no i'm not a redditor so i don't watch tv shows that have headsets in them
Is there a website that has headset warnings so I know to avoid?
>be carpenter
>watch TV show with joints
>the joints are all wrong
kills immersion
My profession is niche enough to where I have literally never seen a TV show or movie mention what I do but there's enough of us such that I get paid to go to nice hotels in big cities for conferences and shit.
what is it
I'm guessing hitman.
there's never been a TV show or movie that mentions hitmans?
Male prostitute (I only take BBC clients)
nta but I'm a "Financial Aid Officer" and am in a similar boat
its a weird gig because you don't need a specific degree to get into it but they also expect you to be proficient at bookkeeping, interpreting contracts/federal regulation, taxation, and counseling students. And you get none of the prestige of being someone who specializes in any of those areas for a living.
don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to
Watching old action films hurts my soul because for some reason they just started hip firing in the 1980's.
>be machinist

One thats always obvious and egregious is CPR
You can't do it the real way as you'd hurt someone so it just looks idiotic
so you're like the black guy from Hunt for Red October?
oh the thread topic
I'm a mechanic and a motorsports fan
car classics like HB Hilicki or Hal Needham flicks are pure kino
I couldn't even watch Ford vs Ferarri because there were so many inaccuracies
I used to with guns and cars, but I stopped being a gay devoid of fun and realized its a movie
I don't even own guns but CGI gunfire looks ridiculous and almost always ruins a film. The actors may as well be shaking guns at each other and yelling "pew pew pew". You can't unsee it.
>be warehouse worker
>watching Star Trek DS9
>can't unsee that the walls of the infirmary are the same plastic pallets we use
>work with radios and communications in austere environments
>it’s actually really hard to get voice and data out in places with no infrastructure
>characters can have crystal clear conversations to people around the world with just a motorola radio and you can stream video anywhere you need anytime it’s convenient
It’s not something you’d otherwise notice or care about, and too be honest it’s not that immersion breaking, but it is funny.
this was actually a big plot point in the Congo book
that's why they were going to the lost city, to get rare diamonds that were used in semiconductors
a lot of pages were spent explaining how they do the satellite uplink and early VOIP and all that stuff
they just ignored that subplot and focused on the apes for the movie
>Watch the horrific way actors hold their guns in Walking Dead
>Observe the infinite ammo magazines they shoot off without any concern or accuracy
>Notice them instantly gripe about conserving ammo and getting themselves needlessly killed over their conservation in an episode or two later
>Have a big shit-eating grin whenever I rewatch Collateral and look at the beauty of Tom Cruise's form
>Video game writer
>Play video game
>See exactly where they cut corners and why
>Always annoyed to see when they didn't cut corners we do have to cut
>Be an HVAC Contractor
>The ducts are always massive, always shiny and clean with no dirt or grime
>See characters just crawling around in air ducts and them not collapsing under the weight
>The ductwork is also all wrong
>Be veteran NCO
>Watch TV show or movie involving military
>Nobody ever does any paperwork
