling down after they are so repeatedly shitty and stagnant with one another is just garbage-tier writing.
More like /bcb/ was peak Suitcase autism here.
>Why is all the forced romantic ships in this comic so goddamn awful?
Because Taeshi wasted all of her time either not building them up or actively sabotaging them. Daisy started liking Paulo out of the blue because he bought her a milkshake (insert fat joke here) and stopped b***hing about how anime sucked for five minutes. Lucy hates Mike because he spent five years as a pathetic sperg goblin with no redeeming qualities then emotionally pumped and dumped her despite it being OOC as hell. Good job, Taeshi! Truly masterful work.
Mike bros is this a win? I cant tell
Thread 9(I think?) of asking Taeshi to do something with Mikes character today its cracked devil may care Mike
Bittersweet Candy Bowl is the delirious dream of the Khajiit bandit Alejan-dro whose moon sugar was cut with void salts. As he recovers from his stupor Azurah herself shows up and tells him that it wasn't just a hallucination, but a prophetic vision and he is tasked to recruit the Nirnian counterparts to those kids who humiliated him in the dream to save Elseweyr.
Holy crap Mike-Bros... Even Paulo had to admit it, and that means something...
Mike X Lucy is freaking happening and we are so winning
>Constantly antagonizes everyone and is a piece of shit.
>Uhhh why do people like you and not Le me?!?!?
I want to rape Lucy so fricking bad.
Wooooah calm down there bucko.
You know who else was able to break Lucy in just two months?
Alejandro couldn't break a spaghetti noodle.
Credit where credit is due, he did nearly choke Lucy out.
Good thing Lucy is such a push over once you get past her tsundere shtick.
>Mike vs Alejandro round 1
Alejandro beats Mike easily, would've stomped his brains in if Lucy didn't distract him by offering her body as a ruse
>Alejandro vs Mike round two
After an initial surprise attack Mike loses again and is getting choked out until Lucy saves him
It does make me wonder how a second match up with a sober Mike would go. Pissbaby Mike would probably curbstomp the guy in anger until the tables turn when he makes a stupid mistake. Sadsack Mike would fight out of desperation but hesitate and suffer for it.
Daisy could 1v1 Alejandro with her cheerleader strength.
As Mike bro myself I acknowledge that Mikes only way to win in a fight against Alej(assuming Knives and Guns aren't in play here) is to simply dodge him until Alejandro is exhausted and the give a finish blow.
>More shit
Just spoil the next page
/bcb/ discussion peaked here
PARASITE
>Taeshi still hasn't decided what the feet/paws should look like and keeps changing them every few months.
I hate it.
When the anatomy gets truly fricked, you know she's probably tracing 3d models.
Lol this is his reaction to "you're my best friend I love you bro" what a c**t. This really ought to drill it into Mike's head where they really stand but he's just going to be thinking about Lucy instead.
That leg panel reminds of realistic hands anon's edits, anybody have the one for this page? It was so good.
Only to segway into Lucyshit once more, when this is what Lucy supposedly thinks of them both.
Taeshi is SO fricked up in the head if she thinks for a fraction of a second this is compelling, interesting or good storytelling inthe slightest. Only someone with as broken of a brain as her would find this stuff romantic in the least.
But I guess when you are writing yourself dating yourself because writing anything but you're own self-insert is impossible you get BCB.
>most of the paragraph is about Mike and how he sucks for picking Sandy over her
>Paulo gets a couple of lines interspersed between general anti-boy b***hing
Honestly I am glad for this insight into Lucy's fricked up perspective and am seeing a lot of seething projection from her.
Lucy is insane, but ultimately it's still Taeshi's fault for writing Lucy back into Roseville to play nice when she has nothing but hate and disdain for the rest of the cast. I'd be mad too, if I found myself unable to escape no matter how many bridges I burned.
Abbey has nearly managed to ascend the metatron by escaping the demiurge's eye. He is the only winner of this deranged game, by virtue of not playing.
I'd wager that Lucy really did miss her friends, but she's still ultimately a selfish brat who can barely handle not getting her way. She got Augustus as a surprise replacement teddy bear and so has less incentive to buddy up with the others. That means barriers, previously unintended, thrown up between her and them. Inconveniently for Lucy, her friends have their own wills and do not immediately cave to her wishes. She will humor some unintended invasion as with Sue and Paulo, but once Lucy starts issuing orders you'd better fricking follow them or she'll flip the hell out. Basically everything would be wonderful if everyone just shut up and let her control everything.
