Big things ahead for?

>Shelby Oaks
>budget 2 million
>box office 50 million
>propells Stuckmann to Hollywood status
>he gets given 5 million dollars and can do whatever he wants for his second film
>makes another horror kino to really practice his craft of kino
>box office smash
>now for his third film he literally has the power to ask for a A-lister like a Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Hemsworth or Mark Tuffalo, doesn't mean they have to agree, but he'll be in a position to ask the studio to hire them
We live in a timeline where its actually possible that /ourguy/, Mr Stuckmann, could be making kinos with Brad Pitt one day, if everything goes well with Shelby Oaks. Think about it.

The next Kubrick or the next Anderson?

Kubrick seems more inline with Stuckmann's style. Shelby Oaks will be at least on par with The Shining.

      Probably not the next Kubrick.
      >Frederic Raphael, who co-wrote the Eyes Wide Shut screenplay with Kubrick, claimed that the filmmaker once allegedly remarked that A.H. [Adolf Hitler] had been "right about almost everything". Raphael, initially unsure how to respond, ultimately decided it was "an unassuming jest". Kubrick's relationship to his own ethnicity allegedly deeply troubled Raphael, a fellow israelite.

Stuckmann is making a genuine movie from the heart. Whether its shit or not he was thick skinned enough to put his art out there. What has RLM done? Made ironic satirical movies that are LE SUPPOSED TO BE SHIT!?! Mike would never dare attempt to make something honest for once. And Jay wouldn't have the spine to convince him

No way that will happen, after looking at his old videos, doing cheap recreations of others, like that Drive one that was super cringe, plus his current reluctance to give a fair critic just to fit in the industry, should tell you his movie will be the blandest, most milquetoast, safest söy horror movie possible

If Shelby Oaks becomes successful, and he gets to make another film he'll just become an Adam Wingard at worst, or a James Wann at best. Wingard in the sense of he's just going to be a yes man director for some producer or studio and will be the scapegoat if a big budget movie bombs (even though he didn't make any calls).

That being said, I'm happy he's probably not going to become a Rolfe (being scared to make another movie after making your first). Movie looks promising, and he seems to be able to adapt to the pain in the ass filmmaking truely is.

      >pansexual
It's been debated whether or not he's actually "pansexual" or a cynical attempt at a career booster. He knows that Hollywood has gotten obsessed with pushing diversity, so he's claiming to be pansexual instead of being another straight white dude in Hollywood.
