>Black and white morality is... le bad!
Why? Why is it bad? Black and white morals have been used in storytelling for thousands and thousands of years and they've helped to lead people down correct moral paths and not buy into immoral lines of thought and actions. Morally grey, grounded and realistic storytelling is relatively new and a modern invention. There's nothing with black and white morality for stories.
>There's nothing with black and white morality for stories.
You're doing great
How? There's nothing wrong with it.
>Inb4 reality is more nuanced
>reality is like this
>therefore every work of art should be like this as well
That's why they call it fiction, anon. Moreoever, stuff like LotR being broadly inspired by anglosaxon lore and epics, it woud of course have those very broad-sweeping themes and morals that are indeed not very nuanced, but work very we for giving your story a sense of scale and drama. It's not a nuanced story about a dude who's struggling in life so he has to deal some drugs but at the same time he's trying to be a good father to his little girl and so on, it's a tale of the forces of good against the forces of evil for the fate of the world.
Because while black and white morality may be good, this is still a ‘tism thread, which is bad

He was joking that you were taking a black and white approach to this opinion
Saying something is stupid is not a black and white approach, it just means you're moronic, especially considering you're bumping a spam thread
'tism thread, move along

What compels someone to be this autistic?
That’s not even the only image he uses
Frick Alan moore
rorschach isnt bad because of his black and white morality
he is bad because of his stunted emotional development that keeps him thinking at the same level as a child
and this leads to his total inability to compromise, in a pretty brutal jab against objectivists
its his hypocrisy and inability to adapt that makes him unpleasant
nite owl is also a silver-age hero who believes in good and bad, but he gets to have his happy ending because he isnt nearly the same stubborn ass that raw shark is
While your points may be good, you are feeding this op replies, which is bad

Black and white morality isn't bad. Absolutism is bad. Many, MANY superheroes believe in the concepts of good and evil and stand on the side of good. They are generally selfless, merciful and have a capacity to not give in to their dark impulses that most people don't. Rorschach is just an absolutist self defeating butthole and hypocrite who doesn't understand the gravity of his actions. He praised the hiroshima bombings as a necesary evil, that alone makes him far less "black and white" than most superheroes.
Basically this.
Black and white morality is bad, because by its very nature excludes the very concept of nuance and is just an extremely childish perception of a complex subject like human morality since it inherently limits you to only two extremes.
"Grey morality" doesn't exist, it's called fricking reality.
Sometimes your only choice is between two shitty options and you have to choose between sticking to your principles even if it makes life objectively worse for you and those around you or compromising your principles to avoid making things worse.
>I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are good people and bad people. You're wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.
The same spam/bait thread. Everyone replying is either an utter moron, OP or a bot.