Case in point: Lucy brings up Augustus to hurt Mike's feelings and make Daisy shut up. When Daisy instead acts like Daisy (it's not even a surprise Daisy did the same thing last year), Lucy quickly becomes hysterical and starts screaming like a madwoman.
>Lucy quickly becomes hysterical and starts screaming like a madwoman
And getting physical. Despite what Lucy says, it's really hard not to read this as her trying to keep Augustus to herself. The only time he's been able to meet with Daisy afterward was with Lucy present as totally-not-chaperone.
Daisy is really desperate to be anyone's first choice instead of the last viable option that she is to Paulo
Even after everything that happened between them, Daisy x Augustus is still a better pairing than the limp flatlined ship that is Paulo x Daisy.
Agreed. For all her faults she still deserve someone who actually wants her and not someone who'll settle for her
Even if Paulo wants her, the two are just not compatible on any level. Once Daisy is disenchanted and stops overlooking Paulo's many flaws, she would be miserable tied to him.
>Lucy quickly becomes hysterical and starts screaming like a madwoman.
Some day someone is going to snap and really hurt her when she does this.
She will be so easy in college, she can start renting herself out as a tent when she's done.
This is their job and it's paying pretty well. Taeshi has been posting about wanting to move back to Australia and have a kid, so maybe in a few years we'll see the end of the comic. Not because it's planned, but because taeshi will be out of the running recovering, the comic stops updating, and their income stream dries up, forcing them into abandoning the comic as a primary means of generating income. That'll probably take a few years, though.
>Some day someone is going to snap and really hurt her when she does this.
I want this to happen so badly as it's the inevitable outcome. That and we've seen that Lucy never evolves as a character without feeling regret.
>Some day someone is going to snap and really hurt her when she does this.
It'd be funny if Daisy did it because it's clear that Daisy would destroy Lucy if they ever got into a fight.
>Daisy
Girl-on-girl violence is the only fight Lucy even has a remote chance in. Maybe that martial arts training she's been getting will help her have an edge against Daisy? Any guy will simply overpower her, pin her down, and beat her mercilessly.
>scars from his encounter with Lucy
I think he just has the scar from when he nearly murdered his cheating ex.
The eye scar is from Melanie, cheek one (and teeth) from Lucy.
I think you're reading into those lines too much, the scratches on his face have been gone since the end of that chapter.
Daisy's strength is a meme but she could render Lucy helpless just by sitting on her.
>Lucy runs into Mike while he's feeling sad
>She makes it all about herself and projects deranged BPD fantasies onto Mike because she can't handle her anxiety and self-esteem issues without having a scapegoat
Be a real L for Mike to end up with this maniac.
Last thread there was some speculation that emotionally dead Mike might be a thing that happens, and I have to wonder how Lucy would handle that kind of vitriol having zero effect on gray cat.
> the Mike bits.
What the frick is this? What is Lucy? What is in this b***h's head?
>He's judging you!
No, Lucy, that's you.
>He'd rather talk to some cheating girlfriend instead of the friends that tolerate him!
His friends shit on him more often than not. We went through more than 5 years of this real time and taeshi had to turn him into a sperg to give them a reason. If this were a better writer, it could be taken as Lucy projecting onto him. But with this comic, I doubt that
How does Taeshi expect this damn ship to work if she's planning it as end game?
This is what Lucy wants--no, NEEDS to think of Mike if she's to maintain her self-respect and keep herself emotionally distant. She has to villainize him, see him as this pathetic little worm demon who does not deserve an ounce of sympathy. Because look what happened last time she felt sorry for him. It wasn't because she's inherently thirsty for gray wiener, oh no, it's because he's manipulative and evil. Similarly, she was not in the wrong for repeatedly using and hurting Paulo. He's just a whiny b***h who cries about everything so it can't be helped.
Well if she had to fess up to reality she'd have to admit she's kookoo bananas. I don't think Lucy's made one rational decision in the entire comic.
She did make one selfless-ish decision back in December, when she finally decided to let Mike go romantically so he could be happy with Sandy. After that backfired, she ended up back in delusional turbob***h mode.
Friendship is never enough for Paulo, he either wants sex (Lucy, Daisy, Mike, James), or he wants to sponge off you (David, Mike) or his broken BPD brain sees you as an extension of himself (Abbey, Matt). If you can't do any of that for him he's going to devalue and discard you.
