Pop culture osmosis is a thing, but there are still many, many cases where if something is old with no new iterations and you DON'T have older relatives who show you that old thing, you just will never know about it.
I grew up not knowing a single thing about the Wrath of Khan because I didn't have a single family member who liked Star Trek. All those references of "KHAAAAAN!" or the like I saw in cartoons and sitcoms as a kid totally flew right over my head. I didn't watch the movie until the Abrams Star Trek came out-- I didn't even know who Khan was. Kirk and Spock were famous enough that I knew what those were without knowing anything about Star Trek, but not things like Khan or the Borg.
Betty Boop is popular, but she definitely lists around maybe a C-tier in terms of popularity. A-tier characters like Mickey Mouse, Batman or Bugs Bunny you'll just enter society and be unable to avoid them. B-tier would probably be something like Powerpuff Girls or Garfield who will remain popular as long as there is a constant reminder that they exist-- if they go a couple of decades with zero new content, they might be forgotten about. C-tier might be things that still manage to be popular with no new content, but are not super recognizable to younger generations.
>That and the never-ending stream of Betty Boop merch for broke women
Perfectly said.
Would you?
Yeah the guys in this topic saying they wouldn't are lying homosexuals. Considering most anons talk about cartoon buttcheeks they'd probably frick goats if they had the chance.
Betty Boop is an iconic character. I’m a zoomer and knew who Betty Boop is before I even watched any of her animation. Her merchandise was everywhere in the 2000s. Why do you guys think older shows and characters just disappear once you grow up?
The heyday of Betty Boop was 90 years ago. If you're a millennial, that's essentially the generation before your grandparents, in terms of target audience.
Zoomers grew up with access to the internet moron, I grew up on BTAS thanks to it. How hard is it to get through your thick skull that just cause something is before someone's time doesn't mean they can't watch it?
because people want to use zoomers as a scapegoat for everything wrong with today. you can't make up bullshit about them if you actually understand that they're just like every other generation who had access to the fricking internet t. 20-year old zoomer
>Zoomers grew up with access to the internet moron, I grew up on BTAS thanks to it.
It really is kind of weird that a lot of dudes here just don't seem to get that young people can easily find out about "old" stuff due to the nature of the internet, as if they believe that older media just somehow phases out of existence past a certain date
Despite what you hear people say on the internet, she’s a timeless character that still sells quite the merchandise. And thanks to stuff like cuphead there’s been a newfound interest for material from the golden age that a new generation has discovered.
The internet means that media know can have an appeal to any age, regardless of something not being popular.
Like I'm 21, I was too young to know about Homestar Runner.
But on Youtube I heard about them, and then watched most of their cartoons.
Betty Boop is free to watch on Youtube, and she is references in other media
This is one of the neat things about the internet
Nothing will ever be as heavily viewed or followed or culturally significant as prior generations ever again. But that also means that nothing that is available can't appeal to people who weren't around in the time, or that even the most niche, old shit can get a "fandom" even if it's a few people at most
My grandparents have a tiny house filled with an ass load of old cartoon tapes, which is how I learned about her and other old cartoons when I was a little boy
She sells a frickton of merch among my generation. My mom would tell me about her. She had a Betty Boop tshirt, too. Our parents and grandparents would tell us— so yes, we know who Betty Boop is.
It’s just that they want to be in this mindset that they only know about Fortnite and Mr Beast
Mind that the oldest Sooners were born mid 90s and more probably know about Betty then the millennial generation given people can find anything now and back of the day Betty would need to have been airing on television or film to be recognized, and she has had a long hiatus
I learned through the old bargain bin CD collections. My dad loved Speed Racer and Popeye so I learned a lot about older toons from him. After gaining access to the internet at age 10 I could watch their entire library online.
Zoomers grew up with access to the internet moron, I grew up on BTAS thanks to it. How hard is it to get through your thick skull that just cause something is before someone's time doesn't mean they can't watch it?
I grew up with a lot of shows I wouldn't have been able to watch pre internet like the 90's Tintin and World Masterpiece Theater.
Due to my access to the internet I really fell in love with the 1910's-1930's animated works like Windsor McCay and Out of the Inkwell. I have an old 16mm projector and a few reels from the 40's I pull out every once and a while for parties. Everyone calls me an "old soul" and it pisses me off. >t. a zoomer with taste
>Would you?
You're asking as if I or most of these 4 or under out of 10 virgin nerds have so many choices of women in this matter.
Of course, I would to any woman who would give me any amount of attraction and they allowed me to enter inside them. I would thank them for giving me the opportunity to experience the great pleasure of being inside their body. Yes.
>Why are you so desperate to dig for clout here?
This isn't twitter, I don't think anyone's getting clout. He's right in mocking the self-righteous homosexualry of anons who pretend to have standards
Lol, nah. He's just trying to put them down for their taste to raise himself artificially. Just because he's too stupid to figure out clout doesn't work here doesn't mean he's not digging for it.
If anything he was probably just making a joke that's too long-winded, don't let it offend you personally. It's not like he called out anyone specifically for liking women with wieners or the legit pedos that browse here
>Lol, nah. >Twitter-speak dismissal of a point rather than arguing followed by trying to characterize an anonymous poster based on two sentences rather than argue against their point
You're doing the exact same thing.
>grrrr women with short hair are men grrrrr i like to pretend women are men grrrr of course i'm not gay just hate women and like to pretend they look like men grrrr i'm a karen of Cinemaphile grrrr
>Ice Spice
I only know Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary, and Baby. Who the frick is this? I didn't even know the Spice Girls were still a thing, but now they have new members or what?
>Lol, nah. >Twitter-speak dismissal of a point rather than arguing followed by trying to characterize an anonymous poster based on two sentences rather than argue against their point
You're doing the exact same thing.
Calling out a homosexual trying to grandstand is not the same thing at all.

