Niel’s line of thinking always came off as very limiting and shallow
      >Something must be impossible because we can’t accomplish it
      >Something can not be real because we cannot find it
      >I will not change my way of thought and logic because my own logic says so

I didn't watch whatever that is, but I'm assuming it's about religion? Neil Degrassi "Mike" Tyson being cringe notwithstanding, we can make up any number of scenarios and they "might be possible", but if you have no proof then there is no reason to believe you. So even being cringe, he still lands on the right conclusion.

Yeah, maybe God exists, it's possible. Is there proof for it? Nope. So no reason to believe it, any more than there is reason to believe any other made up shit.

I've always felt that science is the new religion.
It shares all the same tentpoles of religion, the most important one being:
          >I don't know how this works, but at some point in the future science will explain it
          >I don't know how this works, but at some point in the future God will explain it

Absolute proof shouldn't be a prerequisite for belief in something.
I have no absolute proof that I won't die tomorrow, but I believe I won't. Because likelihood and understanding of our surroundings instructs how we respond to permanent ambiguity.
The likelihood that something conscious and intelligent made us far outweighs the likelihood that something random did.
              At least for my money.
Ultimately, belief in a god comes down to personal incredulity.
It's an ambiguous question that we can only solve based on knowledgeable likelihood.

                >Absolute proof shouldn't be a prerequisite for belief in something
Correct, it should be proof beyond a reasonable doubt. You have zero proof whatsoever for your claims, so I have reasonable doubt. In fact I have no reason whatsoever to believe anything you're claiming because you've put forward zero evidence. Imagine showing up to trial and saying "U-uhh, just trust me he did it!! Look at the cameras!!" and people look at the camera footage and nothing's on it. Then you try to convince the judge and jury that it actually happened, it was all just invisible and to "have faith" that it really happened. This is moronic delusion and not worth anything, your case would be thrown out immediately because it's nonsense. If you want to believe nonsense that's on you, stop trying to make me entertain your delusions. It's on the same level as a troony trying to convince me he's a woman.

I currently haven't listed any proof, I assume we both knew what we were working with. I believe the proof lies in science.
If my belief solely relied on me only having personal faith, yes, it would be ridiculous.
But I rely on science to explain religion. It does quite the job for me.

                >The likelihood that something conscious and intelligent made us far outweighs the likelihood that something random did.
You only say this because of your own biases and cannot conceive of alternatives

This just does nothing for me. You can assume I haven't thought about any other side all you want, but it's a useless accusation altogether, and really serves no purpose beyond self-gratification.

                >But I rely on science to explain religion.
The scientific process cannot explain religion because it requires proof and experimentation. There is no proof for the supernatural and all experimental data actively disproves it. What are you talking about?

I'm saying it's not as random a thought as you're making it out to be.
                The choices we have are:
                >The universe had a beginning and was made randomly somehow
                >The universe had a beginning and something intelligent made it
                and
                >The universe didn't have a beginning and always existed
The second idea seems reasonable to reach. It isn't as random as
                >The universe had a beginning and my butthole shot out nine hundred miles an hour at warp speed and inverted itself on a mini-fridge while singing the soundtrack to Yentl.
                It's a logical idea.
The universe, alongside our species and the other life on this planet, is so complex that something intelligent might have made it.
Not as braindead or random as you're portraying it as.

                Anonymous

It is braindead because it's something asserted with no proof. Why not just say "I don't know, there is no compelling evidence" instead of coming up with some nonsense?

The idea of science is directly opposed to a universe of randomness. If the universe is subject to a random existence then you can not reliably record repeating phenomena.

What you just said is absolutely irrelevant to the question of whether God/the supernatural exists. It proves absolutely nothing, it argues for absolutely nothing, other than the observable fact that the universe has order to it. Did you think I was going to argue against that? Whether the universe has order to it or not makes absolutely zero difference when coming up with copes for why a deity supposedly exists, other than ascribing that order to your deity, which, again, there is zero proof for. It's you using faulty, backwards logic to arrive at a preconceived conclusion.

                This is getting repetitive.
Because the evidence we have makes it the most logical option to me.
The point of science isn't just saying
                >I don't know better just leave it alone!
                Right?
We're supposed to try and best figure things out.
And the idea of something intelligent making something intelligent makes more sense than something unintelligent randomly making intelligence.
Just a kind of basic idea. I don't know how else I can word this.

Alright. Maybe one day I'll wake up and find it more logical that everything just happened to be as perfectly designed as it is, but until then, I'll wait for the proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

                Anonymous

Nothing is "perfectly designed". Life is extremely faulty and haphazard, many organisms barely function and species get wiped out constantly. Loads of people develop cancer because of a small slip-up in their genetic code. What "perfection" are you talking about, exactly? I don't see it anywhere. I see systems operating as best they can, often failing, sometimes succeeding.

                Anonymous

The perfection that allows us to even exist in the first place. The perfection that allows mistakes to form.
Science observes on a minimal scale all it wants, but at the end of the day, it can't answer on a big scale. And the theories it has aren't fulfilling, as they rely on just as much happenstance and gap filling as religion does.
It took me a long time to notice it, but finally seeing it really opened my eyes.
Science has small answers, but its big answers are clouded in just as much guesswork.

                >And the theories it has aren't fulfilling, as they rely on just as much happenstance and gap filling as religion does.
No. Absolutely not, you're just so moronic you probably genetically can't understand it. Probably a Black person or something. Either that or coping so hard you've entered full schizophrenic delusion. Either way, sad.

