Not surprising. If they made it true to the books then it would just remind everyone that women can't be trusted to make decisions. Every single book is just about women or a woman fricking things up on such a monumental scale that it will destroy humanity. In the first book a woman kills several people and also informs an alien race of the position of Earth in the hopes that they'll arrive and kill everyone. The last book is even worse. A woman finally takes over the role of overseeing the defence of the earth and within seconds of taking the job manages to turn all of humanity into slaves for aliens because she isn't willing to defend people. Then she vetoes the only possible way humanity could save itself in an extinction scenario, FTL travel, and after vetoing this she then takes the only FTL ship to save herself and let all of humanity die.
How do people know this Chinese book so well?
Every other mention of China on Cinemaphile is followed by immediate "chinksect" hate and liveleak spam, social credit, Winnie the Pooh and small dick jokes.
On Reddit and in the mainstream it's not any better because of the Uyghurs and Hong Kong, but suddenly now this chinky stuff gets a pass and Hollywood is ok with adapting it and Cinemaphile thinks it's normal?
What am I missing here?

You didn't take the cia/idf/indian/russian troll farms seriously did you?
Everyone loves China.
Good thing their track record confirms they will ruin all they touch so it's an automatic pass
3bp is a neat story to summarize and chat about with a friend, though.
Enemy Aliens can create black holes and destabilize the macro universe, but you can avoid them with micro universes where you are immortal in a house with perfect tech to keep your cyber brain happy.
5 trillion years later someone figures out how to reset the universe with a new big bang but needs the energy from (most?) the micro universes to do it, but it's a voluntary decision for every individual in their own micro universe.
they're going to make ye wenjie sympathetic by making her treatment by the ccp auschwitz-tier
instead of scientists committing suicide sophon is going to be an elite scientist assassin robot (and there will be at least one sex scene with her)
if they ever get to book 3 the message about women and feminine societies being weak and self destructive will not be present

Read a book, homosexual
The problem is you're an illiterate moron, and immediately gravitate to illiterate moron threads, keeping you ignorant of culture.

Isn't there already a TV series of this?
Why don't they just sub or dub the Chinese version?
