That is not big problem. Problem is if you do it 5 episodes before end of the show. Without Howard and Lalo there is nothing left. And if they realy replaced Jeff actor, i won't even watch it anymore.

What should have happened was that Jimmy and Kimmy's stupid fricking plan should have failed, and the Howard should have said to them "I am filing for a restraining order, do not ever come near HHM or contact any of our employees ever again." And then Jimmy throws Kim under the bus for the crime and she goes to prison.

The killings were done behind closed doors. Tony kills that guy in College but its tucked away and no one is around. They hire the blacks to do shootings too, so it doesn't go back to them. Worst thing was probably in the pilot, when Tony and Chris run that guy over and beat him up with witnesses around. That's pilot issues though.

I only remember two heart attacks and the one you're talking about is for a guy who was ratting for years.

                Paulie one is fair.

Again, errors, contrivances etc. are to be expected but BCS goes above and beyond.

                Anonymous

To be fair to the other anon, Season 1 was a lot more sloppy about this sort of stuff, they're a little too open about more of their crimes. You could argue that it kinda works with some of the themes of the show, where Tony decides he needs to insulate himself more. But it was mostly just sloppy writing for the first season of a show nobody was expecting to be a big hit.

Daylight killings continue to happen throughout the whole series, but they (usually) have a little more thought put into the context (eg. done by hired goons, done out of the way of public eye, etc).

I can't think of a single show, except maybe Lost, which requires the audience to turn off their brain as much as BB/BCS. For a character written drama, even questioning a little about why certain characters don't act logically absolutely breaks the plot in several regards

Contrivances and coincidences are fine in small doses, often they are needed to create surprise, drama, stakes. This show takes the piss.

Someone posted yesterday that the BB/BCS writing depends on convenience and contrivances and doesn't stand up to even the most basic questioning/scrutiny. Honestly a bit fricky.

Not at all. It just seems a little rich getting rid of Lalo in such a black and white way, especially when Gus has been written as the kind of person who draws out his revenge. Thought for sure the twist was going to be that Gus keeps Lalo alive until the BB timeline (ie that story about the animal he kept alive to make it suffer). It's just a little anticlimactic

I think the guilt gets to Gene and there's some kind of exchange with Mike where Mike gives a sealed letter or some shit with the location of Howard's body in the event that the guilt drives him mad. Something about the parallels between the Good Samaritan, Howard, and Hank/Homies bodies all has to thematically link together imo I'm just not sure how. There's an underlying current of innocent people getting proper closure in BCS and BB, I think Gene/Saul/Mike is going to have some reason to disclose, even anonymously, where Howard's body is.

    >lydia gets poisoned & presumably dies offscreen
    >jesse gets freed and lives happily ever after (all alone because the only people he's cared about are dead)
    >walt finds a way to get his money to his family at no risk
    >gets some measure of acceptance from his wife & helps her make a deal with the feds

When Lalo recognised that Howard was in the room/a threat to him since he'd seen him he took far longer than "3 seconds" to shoot him. That's the lie. He also shot at Gus instantly when he realised he was a threat, prior to that he didn't. Why didn't he think Gus was a threat? Because he'd just shot 4 of his men and completely patted down Gus for any weapons and fully determined he had none. It doesn't require someone to suspend belief to believe that Lalo was confident and comfortable in that moment.

You typed all the shite as if to prove it took ages out but it took literally 1 SECOND for Lalo shoot from when Gus moved to kick the cord. ONE SECOND.

Easier to control him through Mike than to account for whatever butterfly effect bullshit can happen from him disappearing. Gus offed Lalo and Jimmy represented him once so there's a direct connection.

Based on Lyle's scene, the whole EP should takes place around 4 - 5 am.
Jimmy's apartment is in a suburban area, which should be quite awake at 4-5 am because wagies(like Lyle) are getting ready for commute.
Instead, it's dead silence all the way through.

The Lyle scene happens later in the night. Jimmy and Kim are watching a late night film, which typically start at 9-10pm going by previous episodes where Jimmy reads the schedule, and given they had work in the morning it couldn't have been later than 11pm when Howard turns up. They'd also had a couple of glasses of wine. Lalo turned up shortly after and the whole episode takes place from this time frame for about 45 mins or so until the Lyle scene, which looks like 6am or so.

Lyle was speaking with Fring on the phone. Fring was under a doctor's knife. I don't think Fring waited hours to get his wound operated.

this is how I would have done it:
    >Lalo gets inside the lab with gus
    >Gust turns out the light and escapes in the dark ( he should have seen practicing it instead of planting the gun )
    >Gust closes the lab door and turns out the power, trapping Lalo inside
    >Next day throw a bunch of rats in the laundry and make all workers go to home because there is a plague of rats
    >Vamonos pest is seen arriving at the laundry cleaning the rat situation
    >Lalo literally dies of starvation trapped inside the lab recording footage of his last minutes
    >gus keeps the recording to watch it with a smile in his face

Lalo basically was an anime goon. His importance as a character was solely in how he affected other characters, namely Kim and Jimmy. He served his purpose, and then he got the ending he deserved.

Personally, I expected a little more being a Smith/Gilligan episode like Bagman. I knew 5 secs after Kim walked up to Gus' home that Mike would pull her away. Not to mention the shootout in the end, it was all set up prior so if you were paying attention it only feels slightly predictable.

But honestly, I prefer this to the 4D chess move anticlimactic bullshit that happens in BrBa. Don't think they need to waste time being super clever for redditors to dissect each frame, just give us Kim and Jim straight for the last batch of episodes.

        Anonymous

It was definitely predictable, but I'd rather have that than subversion for the sake of it. I'm not sure how else they could've resolved this without getting stupid. Lalo needed to die for the story to move on.

                >would give
he's dead, so the whole thing is unnecessary as stated and your point is moot
                not that
                >IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN
was ever a good way to go about scriptwriting, but i'm leaving your moronation aside
this show is nonsensical to the extreme and basically worse than marvel capeshit at this point, it's very sad that you guys have your ego wrapped in thinking it's so high iq when it's actually really dumb

Not really, bring better bait for the next thread bro.

it's nonsensical because it makes no sense and because the justification you gave for moronic writing has nothing to do with why it was bad

As a rather paranoid man, I get him, I hide weapons all around my house and garden.

Yeah but that's at your own home. Gus probably has another 6 shooter under the fryer at Los Pollos Hermanos.

To be fair, Gus owns those things, so he might consdier them home.
