The attendants really freak out when you step out of your car. I didn't know at the time, but I figured they'd just roll their eyes and mutter >tourists
>Be in Australia >Spend $4500 dollary-doos to fix a head gasket >They take your engine apart and put it back together >Do it wrong >Have to do it again >Takes a month to get car back >They also get a speeding fine in my name while they have my car >Two months later (now) >Car overheats and is leaking coolant again (the original problem) >Won't give me a replacement car while they "try to find the problem"
Can you not sue them for using your car as their personal vehicle while telling you its not fixxed? In america you could take their enire business, israelite lawyers would be lining up to take that case
They were testing it when they got the speeding fine. I'll probably have to take legal action if they don't make due on their warranty. But I'm fricking poor and, even if I could afford it that shit can take years to resolve and I'm not going to have a car.
Oh with a case like that with obvious misuse of your vehicle there would be lawyers that work for free but take a % of the winnings because its so clear. But mostly it would just go to small claims if you just wanted to make sure they paid their due for the inconvenience to you, which no lawyer is used.
that sucks, car trouble is legit the greatest stress of my day to day life, seems like everytime I get some money saved its either insurance payments or car repairs. Wouldn't trade it for public transport though not a chance
You're telling me. My work commute has changed from 10 minutes into 60. I also can't go to my mother's to give insulin to one of her diabetic cats while she's working. Nevermind that I'm just sitting around waiting for the mechanic to call me. When i got my car back last time he told me any further problems related would be covered for cost, but you just know these useless fricks are going to make up some bullshit new problem they expect me to pay for, deliberately break something to make me pay for or tell me my car is fricked and keep the 4.5k I just spent to have them fix it previously. I am massively stressed out.
its tough trusting mechanics, I'm fortunate that I use the same mechanic my dad used for near 20 years and so they know me but we're well aware at this point that they price gouge us but for that they're very honest and not quick to add on charges, sometimes I get free check ups depending on the issues
Yeah my family has been going to the same mechanic for like 40 years now. Im ganna be fricked when that guy kicks it but somehow his mother is still alive and runs the books and she looks like the crypt keeper so maybe he will outlive me somehow
>went to an auto repair shop >they didn't fix the problem >go there again and expect them to succeed after they fricked you the first time
There's your problem anon, find a new auto repair shop
I have no choice but the bring it to them. The warranty for the $4500 is with them. Believe me, I would have loved to go literally anywhere else. Including the mechanic who fricked me before I went to them.

Get an ebike
I use mine more than my car
The best part is cyclists inexplicably hate them
I was in NJ one time and pumped my own gas but there was a disclaimer and some moronic like 20 gallon limit so maybe there's a loophole. it was a racetrac gas station
i live in eugene, OR and theres a gas station here thats almost always the cheapest or 2nd cheapest and they actually let us pump our own gas if we want, after my road trip I had acquired a taste for it so now I pump my car exclusively and it feels good everytime
I live in new england and the only full service gas stations left are independent auto shops. "full service" meaning they pump it, and if your a chick or a gay they might check your oil/tires for you on request. The only charge is its about 20% higher than normal gas prices.
that saved my ass during lock downs. I had to pay cash everywhere so the credit companies didn't know i was leaving the state. NJ was the perfect half way point to DC, just paid the attendent in cash no hassle
>land of the “““““free”””””
>be can

Apparently it's literally illegal and they can be hit with huge fines for letting you pump your own gas.
I was almost assaulted in New Jersey for trying to pump myself
don't pump yourself in public, pervert

Infuriating.
>be down under
>still get bent over
yeah but australians deserve that shit
>They also get a speeding fine in my name while they have my car
Please tell me you were able to dispute it easily. Australia isn't THAT shit, is it?
Yes, it was put in their name.
Good, you had me worried.

Boy do I have some good news for you?
that the law just changed? I heard that but I've been pumping my own for about a year at this place

Leaving the state lowers your credit?
>NEET doesn't know what lockdown is because he never had to go anywhere or do anything
I never had to leave the state. Can you just answer the question, moron?
>ESL thinks he's better than a NEET
why would there be a hassle buying gas literally anywhere then if you had to use cash
I can pump my own petrol and then pay in cash everywhere I go.
is that real
frick that shit
