KotH's comedy is too dry and I find all the voices to be annoying. Office Space has no good jokes and the big comedic moment of a movie are the guys beating a printer or some shit that was giving them issues earlier in the movie with a baseball bat while a rap song which was dated even at the time the movie came out was playing in the background. The dumb fricking stapler scene too. It was corny and not very funny at all. I generally have good taste when it comes to funny shit but these are not very good at all.

Yeah let's not pretend like that show is the beacon of comedy. It's got it's fans but it's mediocre at best. I'll accept that it's not my cup of tea but it's no masterpiece by any stretch.

                >it's no masterpiece by any stretch

                Anonymous

That depends. If we're talking about just entertainment, I look at the first 7 Marx Brothers films as examples or something like Blazing Saddles would be a great choice. I would also include Borat if I can be more contemporary. If we're talking about animation or more specifically "adult" animation, I would put the first 8 or so seasons of The Simpsons on a pedestal. I also hold the earlier seasons of Aqua Teen in high regard but that's more silly than it is clever although there are plenty of great verbal exchanges between the characters that are worth noting.

                >the first 7 Marx Brothers films
They're a little formulaic, don't you think? Groucho is great, but I can't stand Harpo.
                >Blazing Saddles
No arguments there. Young Frankenstein and High Anxiety are also good.
                >Borat
The first one was hilarious, but the sequel was pretty bad. The same imho is true for his other earlier stuff (Ali G and Bruno) - fantastic starts which Cohen just couldn't sustain.
                >Aqua Teen
Again, no arguments - great stuff. Have you watched Space Ghost Coast to Coast? It's the direct precursor to ATHF and very funny/surreal, especially in the first four seasons.

Nobody talks about it because it focused on two very narrow and (at least on 4chins) very unpopular musical genres. Both seasons are enormously repetitious, and so quickly become boring unless you're a big country/western or funk fan.

        Anonymous

        >and so quickly become boring unless you're a big country/western or funk fan.
This is the dumbest shit I've read all week. You don't have to be a fan of a particular genre of music to enjoy the stories being told in a cartoon comedy. It's not like it's 22 minutes of someone playing an album. You can watch shit based on anything and enjoy it if it's entertaining. You think most people who watch Raging Bull or Rocky is specifically a fan of boxing? You think anyone who watches Gordon Ramsey is a fan of cooking? No, dumbass. You watch because it's good and fun to watch. The music aspect is not that prevalent in the show itself. Also you have to be a moron to not enjoy outlaw country and funk.

Both seasons focus on small cliques of interrelated artists. There's simply not enough there to generate interest beyond one or two episodes; entire seasons of the same stories about pretty much the same people = repetitious and boring. And, sorry, but nobody gives a frick about Waylon Jennings or James Brown. Now go be pretentious somewhere else, homosexual.

Yes these vague words you keep using to describe something without actually articulating your point aside from making statements that are factually untrue about the contents of the show itself.
            >same stories
            >about the same people
No one who's seen the show would even understand what you're talking about because it's so baffling and hard to understand

The humor felt off. Referencing capeshit like Into The Spider-Verse. That montage with the zoomer rap music. The "you can't hear important information I'm telling you because of loud noises" cliche. Family Guy-esque jokes that went for too long, like Butthead trying to push Beavis into the toilet. And the animation looked like a cheap adult swim flash cartoon. Modern day social politics, all that white privilege shit, shouldn't be anywhere near B&B. Even if they make fun of it, I'd rather they didn't even acknowledge its existence. And the tired Cornholio bit felt like ticking a box on the nostalgia checklist.

Mike Judge is a libertarian. I have never said him mention anything about Beavis and Butt-Head being representative of conservatives, just 14 year old boys.

I do. I care about supporting Mike Judge and his projects in the hopes it means we can get more of it. Pirating it wrong and everyone should subscribe to Paramount+ to watch it and then unsubscribe at a later date if they want.

        I don't have paramount+ and don't wanna pirate

I never understood why people think that B&B can't translate to modern era, etc.

The premise is two unbelievable horny idiots getting into all sorts of wacky adventures that they're completely oblivious too because of their idiocy, you can do it in literally any day and age.

I just want them to score once bros, I was really hoping it would have happened. Although the alternate beavis scoring, and butthead getting a medal for hiding in a suitcase and watching was pretty good
