Happy for him. Not just anyone gets to fill all of their comics with blatant self-inserts and fetishes while also being rewarded so handsomely for it. Truly living the dream. The man blatantly self-inserted into three separate characters to date Kitty Pryde. What a madman.

The era of Fandom Writers has been very negative for the field overall. But, also, I get it.

DC pays great royalties for comics. WB is horrible paying royalties for comic characters used in other mediums.

From what guys like Chuck dixon said, it's better and more consistent if you get adapted in other media or merchandise, even if it's like a pasta noodle. Comic residuals aren't for monthlies, but collections, and those dry up. But for Marvel I think most residuals come from the tpbs

      This
WB pays creators a bonus or something
Probably why they ended up with so many legacies

Marvel is famously cheap. Didn't Len Wein say he got paid more for Lucius Fox appearing in Batman Begins than he did for every Wolverine appearance combined?

Jim Starlin got paid more for the KGBeast showing up in Skwad than he ever got paid for Thanos in the MCU

and most of the GOTG cast

Todd Mcfarlane received more money from a minor character in Stargirl than the venom movies combined

McFarlane got paid 5000 dollars for fricking Venom movie.
Marvel is notorious for that kinda thing.

    As far as I know...
There are no royalties for derivative characters, is like a grey area.

Oh yeah he should totally get all of Stan and Ditko's money because he told an artist to colour in Spider-Man differently

Every sycophant who has been with Marvel the past decade plus is basically a janny who does it for free but stays around cause in their hearts they’re still man children who just wanna smash their action figures together.

Spider-Man wearing a black suit existed long before Bendis anon
