One of the big problems with PauloxDaisy is that much of the "build-up" is completely explained by the backstory of them being friends for half their lives. Showing and interest or kindness to your oldest friend doesn't mean shit re: dicks in holes.
From a narrative perspective, it's transparent pride month pandering, sloppily executed, with Taeshi openly projecting as if highjacking her characters like a fricking Reaper from Mass Effect was a perfectly fine thing to do. All of this in service to the fact that Paulo and Daisy have less chemistry between them than oil and water. Obnoxious enough to kill the will to live.

I'd be surprised if Daisy's "bisexuality" is ever even mentioned again after this chapter, since she just seems to be acting as a voice piece for Taeshi to express her own feelings about sexuality. It's just lazy pandering without commitment

Actually, now that I'm looking at the calendar, I think I understand. This scene took up around 8 or 9 of the 13 Pride Month updates. Things are a bit fuzzy, but there were about one or two updates before the bisexuality theme became obvious, and there are three coming up after. I guess to make the updates land at the right time, Tae pretty much had to plop this down in the middle of what's otherwise a Mike chapter.
Be fair to the patreon headcanonists, painting Sandy like some kind of uncaring villain goes straight against her depiction earlier in the comic and not everybody reads these cringy threads or the cringier Discord posts
