the worst thing about the show imo is the fricking shitty editing. The show swaps POVs like every 20 seconds, including flashbacks and its annoying as frick. Just dedicate an episode to one story jesus christ we dont need to watch all 3-4 stories unfolding at the same time in 20 second segments WITH flashbacks interjected in there.
This is a problem with a lot of tv. Game of thrones was unbearable with that shit, for instance.
Writers are literally battling brain damage in their audience from smart phone abuse. Movies from just 20 years ago seem glacially paced.

Blue Eye Samurai IS actually good though. Scavengers reign is a good premise stretched way too far/not used creatively enough. The idea of a adapting to an alien ecosystem is cool. But every solution to their problem in the story is just "bro rub this fruit on yourself!". The lifecycles of the aliens are way too familiar to animals on earth too that it becomes pretty repetitive. I have also mentioned the shitty editing. The characters in scavengers reign are also flat and one-note and the dialog use cringeworthy. Especially from the troony sounding "evil" woman.
Blue eye samurai in comparison is almost flawless and is legit one of the best TV shows to be released in a good couple of years.