>/bcb/ discussion peaked when it looked like the ossified status quo was finally going to change
Coincidentally, so did Tae and Suit's Patreon earnings
Augustus is very lucky that Lucy can use Mike as a remote punching bag instead of him. Scarf boy being so pathetic and easy to bully in real life surely helps.
For years I've always thought the natural conclusion for the two would be Mike facing a similar implosion with Lucy seeing all the same signs and behaviors she went through before she jumped, and trying to decide between talking him down or telling him to do a fricking backflip
So long as Lucy is not talking down to him I would be fine with that conflict. It would mean Lucy has to fight her worst inner aspects or succumb to them and regret it forever.
I propose a solution.
That would at least be interesting.
At some point all the characters stopped having their own unique personalities and just have Taeshi's BPD copy and pasted on all of them.
It's SOOO fricking boring when everyone is the same level of emotionally stunted tantrums and petty monologues. Then wildly shift in emotion whenever for whatever reason.
The characters at least have different flavors of her BPD. Lucy is Taeshi as she would like to see herself, Paulo is a whinier version of that who actually has to face consequences. Daisy is the backbiting jealous faux-wholesome aspect while Mike is the depressive one. All are out of character but their old personalities still inform which piece of the insanity pie they've been served.
And Abbey is just there.
Is there any more WIP bcb comic images? I'm trying to make a fan comic but I've never done a faux-anime-furry-artstyle-thing before so practicing it has been hard and also slightly embarrassing.
>And Abbey is just there
Abbey is a cranky conservative punching bag. If Taeshi injected any of herself, it would be the self-righteousness and violent anger.
Almost like Taeshi doesn't like Abbey.
Im sure WIPs are floating around but Taeshi's artstyle is insanely simple, just draw your typical round anime head +eyes, give them the most basic designs and viola. You have her awful artstyle.
Anyways, I recall some of these r63 comic edits and how hated the comid would be if the genders were reversed.
Short king.
Is it time to post "it's ok when female does it"?
I swear fem Mike fills the "telenovela fem protag" role better than Lucy die to how much life fricks her over
Looks better at suffering too
Fem Mike does things to me.
I wonder how Taeshi would justify this if things were flipped.
BUT HEY - Lucy is shit, no matter what gender she is.
I know that Mika and Paula seems to be /bcb/'s go-to Rule 63 waifus...but honestly, you guys seem to be overlooking the potential of Jordyn/Fem!Jordan
>presumably Cinemaphile body, since she's on the (varsity?) basketball team
>cool (and even pretty/cute) heterochromatic eyes (assuming that it's not exclusive to the males of the Whitecat family)
>pleasant and genuine personality, which makes for a great life partner
>tomboy, without going too much into butch/pooner territory
>HUGE romantic, would gladly keep dating you (and only you) for the long-term
>easily smitten by even the slightest amount of coolness you show her
>would do everything in her power to try and impress you (gifts, attention, looking nice, etc)
>her parents would be supportive, even encouraging, of your relationship
The only REAL issues I could see here is that she would be pretty dumb (and not JUST in the cute way either), and that you'll have to deal with her siblings that probably wouldn't like you much (be it a pissy younger brother or distant older sister) too (not to mention that she probably won't know how to be REALLY cool herself, which could make her come off as a dork)...but these are small/manageable ones that shouldn't complicate things TOO much (especially when compared to other girls like a b***hy Paula or a short-tempered Abby)
I'd certainly go with her if you ask me...
Sorry dude heterochromia is a male cat only thing.
>will reject guys who like her for bastards who take advantage of her
Hopeless.
Bros i love Danny so much
If Lucy was male, the shittiness of their character would remain the same. They just wouldn't have as many, in fact by this point they'd have nobody batting for them.
Everyone would feel bad for Michelle and Paula.
I'd raw female gus tho
Don't forget to massively inflate their heads and make their fingers disgusting noodle things.
> draw your typical round anime head +eyes
Eh I would just like them because it is completely different than how I've normally approached stuff from ages ago. Though I guess it's good observation and copying practice if I work from the end point rather than cheating and getting the WIP skeletons.
Was there ever any male on female violence in the comic? Can't remember and don't want to scour.
thanks.
>Was there ever any male on female violence in the comic? Can't remember and don't want to scour.
Well there was Confrontation and that was depicted as very very bad.
Oh a-doy, can't believe I forgot about the evil background villain that hasn't really done anything to the main cast.
He did traumatize Lucy and is probably the one thing she fears beyond water and Mike's seductive wiles, so that's a plus.
