Why exactly is this movie Reddit and not say, Fight Club
r/Dudeism, redditors literally invented a religion around this movie.

>ctrl+f “reddit”

you have a brain problem. i would’ve said this was reddit’s favorite movie like 10 yrs ago but the culture is always shifting & i just don’t think kids watch the big lebowski like they used to. it’s a shame
Dudeism was founded in 2005 by Oliver Benjamin, a journalist. It was before Reddit.
Even the less well written Fight Club teaches its audience some painful truths about trauma and triumph. But Reddit? Reddit exists to make sure no one can challenge world power by speaking truth to it. A massive platform designed to protect the top of the pyramid, not teach how the top of the pyramid actually functions on a moment-by-moment basis. Whoever designed Reddit must be well versed in Leninist control techniques. "I will control the opposition by leading it myself."
everything everywhere all at once is the most reddit cringiest film
I just watched this and I spent the entire movie repeating the words "this is reddit, this is memes, this is reddit, this is memes..." under my breath.
I fricking hated it. I was writhing around on the floor in front of the chair for the last 30 minutes it was so painful.
>Ayy quirky A24 movie lmao
If you liked it you're in the wrong place
american psycho
fight club
joker
the list goes on
firefly movie exists
Nope again. The Firefly movies teaches the most forbidden of truths (other than knowledge of issuing currency as a loan like the central banks have done for thousands of years,) that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. We learn the Reavers were the result of a GoodeyTwoShoes attempt to make humans more peaceful. The attempt fails terribly, making most people too apathetic to live with a small number of them going super violent and becoming Reavers. One of R's biggest goals is to trick idiots into thinking you never pave a road to Hell with good intentions. That would hurt smug fee, fee's in an unrepairable way. Those wiser but less smug folks might start to wonder how Economic Justice relates to central banking and who exactly issue the new currency as a loan. Entertainment has to suck because if it teaches fundamental truths about how society actually functions at a nuts and bolts level, commoners know precisely where to take their complaints, instead of fighting other commoners.
The movie itself is good and enjoyable, but somehow over the years the cult who worship the movie and The Dude are the actual issue. There are far worse Reddit movies than this, movies that from inception pander to the most bland mainstream trends and opinions, eg almost all of capeshit. The Coens movies may not all be good but they do actually try to make good interesting entertaining movies, or at least did.
Deadpool
i won't read any replies but i just wanted to say that this movie is highly overrated. i did not enjoy my time watching this shit
any Taika Wakaliki film
Saltburn for most recent reddit
then why was it shilled here in ye days of old
This is great movie. Every Marvel movie is "reddit the movie" along with Star Wars. The Big Lebowski is just a good Cohen brothers movie. Also, choosing to not like a film because of who else likes it is pretty reddit.
Highly overrated I was expecting far more from it when I watched it last year. But I liked the aggro Vietnam vet guy
I have been getting into movies past few years and then started doing movie trips with mushrooms and this movie is one of my best experiences. You might think it's not flashy but it's not about that, it's clever, subtle. It's very stylish, the British lady, the porn producer's house. Interesting and funny characters. Maybe I'm mistaken but I'm surprised this movie isn't talked about a little more like maybe Pulp Fiction level. I recommend giving it a shot at least if you haven't seen it.
Thanks for your opinion, drug addict. I’ll be sure to take your advice very seriously.
Nope. The Big Lebowski actually thinks for itself in a few scenes. The Dude and Walter actually learn a little bit more about life than when they started their journeys. Reddit doesn't do that, instead relying on government approved sources and censorship to tell them what to think. Note how in Big Lebowski they actually have to struggle to get through the problems they are facing. The Dude has to take a beating. Walter has to get in combat with the Nihilists. Donnie dies of a heart attack from the stress. Reddit never suffers such trials. Tell them one controversial but thousands of years old truth such as how the writers of the Old Testament knew to ban usury 3,000 years ago and say that means the writers knew very well how banking and lending worked, and they perma ban your account. Reddit doesn't face up to top of the pyramid level truths. The characters in BL have to face up to and or endure hard truths before realizing they have been deceived. They have to endure loss, violence and misunderstandings. Reddit doesn't have to do all that because it is shepherded by greedy people related to the central bankers and the safety of the herd. Reddit doesn't challenge its own core assumptions about life or any particular event. They aren't allowed to. That's why film classes will be teaching about BL for decades to come but nobody will miss Reddit if it fails and some new generic and censored platform crops up to take its place.
>I rely on Truth Social and Alex Jones to know what I think!
You can read up on the history of central banking and the Federal Reserve has a long discussion about why it does things the way it does. You can schedule a tour of the Federal Reserve, too. You know money is important to entertainment and educational media but you are resistant to face up to how that effects what is funded in TV, Movies and Education. One would think you had a direct interest in not discussing an issue so critical to every business that uses currency. Every writer and performer in the business has a direct need to know. If one can't even discuss how money makes its way from the central banks to major studios and everywhere else, why allow free speech at all? You might just get better tv and movies out of the discussion.
My dad loved this movie so it reminds me of him. Does reddit ever say "how Cinemaphile of you?" Why do you guys give so much of a shot about that fricking website like shut the frick up.
i love this movie but i hate everyone who loves it
Have you considered that you have brain rot