                >No, Schizobabble, Black person, moronic, Cope, Delusion
This is what I mean. No actual attempt to prove anything, just personal incredulity. This is what science comes down to when it isn't being used in it's most logical manner.
Perfection must exist, or else imperfection would not. Therefore, yes, life is both perfect and imperfect. Not perfect because it is imperfect, but capable of being imperfect because it is at some level, perfect.
I need to start working pretty soon, so is there anything else you'd like to add of substance before I stop actively replying?

It’s not the teachers. They don’t make the curriculum, they just teach it. The administration makes it, and they’re guided by politicians, voters, and 3rd party companies/researchers (overwhelmingly leftist). The teachers aren’t failing to teach the curriculum, the curriculum is failing the students because it has been dumbed down and simplified so the students can pass, and that is necessary because the parents and government fail their children and raise them to not take school and their future properly. While there are a lot of batshit woke leftist teachers out there, the silent majority recognize when a curriculum is a joke, however those curriculums are typically in black schools which the woke leftist teachers who fail to recognize that gravitate too. In short, raise your kids in a white town.

To woke leftists it is. They don’t want children educated, they just want to say they’re educated. The parents and government will blame the children’s failures on the budget or racism, they’ll make some stupid changes and lower standards even further, they’ll probably just get rid of state testing at some point. What will never happen is blacks taking responsibility for their failures or shortcomings though, it’s never their fault and that’s why things never get better for them. That’s why the conversation has shifted away from equality and towards equity instead. Equality wasn’t working because equal opportunities doesn’t matter if blacks don’t put in equal work and effort, so now we have equity which is just pushing blacks past the finish line even if they didn’t earn it or are qualified for it. It’s why I stay away from anything or anyone that isn’t white or Asian. A black doctor? No thanks they’re probably a quota and will kill me.

              >In short, raise your kids in a white town.
From about 2002-2017 it was possible to raise kids in major cities like NYC and Chicago and provide a safe nice life as long as you lived in a White neighborhood and sent them to private school. The public transit was clean, relatable, and safe. Cops enforced the laws.

But now every neighborhood is a shithole. White people get carjacked in Lincoln Park every day. israeli kids on the Upper East Side get the shit kicked out of them walking home from school. Wealthy Chinese in San Francisco are attacked waiting for the bus in Outer Sunset.

We’re sliding back into the urban paradigm of the 70s and 80s which means major cities will be extremely gritty dangerous and dirty places unfit to raise kids of any age.

This is one of the biggest problems with libtards, you think if you hire *just* the right teacher who explains that actually Shakespeare and Tupac weren’t so different, it’s possible to turn a classroom full of 80 iq Black folk into productive citizens. It simply isn’t.

Also, the britons immediately took to the roman way of life, learned to read and write, and they are not of massively inferior genetic stock. This is shown by their ability to assimilate and even surpass the romans. Meanwhile blacks cannot assimilate anywhere on the planet, with a few rare individual exceptions.

My favorite example of this was when 250,000 Nigerians moved to Guangzhou, China in the early 2010s. Within 3 years, the neighborhood they settled in became the most dangerous neighborhood in all of China, a developing nation of 1,500,000,000 people. The government forcefully deported most of them a few years later.

The education system lost an arms race years ago and it still can’t admit it. I’m sure with all our Wow Science! we could condense the classroom curriculum into 30 second TikTok splitscreens with family guy clips and subway surfer underneath.

But those who become educators wouldn’t be educators if they knew how to think of novel solutions to problems.

My mom was a teacher a few years ago. She taught her entire kindergarten class how to read. Back then that was the standard, but nowadays it's very impressive as most teachers now say middle schoolers can barely read or write coherent sentences. It used to just be a phrase said by every previous generation, but kids nowadays are absolutely 100% dumber. Chronic ipad usage from age 0 + online school has crippled their attention span, social skills, and will to learn.

I think they know. The real question is: how come for other people the beep is annoying enough for them to change the battery or at least remove it, while blacks are ok with this thing chirping in the middle of the night like it's crickets or the hands of a clock.

        Anonymous

The same reason they don’t care about loud bass music in apartment buildings or people yelling in the parking lot outside their bedroom at 3 am. They have extremely low IQs and generally dulled senses

          Anonymous

They probably register the beep as either a feature that indicates the detector is working or as a misfunctionning they can't do anything about.

There's no desire to push the reasonings beyond that, like "this thing is for safety so it's supposed to be operational 24/7, but it works on batteries so the batteries will have to be changed at some point, so the device may have a system to warn me when that happens, and since it makes sounds when it detects smoke maybe it makes another sound when the batteries are low".

I think the chirp is less an IQ thing in this case and more just that Africa is a loud place whereas Europe, Asia, etc all have quiet.

They could change the battery, they could take the battery out, they could pull the smoke alarm out and stick it in a box somewhere so they don't have to hear it, but instead all they do is allow it to beep ceaselessly without end. Either too stupid to figure out what the beeping is, too lazy to change the battery, too shortminded to remember they need to change the battery, it doesn't matter- in every scenario it just shows a fascinatingly low amount of intellect amongst them. Whether it's the culture they grow up in or inherited low iq that makes them this way idk, but I pray it's the former since the latter would be a hell of a lot harder to fix.
