I feel like most view these movies as something special because many things about them have been copied but done poorly like these movies did the playing music over scenes thing well but so many movies have copied that like Star Trek beyond, transformers rise of the beasts, etc and they’ve all done it poorly
GotG 3’s “less is more” approach came off as obnoxious rather than meditative. Making Rocket the emotional center of the film felt inorganic while also robbing the film of any real stakes outside of a really expensive therapy session in space.
Will Poulter as Adam Warlock was also disappointing. It embarrassingly felt like an extension of his “We’re The Millers” character rather than a revelation ala 2014 Winter Soldier, Idris Elba in Hobbs and Shaw (underrated performance) or Hans Grub’ in Inglorious Basterds.
I want to give Gunn the benefit of the doubt by assuming he intentionally delivered a milquetoast production to Disney since his Suicide Squad film was a visceral experience.
First one was good
Second one was just a terrible film
Third one was a disjointed mess
The music side got obnoxiously bad within the second film and was pointless in the third.
That being said there's barely been any trilogies the past 10 years, John wick 1-3 was consistently better though
Then you like Marvel movies, because Guardians is exactly the same as any other Marvel movie. From the quips, to the banter, to the no stakes action scenes.
You're right, but that's only because of how relatively disconnected the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies were from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Better than avengers
OP here, forgot to clarify that I'm trans
Actual OP here and I actually am trans. How does that matter?
Forgot pic.
What kind of person actually saves a picture like that to their computer?
ikr who would want to look at such a mentally ill freak
Thought that was a body pillow in the thumbnail.
You right
I haven't seen a single capeshit movie and never will
Not capeshit.
Guardians movies aren't capeshit.
Not only are they capeshit, but the worse type of capeshit.
not saying much, name more trilogies from the last decade
Rocket raccoon if he was real
Meant to post this

Only time will tell with his upcoming projects.
considering there are no other trilogies in the past decade youre probably only right by default

I've only watched the first one because Zoe is in it and it's a decent space opera.
The game by the deus ex game is better though
I don’t like marvel movies I like sci-fi movies and I like guardians

The characters in marvel movies are stupid Star lord is cool and I like the actor
that's not how to train your dragon
That's how low standards have fallen, wow
reddit
>still using that word as some kinda gotcha
there's only one trilogy that matters
ahem. Green Zoe.
>Last name is Greenblatt
>Played a green character
How often do you think they joked about that?
You're right, but that's only because of how relatively disconnected the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies were from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