Tootcels on suicide watch
Damn, from the thumbnail i was hoping this was news about the Betty Boop broadway musical
Ice Spice does pull the look off well tho.
wtf i can see her ass
how do zoomers even know about betty boop
Iconic characters are iconic characters. Your grandma probably knows who Pac-Man is.

Cuphead and the Popeye movie made Fleischer trendy. That and the never-ending stream of Betty Boop merch for broke women

They’d have to be gay not to want her
Based MGM giving us new Red Hot to this day.
Imagine the smell

I remember this becoming a meme

Given how most younger folk nowadays don't give a shit about anything older than a day, I'm not surprised people feel that way.
what a moronic question
Mr Boop
Didn't that comic turn from a self aware self insert piece into some weird drama
Hard to tell. It definitely goes into a weird place but i would believe that was always his plan.
Betty Boop moves a lot of merch
How do you know what a light bulb is?
You weren't even relatives with the inventor!
Unless you're a grandpa with fountain of youth, the same way you did.
She's still on a crap ton of merch.
Despite what you hear people say on the internet, she’s a timeless character that still sells quite the merchandise. And thanks to stuff like cuphead there’s been a newfound interest for material from the golden age that a new generation has discovered.

Mr. Boop isn’t that old
Forgot about that insane webcomic
My little brother once told me that he and his friends use the internet
My grandparents have a tiny house filled with an ass load of old cartoon tapes, which is how I learned about her and other old cartoons when I was a little boy
She sells a frickton of merch among my generation. My mom would tell me about her. She had a Betty Boop tshirt, too. Our parents and grandparents would tell us— so yes, we know who Betty Boop is.
Up there with Hello Kitty in merchandising
>How do zoomers know about one of the most iconic animation characters of all time?

It’s just that they want to be in this mindset that they only know about Fortnite and Mr Beast

merchandise
Im not gen z(92) born but betty boop merchandise used to be omnipresent as hello kitty for my big sister
I always thought Ice Spice was someone from Spice Girls brought back into relevancy as a solo artist.
Ice Spice looks much better without that ugly red afro wig.
Would you?
She looks like a chubby Chinese lady
Dress up as Betty Boop? Nah
No.
I'd boop boop her doop.
Only if she maintains the voice throughout.
And the garter belt stays on.
>Would you?

Why are you so desperate to dig for clout here?
Sure. Seems like a fun one night stand.
>Why are you so desperate to dig for clout here?

You're doing the exact same thing.
Yuck, mulattos are hideous.
Says the fat neckbeard
Doja cat is hot.
Was. Looks crap after losing weight.
No. She looks like a troony
>grrrr women with short hair are men grrrrr i like to pretend women are men grrrr of course i'm not gay just hate women and like to pretend they look like men grrrr i'm a karen of Cinemaphile grrrr
It's not her short hair it's her face.
>sees a woman
>say its a man
you're gay
Oh yes, in fact I would make her my wife.
Not wifey material
Yeah, I ain't gay.
Bit of a butterface but yeah sure why not.
She actually looks good without that stupid Ronald McDonald haircut she usually has.
agreed
I feel like it's more that she looks so awful that this looks hot by comparison
>3DPD
No
>choosing 3D over 2D
>there are anons in this thread that would
What can I say, I think actual nosebridges are attractive
I mean, you have to accept that 2d isn't going to happen in real life. That's when you accept that robots are the future.
>Still continuing a 2005 meme
She should unironically keep that look. It suits her better than her usual style.
Yes
>human woman
Instant pass
>those nails
No way that's prime STI material right there.
>subhuman brown eyes
hell no my niggy
Yes. But probably only once.
Frick no.
I would normal Ice Spice
I would not this Ice Spice. Those big hair curls and those nails are a big turn off
My culture is not your Halloween costume, take it off nigress !
I for one welcome our new Betty boop cosplay overlords
Me too
I don't like that moronic upper lip licking expression she keeps doing. She looks much better in the photos where she isn't doing that
oop a doop
Who?
Betty Boop cartoons are so fun bros, just watch one or two of them on Youtube, I've never seen a boring one
I'd be her munch any day.
Now let's see her dress up as Princess Daisy
>Ice Spice
I only know Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary, and Baby. Who the frick is this? I didn't even know the Spice Girls were still a thing, but now they have new members or what?
Metv does it again
Who the frick is Ice Spice?
The latest Nicki Minaj wannabe
Calling out a homosexual trying to grandstand is not the same thing at all.
Stop trying to grandstand, then.
Sure buddy, whatever you say
Can tell your feelings got hurt by
lmao
PLAP
let's see her with that hand out of the way
Ice Spice is disgusting

Black people are going to become unironic brapgays IRL and have women brap while twerking
Hot
Built for BWC
Remember to tell Zoomers that Betty Boop is canonically only 16 years old
>tiktok thot
i refuse, die.
i know you're 36 and autistic but at least read anything in the thread before posting Kyle
If this isn't leading to porn, I'm going to be sad.
There's plenty of Betty Boop porn already, she's been around for nearly 100 years.
how much of it involves Ice Spice though
Hopefully none of it, she looks awful.
Ice is unironically hotter as Betty Boop than with her normal look
who the frick is ice spice
I like her
Good taste
Meh.
Anyone have the one with the celebrity dressed up as Kida from Atlantis?
Doja Cat was based.
Thanks. I also remember of Dija dressed up as Kida.
this
>talentless 3DPD cheap bawd
made more last weekend than you'll make over your entire life working in retail
Are you implying Ice Spice is relevant at all?