They used to hype up him coming back, but honestly just telling an adult would probably take care of him
literally just one of them after confrontation could've told an adult and alejandro would've been taken care of
can't get the reasoning as to why that didn't happen, couldn't it have been written where he's able to blackmail them or threaten them into staying quite?
I get taeshi needs her drama but alejandro could have been written to be an actually intimidating character instead of a weird loser who's struggling to plan his revenge against a bunch of children
It's ok Alejandro has a new writer.
She wrote Confrontation forever ago so despite revisions the plot still has basic logic problems. Though none of them are beyond fixing by a moderately competent writer.
>kids get mugged
>Mike and Lucy noticeably beaten up
>only happened because they made one dumb mistake after another
>telling their parents the truth would risk their freedom so they keep the details secret
>>kids get mugged
>>Mike and Lucy noticeably beaten up
>>only happened because they made one dumb mistake after another
their parents the truth would risk their freedom so they keep the details secret
To be fair, Mike and Lucy beating each other up was not a rare sight. They were a very abusive couple of kids, but their parents thought it was cute (and shipped them, which didn't help). Plus, they only made one mistake, which was to get on the wrong train, from there they tried to get back as quick as possible. Mike was drugged, and his friends weren't going to leave him behind on his own in an alley somewhere.
I think it's not that far a stretch that neither Mike nor Lucy would tell their parents because they got up to all kinds of stupid shit together (like "almost drowning") so this didn't stand out that much. Daisy would probably be too ashamed she wasn't the perfect little daughter because of her self esteem issues.
I don't know why Sue didn't tell her mom the truth. Maybe she did when they got home and her parents just forgot about it. She is a little forgettable, and prone to exaggeration. Maybe it was because she thinks of herself as the "smart friend" that should've prevented this in the first place?
As for Paulo, he wouldn't be able to accept being beaten up, he's too macho for that.
Their second mistake was going into a seedy bar. The third and fourth were solidly Mike whereas the group could have just coughed up the money afterward instead of escalating things. Overall the whole experience proved the group's collective lack of good judgement.
i mean they were literally children
Literally children who were trusted to get on a train, by themselves, with no chaperone. If one of them almost getting raped was the result, I don't think their parents could be expected to stay in the free range camp.
1. they were 11-12
2. mike was drugged
>1. they were 11-12
They're all fifteen now, right? If so then it's super pathetic that he's held a grudge for all these years.
Sixteen, and yes. It is pathetic. Can't even figure out how to assault some freshmen (with pretty much only Mike being useful in a fight) without Augustus doing the thinking for him.
Letting 11 to 12 year olds ride a train by themselves is incredibly stupid and it's in the kids' best interests not to prove that to their idiot parents.
They're 12, not 3, and they were in a group. Plus, they live in the uppity rich neighborhood of Roseville and probably went downtown where there are lots of people around.
In what third world country do you live that kids can't safely use public transport on their own to get to a museum?
The kind where they can end up in the slums with one bad stop, apparently. And if they could be so trusted, then why did they keep making stupid mistake after mistake once they got there?
I don't get why he doesn't just follow them around after school. How hard can it be to rough up a bunch of teenagers.
I guess he thinks Lucy is gone so he doesn't care anymore? Maybe Augustus convinced him to lay off so he could have Daisy to himself?
Yeah, without Lucy he's got very little motivation. There's Green Eyes but eh, they're a package deal. Alejandro would have to get annoyed at doing his own shoplifting and go track down Augustus since he knows where the kid goes to school. Seeing him hanging out with white cat of all people should get him in full stalker mode.
The only reason I can think of for not doing that is Lucy fearing that he'll be connected with Augustus and get boy toy thrown out. Which seems pretty dumb given how immediately and thoroughly he's integrated with the family.
>male on female violence in the comic
Alejandro in Confrontation and Augustus' flashback chapter, and a little bit from those guys who were messing with Tess and got the shit beaten out of them by Abbey. Nothing real in a long time, it'd spook the patreons.
The Patreon has a bunch of them, and you can watch Taeshi draw the characters during draw streams
It's okay because everybody knows only girls can be raped
I can hook you up with the wips from the last 3 streams IF you promise me to draw wholesome mikexamaya :3
I hope you draw totally non-lewd, family friendly comics, anon.
Thank you.
I was mainly gonna do parody, but I looked at the Candybooru and I was honestly suprised there was so little.
>taeshi consciously made paulo even taller before coloring it in
lmaooo
Some characters grow, some don't.
Thanks again! I'll try to have the comic or at least the splash page mwahahaha (and Mike x Amaya stuff) out by the next page update.
