I don't like any of the new characters, the special investigators are all shit, I liked the black detective (who makes a cameo) from last season, so far this season is worse in terms of characters. I didn't like the white cop lady from last season too much because she was complaining about reacher looking out for her too much and that got annoying and ruined that character. It would probably be better if he didn't have the other special investigators but you can see why they needed them, doesn't make the season any better.

Yeah he was a more interesting character, I also think the new white woman is more annoying than the white lady from last season. So far they are just kind of hollow characters, it is only 4/8, but so far I hate the special investigators. I also liked the setting from season 1 better.

Reacher is a violent misanthropic drifter with unresolved trauma, in the books there was always the underlying subtext that he was a few steps away from becoming the BTK killer. None of that in the show because that's too complex and thought provoking for streamslop

I don't like how they skipped like 10 books. I understand that they didn't want Season 1 and 2 being too similar, so they picked a book that focused more on Reacher, not a random incident in a random town. But I think the impact of Reachers friends being killed off would be way more impactful with a few seasons worth of build-up
