Kinda, they rarely do anything blatantly offensive or shitty outside of the one episode where they egged the house. Most episodes involve them being really stupid and not understanding something really basic or they come across some confused adults who think they are just good natured kids. And half the episodes are about middle aged Beavis and Butthead being dumb jobless losers.
Metal and rock are nowhere close to mainstream, so not many viewers would get the comments or jokes. Sadly, popular music is essentially that nignog trap shit by xxxm@nkecyon ft. 36dindu$ that kids are consuming on nigtok.
Even some bartenders get all pissy when you play certain rock/metal bands on the jukebox now. What the frick happened? Not everyone wants to listen to rap.
The classic era of Beavis and Butthead focused on a very specific era of mtv/rock music. When they did that reboot in the 2000s they commented on modern pop music and it was…alright. They gave up on the music aspect now and focused on the premise of Beavis and Butthead interacting with the rest of the world. In my opinion, it makes it feel like they’re older…the worlds moved on and gotten sick of them but Beavis and Butthead never change even. The naivety and innocence of their childhood is gone and the worlds a little darker and grimmer. Very different but I enjoy watching it
I feel like the Beavis and butthead thing just doesn't really work anymore. The dumb troublemaking metalhead slackers in Metallica shirts who watch Mtv all day thing is very long dead. It's not cool or trendy to be a dumb slacker any longer, that was decades ago.
They seem weird and out of place because they are out of place. They do not resemble low class American youth any longer, no teens act like them. It's like the bus driver from Simpsons, he was a relevant joke on a group in America in the early 90s, but not really anymore.
>The classic era of Beavis and Butthead focused on a very specific era of mtv/rock music.
Yes and no. In addition to the focus on the music of their own era, they had a lot of 80s music videos that wouldn't have been likely to be still in rotation on MTV much by the 90s, and B&B would be brutal towards 99% of them because it was an MTV show and you were supposed to like the music of the present, not old stuff. People tend to oversimplify this as B&B ripping on 80s hair metal bands, but it was actually pretty much any 80s acts at all getting similar treatment.
>Love is a Battlefield video >Butthead: Oh no she's running away and she's only thirty
Alot of those snippets have stuck with me over the years and still make me laughs.
Music played with a guitar is either some 5th rate minor nobody not worth commenting on, or some aging boomer from the early 00s still trying to be relevant and it's pathetic.
>any new rock/metal bands
Like what lmao
Punk and metal got stolen by black people so Playboy Carti can have mosh pits at his shows and LARP as sid vicious
It's not only the only good reboot but the only cartoon that can make me laugh, I think being dead did wonders for it, maybe Southpark would be good if the took a ten year long haitus
Who cares if it's not relatable, Looney tunes was never relatable
This reboot too much shit from Cinemaphile, especially the possibly underaged homosexuals who b***h about anything 90s/2000s being “outdated”. I’m not huge on the new video reviews they do, but damn, some of the new episodes are genuinely funny af and Mike Judge still has it. Almost makes me have hope in the King of the Hill reboot, as well. Other reboots should take note.
Do you think they'd like King Gizzard?
Imagine them commenting on Demon Hunter. Christian cucks wouldn't like that.
They'll only rock out to Robot Stop and Big Fig Wasp
I bet you would hate if they commented on Skillet
Funny you say that because I don't listen to Shillex
Whoops, meant for
>WAHHH ANYTHING I DONT LIKE IS A SHILL WAHHHH
This zoomer homosexual actually mistook Skillet for Skrillex. Holy shit lmao
>unironically using zoomer
kys
I’m curious: How old is the majority of Cinemaphile? I swear half of these people are under 18.
I'm 37.
Turning 30 next month, grew up watching B&B reruns then my mom got me that timelife collection on DVD.
Their new album is great
I'm just going off of clips on YouTube so idk if it applies to the while show itself but why do they seem *friendlier* in the new seasons?

Rock music is dead in the mainstream.
I had no clue there were new rock/metal bands
This.

Just let beavis and butthead die
Even some bartenders get all pissy when you play certain rock/metal bands on the jukebox now. What the frick happened? Not everyone wants to listen to rap.
frick em, youre paying to play
They do? Frick them I'll play what I want.
Frick em. If they don't want the music being played, they shouldn't offer it.

Worked pretty well in Regular Show.
I agree with you. The thing is that slackers have evolved.
They are probably fatter nowadays.

Whites can't even do rock correctly anymore
Blacks don't play any rock or metal.

>Polling Place
>Sad Boys
It's been a great season
Butthead telling it like it is.
