who the frick is even watching these shitty CGI slopfests and why are there so many?
monkeys
Black people. They think it's the new black panther
You already made that joke in the other thread.
I'll do it in every thread and you're gonna seethe at of them
>any reply other than "based" is seething
Black person newbie
It is. You're quite literally seething
Frick you Black person
tasteless shitbrain normies and nogs eat this slop up, same with capeshit.
Because they're not shitty at all. They're legitimately good films.
i do not watch films that are 90% CGI and the main "characters" 100% CGI
i'd rather just play a video game if that's the case
Okay.
Then frick off back to Cinemaphile, you troglodyte.
The Ape movies are kino thoughever.
True.
Me. First 2 were very good. 3rd was pushing it, but enjoyable.
Dawn is the best one. Why? Bonobo on horseback dual-wielding M249s.
They're actually good
>It's popular
>I HATE IT
Typical 'chan contrarian.
I liked "Rise", but it had problems. "Dawn" was excellent. "War" was a bad film saved by performances. From what I heard of "Kingdom" it sounds like they thought even less of the story conceit, which even "War" took more chances on.
>I liked "Rise", but it had problems. "Dawn" was excellent. "War" was a bad film saved by performances
Rise was decent.
Dawn was boring.
War was dogshit. One of the more forgettable franchises.
They probably got some type of vertical integration going on, making all these films relatively cheap.
My friend hasn't seen the first Heston one. Are these slopfests spoiler heavy?
There's really nothing to spoil besides the fact that the Planet of the Apes was Earth all along which is just common knowledge even if you've never seen a single planet of the apes movie and it's spoiled by the mere existence of the prequels.
why dont they do it in practical fx like the original
I liked them
Why does it seem like CGI in movies is getting progressively worse lately? Saw a commercial for this and it legit looks like a playstation game cutscene from a decade ago.
Really good CGI has references to work from. Stuff like Starship Troopers and POTC looks so good because there was a mix of practical effects for the computer nerds to work with. SS had full size animatronic warrior bugs and POTC built a big section of ship for the actors to move on. They don't do that anymore because it's cheaper just to film people flailing around in a big green room.
>really good CGI
My autistic cousin could create CGI better than this shit
Outsourcing to streetshitters. This is a shot from Dawn which came out a fricking decade ago.
Looks uncanny. The issue with CGI is that even the best of it looks uncanny after a couple of years.
My gf was watching the Clash of the Titans remake recently and I was struck by how OK the cgi looked compared to modern standards, despite thinking it looked shite at the time.
Is it bad that I enjoy rewatching that one more than the original film (which I also enjoy)?
I think I just like Medusa a lot, she’s cute.
very cool concept but the movies seem lame. i need to see apes brutally killing humans and ripping them apart and ape rape scenes
>ape rape scenes
really that's all i want. i want to see hot girls getting raped by the apes
otherwise what's the point?
It was pretty good, I wish the orangutan didn’t die so soon and Proximus got more screentime but I really liked the ending.
Proximus should've replaced the Silverback enforcer and been the one to raze the village to the ground. No point in the Sliverback Black person when they immediately go to the final 1-1 with Proximus at the end
Ending is kino, agreed
>Beneath the Escape from the Dawn of the Battle for the War for the Rise of the Conquest of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Of the Apes
>Spark of the Fire of the Burning of the Planet of the Apes
Will this movie set the conditions for the return of Colonel Taylor?
Yes but instead of being played by Charlton Heston he will be played by Laverne Cox
Bring back Roddy McDowell!
>Intelligent human holdouts still exist in the world
>Apes are very clearly advancing and are starting to form kingdoms (Proximus was a jackass but if there's already a guy like him forming a country out of the ape tribes that are definitely other kings out there who know how to manage their realms)
>Apes are already starting to acquire advanced human weapons and technology and have members who are smart enough to figure out how to repair or maintain them
Is this gonna end in another Humanity vs Apes war for domination?
obviously
