When I set up my work e-mail in the old job I set it to just-the-facts autist mode: Arial bold, black text, white bg, so you can read what the frick I wrote. All the women in the office had like cursive and flowers and distractions and stuff that actually gets in the way so at one point the CEO had to politely direct everyone (read: the women) to simplify their e-mail fonts and bgs. He didn't hold me up as an example of how it should look but I like to think that he had my stuff in mind.