In fairness to taeshi, fudging heights is extremely common in comics/cartoons for the sake of blocking and composition.
In fairness to everyone else though, taeshi sucks at blocking and composition too.
Thanks for doing my shitty edit for me
It's the only enjoyment I get out of this comic anymore...
At least Paulo is being consistently awful
Still waiting with excitement for the next 'It is Forbidden!' chapter
Who has the edits with Jessica and Rachel as guys?
oh yeah forgot that jessica basically raped a guy and nobody took it seriously because she's a girl
You can't convince me that Rachel didn't slip Paulo something in January. Runs into her on the street and then BAM! next thing he knows he's in her bed and he has no memory of what just happened.
possible, though with rachel we have seen that she does genuinely care and respect the guy, jessica on the otherhand gives me cold abuser vibes (so basically the average lesbian)
I think this is just a misunderstanding from Taeshi's shit storytelling. I don't think Paulo actually had amnesia, he was just groggy and confused waking up in a different place to make the reveal he slept with Rachel look more dramatic. Less "I don't remember how I got here" and more "wait why am I not in my bedroom- oh shit right"
Of all the things I see regularly posted on Cinemaphile this shit is the weirdest
At least the Paw Patrol weirdos seem to like their weird baby shit. You guys just post your naked furry children relationship drama comic and b***h about it being terrible
>/BCB/ so desperate for MxL to be canon they resort to acting like Paulo is the word of God
Lol
>one anon is /bcb/ because i really want to sound smart
hey isn't this the comic by Markiplier's brother
Different naked furry comic.
reminder david is the best character and if he was genderswapped hed be futadtjmwp
We really need another kidnapping or mugging attempt on a character chapter
Don’t care with what victim but something to break the monotonous status quo of this love drama shit that goes nowhere the past half decade
Or an outing someplace else, a meaningful change of scenery.
I’d be down for something lighthearted, like a winter break vacation with some of the minor characters and maybe one of the more prominent, problem is I can’t imagine it being written without love melodrama arcs being included and it just being the same chapter we’ve been getting for 5 years but at some Florida resort instead of the local park
"Jasmine takes Abbey to church" could be a fun, low-stakes chapter.
Last vacation break had Paulo go into bi crisis mode because of Matt and Madison, which he still hasn't fully accepted.
Who says they get a choice?
God I hate Polo’s bi arc and the level of whining, crying, and shittiness towards others he keeps pulling because he wants to be wienered. Maybe because I’m bi myself and he just looks like a shitty and unrealistic person
Matt is far better rep because he’s chill and nice, accepting of himself and only has breakdowns over being gay when it makes sense (like when he realizes his homosexual crush can never actually happen because his friend is straight) and not begging every guy he sees to frick him
That's really the issue, isn't it? Every one of these cats is already miserable and resentful, so their interpersonal drama has no weight.
We never see them happy and friendly, so there's nothing at stake when they're unhappy and shouting at each other.
What, are they gonna be even sadder and more resentful? So what? Even if it escalates all the way to a suicide attempt, we know from Lucy that that's not gonna stick either.
The obvious thing for Taeshi to do is focus on the neglected friendships. Daisy and Mike was such a good interaction overall that it begs the question as to why two longtime friends never talk one on one. Lots of story potential has built up between the infrequent pairings.
>blows whistle
>Alejandro rushes over
>Toby, do you hear that? It's the rape-signal!
>Quick, to the van!
He's not even sitting in the chair Taeshi what is this pose
He is but the perspective of the chair itself is all wrong. It's just a sketch she made like 15 years ago, who cares.
Been too long since we've gotten any official bcb art of Alejandro for reference.
One of the few pics that confirms he has scars from his encounter with Lucy.
Half of the main cast actively do not want to go to new places or do things with the group.
Imagine that, out of nowhere, halfway through a "drama cats crying" chapter. A van pulls up, a character gets pulled in, and the comic needs to deal. It would certainly shake things up.
Where would you take these characters, anon? We've had the school gym, Burgertron, the mall, the arcade, the tree Mike and Lucy used to sit under, the cinema, and a bunch of other places around school. Plenty of variety, I don't think that's the biggest problem.
Someplace outside the city. The vacation arc forced some shake-ups thanks to the geography alone.
You're not suffering for choices either Paulo, you had two girlfriends you tossed for Lucy. If you actually tried to find love instead of sulking in your shell you could find it.
Is there a place i can read these so-called BCIs?
