>black guy dies first in horror movies
I have never seen this happen ever, what other examples of memes in movies that actually never happen?

The one shark movie that wasn't jaws
Resident Evil 7 if it counts
Into the Blue
the fricking thing with the wormhole and the pencil and the paper. it was in stranger things one time and people acted like loads of films did it
Thor Love and Thunder did it in the beginning.
Event Horizon
also
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FoldThePageFoldTheSpace
Event horizon did it first.
Stargate did it a couple times
Insterstellar, Event Horizon, Thor 4, Stranger Things...it was pretty common.
Don't remember the first death most of the time anyway tbh
It's less that the black character dies first and more that, especially in 60s-present horror movies, the black character is always the comic relief whose death is meant to inspire levity. They're the least important character to the plot so they always "die first" in the minds of viewers.
?
!
?
>the black character is always the comic relief whose death is meant to inspire levity.
Name three (3) examples of a black "comic relief" character's death being played "for levity".
Scary Movie 1 2 3
Lmao
But every death in those movies is played for levity.
Scream 3
Hatchet
Various Friday the 13th movies
>Scream 3

Do you think people won't check that you're not just making things up? Black guys death isn't played for laughs in the slightest way, it's completely straight.
>"Oh you mutha fricka" said in a cartoonish coon voice
>literally gets the rug pulled out from under him like a cartoon
it's a literal joke death
I'm going to assume he meant Scream 2, but even then that was a meta thing so I wouldn't count it either.
Night Of The Living Dead, if you watch it backwards.
>Blackie Dies First
>JUST sci-fi and horror movies (since there's a lot of overlap):
>Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan
>Mars Attacks!
>Aliens
>AvP: Requiem
>Predators
>American Psycho
>Christine
>Gremlins
>Jurassic Park
And so many more if you bother to look it up or use what passes for a memory in your ugly head.
does the Black person from The Shining count
Now count all the movies where the black dude didn't die first.
Pixar’s Soul
Alien
The Thing
Park
The first character to die is an unnamed Hispanic park worker. The second is a white lawyer.
Coulda sworn the guy who got Raptor'd at the start was black, but it's also been many years since I've sat through JP.
The earworm kills you and I'm pretty sure Capt. Terrell is the first to get wormed.
>The earworm kills you
Explain how Chekov is in five later movies? Also all the Regula scientists die before Terrell gets vaped.
>Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan
The first character to die is Scotty's nephew
>check some of those randomly
>wrong, wrong, wrong...
Avp r has a white dad and kid die. Lol. Getting yous by lying. Why can't I think of this
>not even 10 examples out of tens of thousands of movies
yea, really makes it a trope...
braindead troon
mostly 90s blockbusterslop that only low iq morons (read: Black folk) would watch anyway
This might be more of a tv thing, but
>Aliens use anal probes.
Never seen it happen.
Why does it matter? Would they be ok if he was the second to die? or the last? Or let me guess, black people are too amazing to die no matter what the situation otherwise its racist.
Black people usually died because up until the last decade the main characters were white so the only black people were the supporting cast which are the ones who die to make it tense and scary for the main cast aka the people we are supposed to care about.
The Terror Within is one I saw on tv recently.
the reason everyone itt thinks this trope is made up is because it was a 70s and 80s trope, and most horror and sci fi were low budget and forgettable. so in your lifetimes, it has been recognized and phased out, while the movies that created the trope are movies nobody watches anymore
