I always thought the end was adorable. Scorpion had a signed autograph from Johnny Cage. Shows he only wanted to fight Johnny because he was a fan the entire time. That was a good touch. Scorpion during his off hours was probably defending Johnny Cage on the internet saying he was not a "fake martial artist"
A small fun movie that sets a small bar for itself and successfully deals with it. No convoluted storyline, no twists, no pandaring, just a simple story with simple but charming characters. I like it.
Frick off zoomer, I'm being honest when I say that Mortal Kombat 1995 is the best video-game movie of all time. I also deeply love that Orbital track at the end of the movie.
>Christopher Lambert contributed significantly to the film, both in terms of production and finances. The budget was very tight and stretched so thin by the shoot that the production couldn't afford to fly Lambert to Thailand and provide room and board, thus Lambert's shooting was to be done in an LA studio after principal photography, with Raiden only to appear in the opening of the film. Lambert however offered to pay for his own entire trip if it meant the producers could add more Raiden scenes as they had intended. On top of this, the budget was so maxed by the end of the shoot that the producers couldn't afford a wrap party. Lambert paid for an extravagant wrap party for the cast and crew out of his own pocket.
well if you want me to be honest it was great
It sure was
It wasn't good, but it was iconic
It ends poorly, but up to that point it's a decently fun action movie and utilizes the characters better than the games ever have.
>It ends poorly
The ending is literally cinematic perfection.
Along with the Matrix and Hackers MK is pure 90s kino for me. It is a guilty pleasure, but there is so much sovl in it.

Guilty pleasures are for cucks, it's just a pleasure for me without any guilt. It's one of the most kino movies of the 90s, in my opinion.
define kino
Fear Factory soundtrack tips it over the edge

that MK logo looks like a brownie
I've always thought so too. It looks so much like a brownie that I can't understand what they were actually going for
Not just a brownie but a delicious one. I want to break off a piece and eat it
I just rewatched it for the first time in years last week, still holds up in my opinion.

Too bad it never had a sequel.
I think there was an awful one called MK Annihilation
No there wasn't.
you can't deny it out of existence, no matter how bad you might want to
%3D
Dead link is dead.
you're a LIAR
Nice use of mspaint
Let us never speak of Annihilation, except for right now.
As a kid I thought Sonya in Annihilation was way hotter.
Be honest... you only take your opinions for terrible Youtube reaction videos that you jack off to. Don't you, OP?

Why would I watch a shitty boomer video game movie?
Orbital track is amazing, I'll give it that
ZOOM ZOOM
It's better than the new one.
Me and my gf (female) loved the 2021 movie
Will we like this?
No, you're both zoomers.
Oof. SEETHING incels
Probably not, it sounds like you both have shit taste.
Its only flaw is a lack of blood
Be honest, OP...
You're a troony.
Be honest, moron...
You support paedophiles and Donald Trump
It was better than Jurassic Park
It's not important that a movie be good. It's important that a movie be entertaining. And Mortal Kombat was really fricking entertaining.
It is an entertaining movie that still holds a special place in my heart.