Last thread had a link to a zip file that contained most of them, check tbharchive
it's gone, the file was removed
damn, i hope someone posts it again, even if it gets taken down later.
https://gofile.io/d/pg1pMc
Gofiles uploads don't stay up forever. I don't have Molly's Big Adventure or the one where Lucy pees on Mike's scarf if anyone wants to contribute.
Holy shit when is this comic going to end??
When something big happens in Taeshi's life, presumably. It keeps going round in circles because status quo is king IRL for her as well.
Lucy is Taeshi but her getting with Mike is a symbolic story of her inner homophobia that branches out into acceptance
Mike = Dyke
So anyway, I drew yellow doggo so much that I completely neglected best monochrome doggo. Enjoy this cute pic, and also a different kind of pic with Rachel finally getting her 100% on "scoring all cat boys" on bcbnsfw booru
Very cool anon. Always nice to have actual artistic talent associated with this awful comic.
Well done anon very cute
This is the party she deserved, but instead she got rebound dick from a blackout drunk Somali cat boy, tragic
She liked the somali dick. He's the one that broke things up, not her.
Lucy's fat ass
ToT
blog?
Man there are so many good rule 63 edits, i hope we get more from talented anons soon
Do we have a gender reverse of this page?
looky here.
Is this comic just furry romantic relationship drama? Soap opera level or teenager level?
I've seen these threads for years but dont really know the comics.
Yes and teenager level. Nothing high stakes for about 10 years now. 2/10 would not recommend.
It starts out okay, gets it claws into you, steadily drops in quality, then plummets to rock bottom. It is a sunk cost fallacy trap.
Extremely accurate take
It's been 2 days someone can leak what happens on the next page now
Mike remembers that Daisy is in love with Paulo, but decides not to tell him as a joke
I have to imagine that Mike brushed the idea off as too weird after James brought it up. Because the possibility did not seem to register to him back at the park.
I hate this comic so much just make them all gay already
The worst part is Mike might be the most blatant queerbait of all time
She tries teasing it over a long time yet never allows her boytoy to be even confirmed as a little gay
His inexplicable white cat-exclusive heterosexuality is perhaps the best ongoing evidence for the unfortunate Mike x Lucy endgame.
>white cat-exclusive heterosexuality
He's open to boy love, but he has a model for a girlfriend, the hot, crazy white cat is obsessed with him, and when he's done with those two, he has Stacy and Daisy ready to throw themselves at him.
His problem is that he doesn't have the courage to take what he wants from life.
Supposedly Daisy is over him and I would not be surprised if Taeshi fiated Stacy because she simply makes too much sense.
>His problem is that he doesn't have the courage
Send him to USMC boot camp maybe that will give him some
Mike needs some Jordan boypussy, he even isn't too much different from Lucy.
Convince Jordan to grow his hair out and you can have sex with two Lucys at the same time!
Even closer are Mike and Haley, take off Mike's scarf and add a little hair clip, and you have two Haleys at your disposal.
Jordan being a little b***h would do that if pressured.
Jordan hates Mike.
Jordan loves his sister more then he hates Mike so he’d grow out his hair and sacrifice his ass if it meant keeping Mike away from her
Naw he'd try and fail to beat Mike up. Or succeed, depending on how pathetic gray cat is at the time.
Would you?
Give them back their normal accessories. White pears would not stand out against Lucy's white fur very well but would fit annoying fat tsundere girlboss Daisy very well. Also that means actually desirable Lucy would look cuter with her bow.
>Preppy Lucy
yes
>Smug Daisy
She already gets like this when she thinks she has been wronged. No.
Either way, Mike's dick can end up his bussy.
hi i just opened Cinemaphile for the first time and found this comic after 5 minutes browsing. i really like the artstyle do you guys have any other comics similar to this that you guys can suggest i would really be grateful. also btw why is Cinemaphile normal, i expected it to be 10 times worse than discord
>also btw why is Cinemaphile normal, i expected it to be 10 times worse than discord
Because newbie we have nothing to gain or hide here

Do you just mean artstyle? While liking an artstyle is a good reason to start reading a webcomic there's no guarantee that you'll like it, so it's not easy to give recommendations based on it
run before you become a regular
to be honest, I decided to read BCB because I liked the artstyle. what else was I going to judge it after? after moronic Cinemaphilener rants because their ship won't happen?
I was a fool and got into BCB because it was the only non-superhero comic I saw posted on here that didn't automatically begin with "terrible" like that other one.
RUN RUN FAR AWAY!!!
Yeah that's what happened to me.
